Yeah no 4G but the last I saw they lowered the price to $9.99 with the independent apps for $4.99. -

Seriously +1 more like +99! Great product, I was amazed at what Cat101 could do with just the beta. -
iPhone Apache Simulation
HitchHikingFlatlander replied to HitchHikingFlatlander's topic in Chit-Chat
And I've had quite a bit of stick/collective time now. It's a pretty good sim for the iPhone could use some improvements but out of the box its playable and enjoyable and the physics seem right too. I have to check out some of the X-Plane apps now . NOTE: Even has Cockpit view! -
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/apache-3d-sim/id428845277?mt=8 An Apache sim for the Iphone was just released. I barely played it but initial impressions tell me it's awesome. Intuitive tilt controls with onscreen collective and rudder controls. I plan to look at it in more detail but for $2.99 I don't think you can go wrong giving it a try. Check it out! I posted a link in this thread but no one seems interested ( http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3252666/iPhone_Games_Anyone.html#Post3252666 ). Amazing what the iPhone can do!

I plan to go the Helios route with a monitor providing all avionic gauges. I know thats not what your looking for but it's gotta be the easiest cost effective solution. And with multiple small monitors you'll be at the mercy of complexity!

LOL At least some of us have kick @ss supporting wives. Just don't ask her to join the mile high club and everything usually goes smooth! Awesome set up Gadroc, really nice!

Helios is roughly the same price as DCS Warthog (I think).I plan to go the same route as Cat using Helios and the MFDs. Now DCS will supply the MFD screen output but Helios is needed for all the gauges/avionics. -
Sorry missed out on the fun was installing a new front door this weekend. Next weekend is the fence. Looks like a good time was had by all!

Cowboy yes its compatible with 5.1, if you have 5.1 output on your PC or source it plugs into the center sub channel. I'm not sure if there is a difference but I suspect BK works better with 5.1 setups since theres a dedicated sub channel. I have Xfi fatality card with a Logitech Z-5500 speaker system one f the best 5.1 speaker sets for PC or in that price range. I hate the world sounds in DCS with BK (not a BK issue) when your a mile above a target and the bomb hits it never seems proportionate to just flying the aircraft with the sound dialed. If I'm flying then switch to an external its outrageous loud! -
Custom-built backlit A10C panels in development

Nice stuff! -
I think I need a new pair of pants! Damn fine work there! LOL we already do this and still bang our heads against the wall!

My only issue now is the monitor I was planning on using is too big lol! The next spare monitor I have is too small. Well I'll figure this one out, I have my old projector too and if I set up right it might just have enough throw distance to project all the MFD/Instrument screens.
-
Damn thats awesome guys thanks for the specs! That's a huge help! I'm not aiming for pure accuracy but that's a much better starting point than trying to guess.
-
Well Leos Board has 32 inputs with an 8-way hat that can be wired to use individual buttons too. It could work, if it is the latter thats 40 buttons with the 8 way POV hat. Well for the UFC at least......
-
Well I was hoping you might have some measurement for the entire dash from your CAD drawings. It looks really smooth so I was hoping to use your design as a start. I'm not too worried about panels at the moment, but I received TM MFDs so now I'm eager to work on the dash and integrate the MFD's as well as the monitor.
-
Awesome work, I'd love to pick your brain on dash dimensions, that's my biggest sticking point right now! Keep up the great work.

Do I need to create my own thread for my question to be answered? I just added to Wedge's topic since it was practically the same issue. Please let me know what you think of my earlier post. Thanks, HHF -

EthereakN I'm having a similar issue, but its sorted for the moment. I was to the point where I needed my activation key for DCS Warthog and my order history on the main DCS page was blank. I had purchased the Beta not long after it was released, but some reason nothing showed up. After scratching my head for a bit I went to my email thats linked to the account and found the "email receipt" given after purchase which contained the key. In the case of my email getting deleted or lost that could be a big deal. What should I do to contact ED to make sure that info shows up on the DCS site? In the meantime I copied the activation key to notepad and placed it in my Warthog docs folder. Thanks, HHF -
Ditto nice stuff there!

My modest MFCD Panel + Poor Mans UFC

That programmable keypad is awesome would have made a much better PVI 800 than my saitek pro gamer command unit, though that cost me $10 bucks a electronics thrift store.
