  1. Back to you in three years when I've figured them out :)
  2. Just wanted to jump on and say thanks for including The Jeff in the free trials. It's not a module I would have considered but I'm loving it and will definitely pick up shortly. Feels great to fly and the three giant MFCDs are perfectly suited for VR. Great work Deka.
  3. Can someone please remind me - if I buy recent releases such as the F-16 and FW Anton on Steam, can I transfer the keys to stand alone and use them on both intalls, or would I be limited to the Steam install? Thanks
  4. I watched the new Midway movie the other day and in all the scenes where the SBDs are diving on the Japanese carriers, through clouds and flak, the back seat gunner trying to hold off the pursuing Zeroes, all I could think of was - damn, can't wait to do that in DCS!
  5. Seconded. I had the same issue yesterday.
  6. Wow, the sheer effort, updates, and content ED and the 3rd parties continue to pour into this game is impressive. I've never seen anything like it. Kudos to all.
  7. Here's another good option for those looking for earphones for the S: TIN T2

    I-16

Sorry if I missed this but does anyone have any feedback on this thing in VR. Specifically is there a greater sense of speed due to the open cockpit? Wind noise for example.
  9. Wags has also had the flu. If I'm throwing up the last thing I'm going to do is put on a VR headset.
  10. I had the same issue a while back. Changing the mode switch to a different position fixed it for me (I had no modes set up).
  11. I don’t get it either. Why isn’t SteamVR at 200% and in-game at 1.0 a PD of 2.0, and why isn’t SteamVR at 150% and in-game at 1.0 a PD of 1.5? Thx Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Can someone help me transition from the Rift to the O+ please. I've read bits and pieces in various threads but a checklist would be helpful in terms of getting the O+ configured for DCS. What settings do I need to be mindful of and where, exactly, do I find them? I've been running the Rift at 1.4pd (1080ti) previously. Obviously I've plugged in the O+ and installed the WMR for SteamVR app. What should I do next? :helpsmilie: Thanks
  13. Question: I've been using a Rift for the last 12 months, which I'm happy with, but just bought an O+ as I'm curious to see if it's incrementally better. Is it possible to have both the Rift and Odyssey plugged in at the same time (my graphics card has enough inputs for both), or do they trip over each other? In addition to DCS I play other games where the Rift hand controllers are useful, and would rather not have to switch out headsets on a regular basis. Has anyone experimented with this? Thanks
  14. No, not yet. I posted the same question on Virpil's forum. Will let you know if I get a response there.
  15. Can someone explain how to set up a shift mode on the WarBRD/MT50 please. Attached is the screen where (presumably) it's done but I have no clue. Just looking for one shift mode with the pinky button on the stick as the shifter. Thanks
  16. This is interesting. Was it easy to do? Was it reversible or did you need to break something to remove it? Thx
  17. Black metal box with an arming switch and red button. Of course they’re being held up in customs.
  18. Thanks Sokol! I'd never heard of Joystick Gremlin; I'll check it out.
  19. This is interesting, I also have a gladiator, but how did you make it work? I just tried this with the Viggen, which has a left brake axis and right brake axis. If I assign left brake axis to twist and then go and assign right brake axis, it just replaces left brake with right brake in the Joy_RX function in DCS. I can use one or the other but not both. Did you do something magical with the VKB software? Thanks
  20. Both packages would/should be heading west. TNT’s international air hub is at Leige, Belgium, and FedEx’s is at Paris. FedEx acquired TNT a couple of years ago, so after shipping from the factory to either of these two hubs it’s pinged over to FedEx’s US Memphis hub, followed by a flight to CO/VA the next day. FedEx has two international express rates: Priority, which currently averages US$55/package globally, and Economy, currently averaging US$47/package, so what you were both quoted is in the ballpark. The sticker shock is due to the fact that Virpil is small so gets no volume discounts, and fuel prices are currently high, pushing FedEx’s current fuel surcharge to 15%. The good news is that FedEx is the “best” at international express so chances of loss, damage, or delays is minimal.
  21. Thanks Jenrick and TOViper, this is exactly what I was looking for. Grizzly thanks for the heads up on that potential issue.
  22. I started learning the Viggen recently and want to tackle the mini campaigns shortly. Can anyone recommend which one to do first; i.e. which one is easier / most logical: Red Flag or Mjolnir? Thanks PS. Luv the tape player. thunderstruck.ogg.
  23. Lex's videos are outstanding and in an interview he stated that he doesn't have VR. Given they've just highlighted his contribution in a newsletter I think it would be a nice gesture for ED to ping him over a Rift. While they're at it they could politely suggest he join the forums here (-:
  24. The Sabre, VR, and Museum Relic campaign is a good combination. The key gauges in the Sabre are reasonably big so easy to read in VR, and the campaign, while fun and challenging in parts, is also effectively a training campaign because it introduces you to the abilities of the aircraft one by one.
