  1. Just want to say that I love the "extra snowy" version of your textures. I feel like Santa buzzing around above it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. I was thinking the same thing. I love and have pre-purchased the map, but every time I see screen shots or video I don't think 'OMG Nazi occupied Europe', I think 'boy that would be a nice place for a bicycle ride and a picnic'. Or did the Nazis implement a strict Rural Beautification Program I wasn't aware of? Did the Nazis mandate banners on significant buildings with the swastika on it? If so, maybe subtle little touches like that could be added to remind us that back then the bad guys were in charge.
  3. Has anybody got the "SA342L Sights by Schmidtfire v1.0" mod from the User Files downloads to work? It's supposed to change the 'L' crosshairs depending on whether you have rockets or cannon armed, which would be useful, but it's stuck on the cannon sight when I install it.
  4. F-15, full afterburner, 70,000 feet. Just kidding. I'll bust out the Stang initially because it feels like the right thing to do, but as others have said it's Normandy Helicopter Tours in the Gaz I'm looking forward to the most. Best way to get down in the weeds, literally.
  5. "Regain financial stability" sounds a little ominous, particularly given they're down to one revenue generating module. If anyone has been meaning to get the -21 but hasn't pulled the trigger yet, you may want to do so. Throw them a few bucks to help get them through a difficult time. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. It is now. Looks like it was added Feb 10. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Great piece Chief and 30 busted Mustangs later I see what you mean Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. [quote=Goblin;2978881 WHAT? Thunderstruck is THE Viggen themesong... ;) THUNDER!!! OMG now I've seen everything. If that's your house I'm coming over with a bottle of Jack.
  9. With regard to WWII, I think it's important for DCS' revenues and I have a similar story to Art-J. I'm not much of a jet guy, only discovered DCS a few months ago, but was hooked by the Mustang. I've now bought the Dora, Black Shark, Huey, Mig-21, and Sabre. I bought the -21, which I've barely flown, because LNS are ultimately doing the Corsair and Iwo Jima map so wanted to throw them a few bucks, although the money has no doubt been spent on the Viggen and F-14. The money I paid ED is helping pay for the F-18, and Belsimtek probably used my cash to help finish the F-5E. Point of all this being I'm one of many WWII guys subsidizing the development of your beloved jets.
  10. I upgraded to an ASUS 1070 a week ago in preparation for 2.5. Works fine, no issues. Can't speak to their customer service.
  11. Not so bad, in fact it looks to me like the crew actually walked away from that one. So well done!
  12. I've been using the Gladiator for a couple of weeks--also with the X55 throttle--and I think your first impressions are pretty accurate. I'm fairly new to flight sims and don't understand all the technical stuff, but it feels accurate and precise, the buttons feel snappy and not cheap (unlike the Cobra M5 it replaced), and the main thing I like about the Gladiator is that it's comfortable. Feels really good in the hand. I've read somewhere that the lack of buttons on the stick is an issue for modern aircraft, but there's a million buttons on the X55 throttle handle so that hasn't been an issue for me. Haven't tried (or likely need) the Wizzo software yet. Pinky button does take a little getting used to but I'm almost there and it seems reliable. And you're right about the box! Looks cool, as does the Gladiator itself in a foreboding black-dildo-on-a-display-stand kind of way. Overall, highly recommended (with the obvious reliability caveat--too soon to tell).
