Haha! I do. You'd think with that many I'd be able to see into the future.

They can be used to provide an advantage. I hate to bring it up, and Im only bringing it up for an example, but things like Leavu use exports. To me, if someone wants to use it, fine by me. It does not provide any more information than what is already there, it just allows it to be visualized with things like data link on the F15. Again, to me, I don't care. If people want to use it, fine. If they don't fine. This server is not a tournament IMO and the restrictions that removing exports puts on people in DCS far outweighs the benefits that we gain from people not using things like Leavu. I really really want o be able to use Helios on 104th, but can't because sensor exports are disabled. If you look at most other servers, notably Open Conflict, they have all exports enabled. Just my 2 cents, but I miss being able to export cockpit instruments on this server.

TIR users have just a big of an issue covering and checking 6 as everyone else. Also the binocular thing is not a relevant argument as real pilots carrying binos to assist with target spotting and ID. You really can't set FOV in stone as it messes with a ton of peoples setups. I, on a 3 display setup would be in a world of hurt if I could not change the FOV. The game would just not work correctly. Asking everyone else to change simply because you struggle with something does not mean its a valid argument or option that needs to implements.

Does this pass IC? -
Is it possible to allow Sensor Export on the server so that people can use Helios? Many other server have it enabled. An example would be open conflict. Would be an awesome feature to have on this server as it is something that I have been missing lately.

I need some help and I don't know where else to post this. There seems to be an issue in all versions of DCS with the gain levels of aircraft in regards to the cockpit_afterburner.sdef sound and the plane_afterburner.sdef sound. Both sounds are astronomically louder in teh F15 and F5 than they are in ANY other plane. All other planes the sound is perfectly fine, but in those 2 aircraft, if you raise the sound to be even barely audible in the Su27 etc it becomes defining. This, as I understand it, has been plaguing the sound mod community for some time. It really impairs the experience that DCS can provide. Im not necessarily asking for this to be fixed, but help in finding what can be changed in order to fix it and lower the gain for the F15 and F5. Again, this is occurring, and has been occurring, for as long as I can remember on all versions of DCS and only for the F15 and F5.

The mixed payload of max 2ER round is to end matches the continue into the 7th round. Its a tiebreaker round of sorts. Winner takes all.
-
I will be livestreaming what I can when I am not flying in the tourney. The first match that I will stream will be the a 1500z match on Saturday. I will also be streaming on Sunday, but unsure on time as matches are TBD.
-
So does that mean you would not be able to fly on the 7th?

Splash One Gaming - Air to Air Showdown Dedicated Server IP: 73.83.58.107 Splash One Gaming Discord: https://discord.gg/eN3Rg7s Simple Radio: Coming Soon LotATC: Coming Soon For those looking for a lag free - strictly air to air experience - this should be the place to go. This server is currently a work in progress. Expect more missions and aircraft to come as we get further away from the launch date. Aircraft types will include everything from WW2 to Gen 4 current. Eventually there will be dueling zones that will provide people designated areas with air start aircraft to 1v1 or 2v2 opponents. All missions that include AWACS will have the AWACS be invulnerable. This is because there are no radar SAM sites to deter people from going after the AI. Do NOT spawn camp enemy airfields. Because there are no SAM sites on the map, it is up to the players to maintain a nice and friendly playing environment for everyone. Please try and stay 10-20km away from enemy spawn air fields.

I will be streaming matches that I am not flying in. I cant say that I will get all of the matches on air as some will be happening at the same time, but I will be streaming what I can.

The briefing should tell you if there are any rules. On most servers it is a safe assumption that you should land and takeoff on the left side of the runway. Just make sure its all clear before you do anything. A couple good servers to start on are the acrobatics server and Open Conflict. Acrobatics is just what it sounds like and Open Conflict is a combat server that caters to both new and vet pilots. This is Teamspeak. Its what most people will use for voice communication.
-
Hey bud. Sorry your post got missed. Don't worry about the ATC radio chat. Most multilayer servers just ignore that. You can feel free to adhere to it, but most won't. The best place to learn about a given server is to jump on their Teamspeak. Is there a server in question that you are wanting to play on?

<51P>Moltar - Red GCI (not airboss) Just to make sure. This is an actual GCI slot and not for ATC correct? If so, Ill take it. -
Would it be possible to remove the ability of GCI to see missiles? I understand GCI/AWACS being able to see things like SA300 launches etc as those are the size of telephone poles. However, its seems there is a definite issue with GCI being able to see missiles launched from aircraft. In most cases, GCI can see missile launches from bandits even when said bandit is unseen and unknown. The missiles just appear out of this air. If the GCI is in contact with the friendly that is being targeted it gives an unfair and frankly unrealistic advantage. On top of being able to see the missile itself, the GCI is also able to see the type, which again is hugely unrealistic. The ability of GCI to see aircraft missile launches is what is keeping GCI out of the competitive multilayer scene and, imo, out of multilayer servers like 104th. Having a human GCI instead of the AI AWACS is so so much more immersive and it really is sad that we don't get to use it more. To reiterate, would it be possible to remove the ability of GCI to see aircraft missile launches?

RWRs not receiving Su-27 spikes

Were you in the F15 or flying against them? If you were in the F15, what type of planes were you flying against? -
Just a heads up guys that this is now a seemingly new issue that people are experiencing after the latest patch. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=193196

RWRs not receiving Su-27 spikes
M0ltar replied to ZHeN's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Its definitely an issue with all planes, but to me it seems to be most common with the mirage. Was flying today in a Flanker vs a Mirage; same altitude. No nail or launch warning. I thought I got hit by a heater even though I was flaring, but it was a 530D. Really strange and frustrating. The issue seems to be corrected on a full server restart instead of just mission rotation, but no idea how long it takes for the issue to crop up again or what even causes it as it is seemingly random. -
Another heads up guys. The Able Archer mission seems to be running way way more than any other mission. We are, right now, playing on it for the 3rd time in a row. On top of the frequency Im noticing that it, in comparison to the other missions, seems to have more lag. Any way you guys can adjust the mission order?
-
Right now we only have NATO awacs as Russian awacs, to my knowledge, will not work with NATO units. It's something that both sides will have to deal with if they choose to fly Russian aircraft.

Because they dont for the time period? -
Just a heads up guys. The Su33 and MiGs on the Fire Shield mission have ER and ET. People tend to abuse it once they see that they can get those weapons there and not from the airfields. Can we just remove the carriers since we cannot restrict weapons on them? If you want to keep the ER and ET on those aircraft that is fine, but I would suggest you give the 27 the same weapons.

I'll look into lotatc. No guarantees though.

Good enough job? How do you define a good enough job? FC3 planes, again, don't give a shit about craters or anything on the runway or taxi way. They float right over them. Further more, dirt and sand is very different then massive pieces of runway and airfield all over your taxiway and runway. What happens when your front landing gear hits a 1ft piece of runway that was blown off from the bombs? The front gear collapses and you crash. Engine intake shields are not going to do crap for your gear. Furthermore, even if the taxiway was not hit, there would be shit all of it. massive pieces of debris etc. Yes, you could use it eventually, but it is going to take the airfield personnel longer than 5 min to clear it and clean it. Again, dirt and sand is very different than massive rocks, pieces of concrete and tarmac. I don't know where you're getting off with this. Our point is that when the airfield was bombed and the bombs hit the airfield the airfield should have closed for at least a period of time. I realize that this is not real life and that is, again, part of my point. We cant simulate real life conditions of what happens on airfield bomb strikes. So, we need to make do that if the runway was bombed it should close otherwise there is no point in even having these missions to bomb airfields to shut them down. Its not really fair to have these missions and then say well I can still take off in my fake plane because my fake plane doesn't even take into account the state of the runway being used. Hell, a lot of the time, if you crash on a runway other players can roll straight through your wreckage. By your accounts this is completely fair. My plane is not effected by phantom aircraft so I should be able to use it. Lastly, everyone wants this mission to be supoer realistic and for us to be as true to life as possible. We want ATC to be as real as we can. We want people using correct comms. We want people in separate flights. We want all this stuff, but you say that, again, just because your plane isnt effected by modeling in DCS or you cant see debris on the runway and taxiway then its fair game and is realistic. Come on. We all know that airfield should have been shut down. That was the whole point of the strike and Micro and Dackster hit the runway. In any real life situation that airfield would have ceased operation for a time that I guarantee would be longer than 5 minutes because what happens if you have to abort a take off? What happens if you have an emergency landing? Thats right, you're either hitting debris or your ass is in a crater and dead. Your 'little pellets' were 120kg. Normal runway munitions are 25-30kg. Those 120kg bombs, and there were 16, would put sizable holes in your runway. Even if those holes were not huge, they would still kick up large pieces of debris and make your runway unusable. And yes, debris would have no problem flying 100ft or further to land on your precious taxi way... Lastly, Shadow, your plane did not feel pumps because it is a FC3 aircraft. In that mission you were flying an F15 and those planes do not care about craters on the runway. They float right over them. You will not feel anything because the FC3 aircraft do not care about it. If you were in an M2000 or anything that was full fidelity or even a mig29, su25, or a10a and you hit a crater, even a very very small one, your gear would be ripped off and you would crash. Simple as that. You could drop a nuke on the runway and your F15 would take off like its just another day in paradise.

The 29 has closing doors to stop debris because Russian airfields have grass etc all over. They are not nearly as clean as NATO bases. Those doors are not made to stop bomb craters and prevent the aircraft from falling in. The point is that if the runway is bombed no plane would be taking off. Just because it's not modelled doesn't make it ok. All flaming cliffs aircraft will not fall into runway craters, but all full fidelity aircraft will. Further more, just because you can does not mean you should. Bombing the airfield was meant in this event, if I understand it, to shut it down like it would in real life. If the runway is out of commission I. Real life that airfield is essentially useless until it is repaired. This is why in the Falklands War they bombed the Argentinian runway; to stop aircraft from being able to la d and take off. Again, just because the sim doesn't model it doesn't mean we should abuse it. I would really like more movement to real life behavior instead of just doing things because you can.
