  1. If yes, when? And, preorder discount?
  2. That's pretty huge then. This in combination with TWS auto, will significantly increase the range of the 54 for longer shots as it can be pretty easy to lose tws track at those distances. ...also will make friendly fire incidents less common
  3. yeah, but wont the wind blow the cluster munitions off target? or is there a way to make the BK90 dive onto the target and release them.
  4. Question then becomes: If a third-party, not ED, was doing the 16 would it have gotten early access approval in its current state?
  5. Yeah, you are correct. My bad On another note. Didn't ED initially deny the MiG-19 release and send it back to be worked on more? Did Razbam send it for early access approval, or full release approval?
  6. At the very least, even with it being in early access, it should have a damage model at launch if you are going to allow it in MP (there are others who did not opt-in to early access that are affected). If not, then make it single player only, at least until the damage model is complete. All the other missing items are fine for an early access MP capable release. Heck, you could even straight up make it unarmed with no systems. As long as it has a somewhat realistic flight model, damage model, and exterior model, that's fine for MP.
  7. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4062564&postcount=1 The post says that the 54 will no longer go active immediately if tws track is lost (which is awsome!). However, does this mean that the 54 will no longer dive straight down upon losing tws track? Will it still continue it's trajectory to an estimated intercept point based on target's last known alt, speed, etc. then go active 16s from there?
  8. No new video? :(
  9. That's all I was wanting was their wishlist, nothing more than a list of what they want to do if everything were to go their way. I know, and am expecting, that they will be working on their current modules for a couple years before releasing anything new.
  10. yeah, i know that lol, but still, they must have some sort of idea on what would be next. Just asking what they are thinking. Pretty sure everyone knows that they will be solely focusing on the 14 and 37 for a pretty good while.
  11. Has anyone else still been experiencing problems with the radar in the M2k? even after the update?
  12. If so, could you share it with us? They would just be potential modules that you all are showing interest in doing and not set in stone in any way.
  13. i'd say just make it single player only until it at least has a damage model...
  14. I think it was more of them trying to beat the JF-17 out of the gate than not wanting to hear the forums complain. It was interesting to see ED's reaction, or perceived reaction, to the 17's academic videos. Soon after Deka started to release their videos, ED took all coders off the 18 and put them on the 16. To me at least, it looked like an "Oh crap, all hands on deck! Let's hurry and get this released" moment. I really don't think that people would care if a little more work was put into it before it was released. However, they might've just bought the 17 if the 16 was released after it, since the two planes perform similar roles. But then again, maybe not or maybe they would have bought both. The 16 is an iconic jet after all.
  15. From the videos i have seen of it already and what people are saying since its release, I will steer clear of the F-16 for a while. Probably will not pick it up until it's at least where the hornet is now. I'll wait for the JF-17 as it will be a pretty much completed module. It should also only be around 2 months away.
  16. from tests I've seen and done against it, I'm starting to think it's impossible to actually kill the 16 unless the pilot dies from splash damage.
  17. I believe the 16 is invincible unless you kill the pilot.
  18. yeah...people on the server I play on are not wanting the 16 to be added for a while until fixed
  19. yeah, the 16 does not have a visual damage model at the moment...which is a shame for MP engagements against it in my 14. This was after hitting it with 3 AIM-54's: Make sure you have the correct F-16 in your own tests. It's the F-16CM bl.50
  20. You sure you are fighting the same F-16CM bl.50 that was released? There are several variants of 16 in the mission editor Here's some interesting screenshots i took about the "damage model" This one just got hit by 3 R-77's This one got hit by 50 30mm rounds
  21. hahaha. Why would you rush this to early access while there were still issues like this? Also, wasn't the MiG-19 early access initially denied due to quality issues?
  22. Ok, challenge time! So, here's the challenge. Other than the aspect of the planes, what is the difference between this F-16... ....and this F-16? Answer: The first one just got hit by three R-77 missiles Bonus Screenshot: This one was just hit by 50 30mm rounds
  23. I see...so you would be fine with something like this: straight up being added to the full game under the guise of "early access", while at the same time being able to interact with those who did not opt-in to said "early access"? Maybe you would be fine if, due to ED overlooking issues, the F-16 was able to teleport to 100,000 ft and fly at mach 100? Let's also say that it could take 100 missiles to the face in multiplayer with no damage, because, "Hey, the damage model is still a work in progress...eh just release it anyway. Everyone, even those who didn't buy the module, will just have to adapt until we get around to fixing it." Saying that quality control should not exist in a DCS early access release is crazy. Also, if the 18 was single player only, this would not be as much of an issue, since players who purchased the module would not have the ability to affect those who didn't.
  24. yes, but it's insane that something like this was allowed to make it past quality control.
  25. The F-18 has a fundamental flaw in its model as it is unable to break its wings. Players are able to do this by pressing the circuit breakers shown here: Once they do, they can pull any amount of high G turns and the 18's wings will not break. See the image below. I safely pulled more than 20 G's: Tracks are attached where you will see me pulling 24 G's. However, I have actually seen people pull upwards of 30 before. Needless to say, this should not happen and is a glaring flaw that needs to be fixed. In my opinion, it actually cheapens an otherwise fine module. Until this is fixed, a quick temporary step that ED can take is to just disable those buttons as clickable. F-18 unbreakable.trk F-18 unbreakable2.trk
