The PG is a needle in a haystack but in Syria the same is present. Its a lot more subtle and there are fewer areas affected but its present. So perhaps a Core issue? Attached is a miz file and a track file along with an image of where to look within the trk file. Please take some time to look carefully as its not immediately apparent but is present in the last few seconds after the camera is zoomed out. Certainly less of an issue in the sandy maps. It appears that the shadows will definately manifest if viewed from an flat angle in comparisioan to the plain and if there is scenery behind it (possibly not water or sky). Thanks Syr Shadows.trk Syria shadows test.miz

I have a large family! Seriously, I saw a note saying limitied to 1 per customer But i dont know if thats per round. I really hope it isnt and, like you say, its one per account until the supply problem is gone (if ever). I think Im in the same moral place as you. As someone whos slagged off scalpers in the past Id be somethng of a not right to go do the same. Gonna revert to plan A to pay off the credit cand and sent my child out to work...

The xmas/new year lights are something of a tradition now. Please though can consideration be given not having them reload every page or having some optional "mute" button? The almost constant sound of breaking glass cause by mice flicking over the bulbs is quite jarring. Anyhow - heres Nick Lowe and the best example I know of a Bass player saving a terrible song... Thanks A Bah Humbug and Merry Christmas to all.

My favorite RAF type of the 70s on looks alone. It would have to be a 3rd party gamble I think. Cant see ED ever doing it.

The 3080 had a clickable price button. After negotiating the now obigitary "that is a bus and i am not a robot" thing, I think I was on the page within a minute of the telegram notification and went straight to the item. I had already set up an updated account with the card i was intending to use prior (fortunately i was able to use it to buy something i needed as it seems the only way to add a card), ensuring the same info was definately stored on the phone. @nikita_nomad good luck with the searching. Patience will pay off and you'll sit heppy in the knowledge that you were scalped. EDIT Werent scalped!!

2.7 optimization for helicopters needed!
Boosterdog replied to gdotts's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Visbility is noticable even low, especially on flatter terrain HOWEVER you tend to be alot more focussed on the immediate surroundings and the impact is certainly nowhere near what a jet player may experience. In the recent patches some of those higher settings got changed making them a little more taxing too. Selecting High seems a nice sweet spot although medium isnt awful. Given the role of the Apache, lowering your water quality may be an ooption too. Even Low doesnt look too bad for rivers and steeams since 2.7.7 although if you indended to use boats, medium is probably the minimum acceptable. I think you can claw some fps out of the clouds but it isnt much (maybe 5 fps from low to ultra) and culling the heat blur to low (again 1 or 2 fps max) . The biggest impact is going to be flat over default terrain shadows but thats a preference choice especially at low level. Some prefer the flat, some dont. I think both are pretty awful so I tend to fly in full overcast whereever I can. Taz1004's tree mod is a nice addition too. The dark versions look great in overcast You can also gain FPS or increase the graphical quality of the shadows around you without a big hit if you choose to alter the shadows.lua file. This is a very specific thing to keeping down in the weeds though but you can OvGME it. -
DCS Mi-8 is 7 years now, time for an update ?
Boosterdog replied to Hueyman's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
I happily pay for an update like the A10 but I fear the Hip, although deservng, is not as popular a model as the Hog or Shark for ED to consider doing such. I remember thinking when the P51 got an update that ED had an agenda to push WW2 but, with the Hip, they got the Apache and Hind as poster girls. In a way though, I also like it being left alone. Change is not always for the best. -
Anyone? Is i my rig? Is it a bug, is just another example of the poor shadow redening the game? I cant recall seeing this in 2.5 but it could quite simply be that those gadawful low rez "things" get drawn where the angle of view is within a perameter and the game "thinks" there is solid ground, even if the gound is acually a hill in the distance. I wish they could be done away with as they serve little purpose other than to diminish the image.

Either way I thinks one is gonna be better off with the "Takka takka" radio message approach if one want to keep one's friends! - I have never missed using the "takka takka" BTW - never

No hes not - hes asking what the "Target Practice" loadout is. The video demonstates 7.62 B Patrone rounds. Given the effects described I image its something similar (real or otherwise) modelled for the 13 and 20mm. EDIT - ie a high percentage of HE or HE -incendiary rounds and lower/no amounts of AP.

Some people saw a performance drop off after the 2.7.7. OB but it got pushed to Stable as many, apparently, didnt. This drop may possibly be getting fixed in an upcoming patch but nothing is certain. As Speed -of-heat says - not much, if anything in it at present.
-
Sounds something like Beobachtung Patrone - explosive observation rounds. Used for range finding and zero-ing MGs. Incendary detonating on impact to better observe you are hitting what you think you are aiming at. As far from a paintball as you could possibly get. About 9.30 onwards, 15.00 for effect of a similar Russian roound on steel. - although this more like "Mythbusters" with guns and deals with shooting people with these things - be warned.

Thank you @fagulha

Will require at least one model of a You Tuber making a self promoting video at distaster scenes. Legitimate target for a Zuni.

2.7 optimization for helicopters needed!
Boosterdog replied to gdotts's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
all they will do is give you an island of trees and increase your load times respectively. -
Overcast with Taz1004's dark trees mod is pretty much all I fly Caucauses with now. Im bored to tears of using sandy maps as a get around. So old weather, filthy days and a good mod for down low. Part of the reason Im looking forward to the South Atlantic map!

After 7 years I still dont get the control profiles
Boosterdog replied to Boosterdog's topic in New User Briefing Room
I may not understand it but Im clearly doing something right as I get all me old bindings back after a PC upgrade and reinstall :-) . Over the years of playing DCS Ive come to use the clickable cockpits more than bindings so, worst case, there isnt a lot to do. Which is why I dearly want a Full Fidelity SU25 or SU17M. -
Just a different kind of bad to me Im afraid.

The world shadows in DCS are adequte for medium to high altitude but are quite poor at low level even on the highest setting. The cascading is immersion breaking and there are many graphical problems over undulating terrain or off steep sided valleys that are very obvious abd nasty to look at on low level gameplay. Now we have better clouds and better water are there any plans to improve this aspect of the game or a we mud pushers doomed to fly forever in 10/10 overcast?

After 7 years I still dont get the control profiles
Boosterdog replied to Boosterdog's topic in New User Briefing Room
Oh dear - im confused again. I thought you save the diff file after a change and the magic happens automatically to the profiles stored in the config/input location. What I mean is, if I make a binding on the stick, I save the diff and, should that column ever be wiped Ican repopulate it back to the last profile I stored to the diff by reloading the relevent controller to the relevent column. If that makes sense?
