  1. There you go then 2024!! Somehow Id gotten the impression that there was another, yet unseen, module in the works. Merry Christmas
  2. Dont think that was any surprise to many. Havent HB already said it will be reeased after anther module? Can you please clarify the bit that starts with "bold" and end with "A-10" please?
  3. @Flappie Sorry but whilst you are checking this you may want to note that its become much worse in the new (23/12) OB patch. The flat shadows remain visible for much longer as the camera view approaches them than in previous builds. The effect is such that you are now almost on top of them (or below them in a valley) before they disappear and the more advanced renders take form. The second trk file I submitted used a little zoom to demonstrate where the flats poppped in and out in the previous builds. Run the same track in the new OB and they remain at all times. MiZ attached previously can be used to better look around where you will note flat shadows being rendered off the cliffs immedately above the tank. In the Caucaus Miz attatched to the first post you wll see the flat shadows on the left hand bank immediately before the dam remain present until the aircraft is almost directly over them if you place the camera behind the aircraft. Thanks
  4. ....and a dev who activiely engages with customers
  5. For value for money I still beleive the Scan purchase of a founders edition 3080 was the right choice for me given CEX are selling the 1080ti for £600. There would be a £280 differential to pay CEX for a 1080-1080ti voucher trade. I believe that I could reliably sell my 1080, had I wished, on e-bay for £300 at least leaving a £350 differential. So £70 difference between a warrentled 1080ti or a new 3080FE with DLSS support and ray tracing for the times I want to play a AAA title. I thank you for the thread -its certainly an eye opener and a very valid option to consider. Sorry for helping to take it OT but I hope, taken as a whole it provides some good pointers for those who, like me, were stuck in an upgrade hole. Have a great Christmas too!
  6. Still present in latest OB.
  7. Main UC not contacting runway surface
  8. Back to 2.7.6 levels. All good ( in that respect).
  9. You have to save any alterations you make for the bindings you set to stick. If you alter the key bindings do you save click on "save profile"?
  10. Silly question - are you savng the changes as a new diff.lua for that specific aircraft and not overwriting your exisitng mustang settings?
  11. Yes - Not sure one if there is a default one but Devrim's cockpits certainly work in 2.7. None of the pits are as high res as the later modules but they look ok. Devrim's black cockpit is the one I use. Pick the pits by going to the "special" tab in the set up menu and selecting the Mil8.
  12. I doubt they told you anything they wouldnt tell anyone else so.................
  13. Hello and sorry - sure its been asked a 100 times. What is the file name structure for the variants of the F14 we have in the saved games folder please. Also do a skins work with B and vise versa. Out of the F14 loop a long time. Thanks
  14. 3rd option - fiddling with settings trying to get performance back. Thats largely what I spent most of my DCS time doing in 2021.
  15. ....the self application of which is another good reason for avoiding feeds from man caves......
  16. Knowing a few simmers and their habits I couldnt think of anything worse than having to monitor feeds of them alone their little man caves....... The biggest risk on flight sim MP tournaments is butt hurt and Im pretty sure there is no cure for that.
  17. The annimation of the distrubed water at the stern of a sinking boat remains fixed to the boat as it sinks below the surface and is now noticable and odd looking in the transparent sea. DxDiag.txt Surface dist error.trk dcs.log
  18. Trk file attached showing LOD issue. Does not affect all ships. IS CONDIERABLY WORSE THAN SHOWN IN THE OPs IMAGES. OHP LOD.trk dcs.log DxDiag.txt
  19. Reluctant to report this as a true bug because its an extreme case perhaps. However a mission maker wisher to mock up an assault force will be limited by it. Issue. If more than 4 vehicles (AI or static or mixed) are placed on a civilian ship and the ship travels more than approximately 1000ft in any direction in the game, the vehicles dissappear from the deck at close range unless the camera is facing directly at the bow of the boat. This can be a mix of stitic and AI/player controlled vehicles (amphibous). It is not affected by choice of ship, choice of unit or coalition. Several boats in the convoy can each have up to 4 units without issue and only those boats with more than 4 units will suffer the glitch. 20. No worries Heres another Syria Miz and track. This better demonstrates where the flat shadows pop out. They are much more obvious in this than the previous. Again anthoer screenshot to show you where to look. This is clearly not a new bug. Its present in my 2.7.6 version also. Pre 2.7.7 when fewer files were encoded, the Flat shadow removal mod may have come in useful although Im not sure if that removed everything else externally to.If its a limit of the engine then its a limit however the fact that these things do disappear as the camera appraoches them would give me hope that they can be manipulated to reduce or stop the issue. syr 2 shadows.miz Syr2 Shadows.trk
