  1. What title says... 2 friends have same problem, so it is not isolated on my end. I am using latest hotfix update (15/3).
  2. What? Not patronizing the posters, for one. Do you really think those of us who "always complain" are basing their arguments on faith or something? Look, Frederf pointed out the problem in your argument. The instruments we have in cockpits are not the only reference because, as Frederf pointed out, have an error factor simulated or cannot even show information due its design. But you should have known that as you are the only one who uses real manuals. Problem of instrument envelope from the manual: As is seen on the picture... Mig21 is producing lift past what AoA in cockpit can display.
  3. LOL... nice trolling post. You cant be serious with such attitude.
  4. A great start would been to have synced weather between multiplayer clients. As of now, DCS is probably the only fsim which does not do that...
  5. +1 And what most people are ignoring is credibility of their next module which sole purpose is to fly on its extremes where there is no empirical documentation available should be somehow a peak in GA sim than mig21 which has it, yet they are unable to code it.
  6. Boogieman, hehe, I think you read too much into the "great" ;) I find it very interesting read, not in a sense of how good/bad something is, but purely from development aspect of flying qualities ... most of the problems described there will/are corrected by software updates... ie F18 FBW has similar history ...
  7. A bit outdated info, but still great read: http://aviationweek.com/site-files/aviationweek.com/files/uploads/2015/06/F-35%20High%20AoA%20Maneuvers.pdf
  8. I think some of the confusion in the topic is also related to not knowing that not all a/c have the same control laws. For example you cannot directly compare landing experience of pitch rate command vs AoA command pilot stick which is activated with flaps and gears down in F18. As a side line... first a/c I learned to fly were gliders. And I learned there exactly the same procedure ... Stick for "AoA" and airbrake as "power" - glideslope.
  9. Indeed, and it does not in DCS. As for usual GS value... I only know that french use 3.7 for carrier landings. Not as solid info about mainland. Could be from 2.5-3.
  10. It would been nice also to get the HUD fix for glideslope indication ...
  11. Manual says there are 3 options of refueling the plane.. full (forward, center, back & wings), basic (center & wings), partial (center). So the graphs for example state.. 50% remaining of normal fueling, which could been interpreted as 50% of basic option. tank forward - 3180 kg tank center - 4160 kg tank wings - 1060 kg tank back - 1000 kg
  12. Top of my head.. 747 uses a variant from such family. Boeing calls them Variable Camber Krueger. I know also that Airbus has few patents on slotted versions.
  13. ? Nowhere in my image does it state that. I think you are focused too much on the comparing graphs directly to eachother. The graphs show the movement of the curve depending on the type. And slat or slotted Krueger increase AoA and CL (hint: check vectors) over the LE flap and unslotted Krueger.
  14. mist.groupToRandomZone and others in this group of functions do not have parameter to set if AI should use roads or not. Wiki page does not reflect what is in code! Code should be fixed asap ...

    Mig-19 hype?

I will buy it just because it will be the only module RB will be able to finish, thus it will hold some relic value besides flying ;)
  16. this is more like on HB... cockpit was useless at night even before the 2.5.
  17. Also from the outside ... if you zoom out the canopy flips into ugly blue tinted when the LOD switches...
  18. Maybe it's my english as I am not native speaker, but I see no difference in what video showed, what IvanK wrote and what did Neofighter. In all examples throttle is the primary control of the glideslope in final.
  19. the basic idea of stick and throttle corrections is in this video @9:30:
  20. These are Serbian DIY from '99 war. Boosters never have movable fins, they are only used to get the missile off the launcher... anyways, dont be so confident that nobody else knows what they are doing. After the war there was a project to convert R13M for short range SAM. However due budget problems, it never went operational.
  21. @Blackadam, the point of post was that if target is in parameters of the your weapon, it does not matter if you are throwing rock or using DIY A2A missile SAM. We have no data on the flight parameters of this incident. What was speed? Altitude? Range? All is specualation including what actually happened. But that does not mean it is impossible to use R27T family. I have attached one photo of improvised R60 and R73 DIY SAMs.
  22. Why not? If the target is in missile's envelope, there's no problem. How can a Stinger attack a fighter jet? It's the same.
  23. The rudder trim is only available on the left side console, yes. It works in DCS, only missing is the indicator for neutral position. The 3d model of light is there, but it is not functional. Manual says that, as is in DCS, rudder pedals stay as they are (no tactile feedback of setting) while the control surface moves. I am glad if I was able to help. :)
  24. There is rudder trim. You can see it in schamatics; as well it is explained in section 3 in manual. The RENFLYGN, by reading the manual, functions as gain potentiometer for the accelerometer which detects yaw in ATT and HOJD autopilot modes so you can fine tune it if there is drift present. At least that is how I understand the text.
