If you have rb05 selected, you cannot update the target point. Switching to other weapon, it works. Is this intended?

If you air start, cartridge is not inserted.

@Nerd1000 Yes, the clutter should be made out of - & I, however there is also blooming effect (crt brightness side effect) when you have a lot of ground return. This is what we see with those "fuzz" as you mentioned. True, it would been nice to have it done properly. (ground clutter of RP21: http://www.mig-21-online.de/Funkmessvisier/fmv_UEH.htm )

The ground clutter is now displayed when inverted, or there is hill in front, etc. Before we had it only as sidelobe noise.

Sorry that I was not so clear in my writing. What I wanted to point out and explain is how one can come to the given scope picture that VampireNZ posted where pulse search radar picture is displayed on DDD.

This is not doppler picture.. it's displaying pulsed mode... to pick lower targets you usually used technique where you put radar beam a little further than the range you were expecting target... this way you got above picture as ground return was further than target. To understand it better how you could pick lower target in this mode, I have attached picture.

I have noticed odd digital snap in FM when mig stalls. For example... you are turning +5G, as AoA goes beyond critical, the plane snaps and locks to 2G as it stalls. Like there would been switch between normal and post stall FM.

How are you managing afterburner? You have range advantage for easy HO shots.

This topic, which had its promise went down quite rapidly, unfortunately... :) I understand when you add passion and egos that it can turn like this... however, I get neofightr point of trying to show (while not in retorically best way) that picture is much bigger than what most of us, who are/were not in the loop, will never comprehend fully. It's a fact that, even if you have GBs of scanned manuals and phd, it will never tell you how it is to fly the given jet if you did not do it for real. Anyways... I think F35 will be a very capable jet in the end, simply because its design milestone is beyond point of no return and thus there will be unlimited money pured into it untill it performs. I also share view, that autonomous drones are the future. It is already amazing what anyone can build and program with off the shelf products in his free time hacking with some opensource drone. Drone swarm tests, etc. we have seen videos of military testings, are clear indication where is the focus in next decades. p.s. one's privacy should be respected. There are crazy people out there. If someone doesn't believe who one is, it's his own problem.

As you can see, search mode includes AI threats on the display. Regarding audio, I posted in another bug thread... pilot hears cont. PRF of the diamond (selected) threat.

Make sure that the curves are default. If you change curvature or saturation it will broke the trim feel. It's a bug.... Unfortunatelly BST does not find it worth to correct FFB bugs in their modules.

You are right that I was talking about F4E and D. I have rechecked for F4J and it could indeed detect at ranges you mentioned IF mig21 was closing hot with good Vc. But the picture changed quite fast if mig changed AA.

You must be mixing Combat Tree ... If you check the mig21 trials, the radar ranges are as shown in attachement:

Check the manual's WEAPONS EMPLOYMENT chapter ... it will give you clearer picture. As for the range... best is to learn the reticle size of target by using icons at first ...
