  1. I can reproduce this way too. Started my mission that was set in June and switched to October and it was there. Been trying to come up with what Watermanpc, Justificus, and I might have in common. You would think something isolated would indicate a certain piece of hardware or bad install maybe ( we both have 6700K } but Justificus throws a wrench in this theory by having different processor and he tried a reinstall. I've had a hunch that switching Deferred shading off then back on might lead to this so that would be only other thing I could think to try and then see if this appears.
  2. Able To Reproduce I've come up with a simple way to reproduce this every time. Start Game and start with Instant Action FC3 A-10A CAS mission in Nevada. Quit out of it and open the mission below (or any in Normandy I'll bet) in Mission Editor and you'll see the map covered with same pattern. If anyone has some time try this to see if it happens too. Just tested with other Normandy missions. Happens always. Tried deleting metashaders folder and still can reproduce.
  3. OK. A few things to point out. The WWII Assets are not all functioning in Comb. Arms yet but from what I've heard AAA and some tanks are operable. With the 2.1 version there aren't many missions that come with it. So far only Instant Action missions are available. You can download missions and place them in your Windows C. / Users /Your Name / Saved Games / DCS openalpha / Missions folder. Then in game go to Mission / My Missions and you should see downloaded missions. If you want to just make a mission in ME first thing to do is click on File then New Mission and the Coalition screen comes up. Here you can switch to WWII, Modern, or Custom to select whose on Red and Blue sides. You can also choose between Normandy and NTTR as default map and Save. Now you just have to place some units on the map and create routes to set up a battle. You have a 1.5 version but I'm not sure which because it seems like you changed the name of the folder to add 1point5. As some1 pointed out WWII assets have been added to the 1.5 openbeta and next Wednesday they should be added to the 1.5 Release version so you will be able to use them on the Georgia map as well once you update to 1.57 version. Hopefully this clears some things up. Any more issues just post up here so we can get you up and running with WWII Assets. Try this. It's a randomly generated mission that will put you into a tank battle quickly. It's for the 2.1 version in Normandy. If everything is installed correctly you should see WWII units.
  4. I don't think the spread changes much if at all for altitude or speed. I would guess the size to be about 50x100 ft.
  5. I'm afraid to ask how you came up with a folder named DCS World 1point5 but that doesn't matter.. Normandy and Assets as well as NTTR terrain can only run on the 2.1 version. If you don't already have it you need the DCS 2.0 Early Access version and then update to 2.1. Then Normandy and Assets installed there.
  6. I didn't mean to imply you have to dive. Just pointing out that speed, attitude or altitude need to be adjusted until pipper is "in solution" Just tested and saw detonation with release at 1600 feet.
  7. It's on the changelog thread. Posted last week 6/30.
  8. There's also a British one called the Bedford.
  9. One thing I didn't realize until seeing a post about it is that the pipper, which is normally down low and barely visible in bombing mode, will move upward and become visible when you get into a steep dive much like the A-10 CCIP pipper. You want to release when the pipper intersects 2nd or 3rd horizontal line from bottom on the vertical line in background..
  10. An added benefit would be ED could claim to have modelled 70% of the earths surface.:D
  11. You need to first make a new loadout and add the bombs and you also need to set up an advanced waypoint action to carpet-bomb.
  12. Go to DCS homepage and log in and go to Profile. Enter your key in the box and bond to your account. Then try again to activate.
  13. How much RAM do you have? Maybe that would be your best bet for an upgrade.
  14. There aren't any intercept missions in game so the easiest way is going to be download a mission file. These files (Miz Files) get placed in your Windows C. / Users / Your Name / Saved Games / DCS openalpha / Missions folder. Then in game go to Missions and click on the My Missions icon to list missions you've downloaded. Here is a link where some of us have posted some missions for download. There's a few intercept missions to choose from. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=187885
  15. It's probably just not functional yet. It may take a little while for new asset pack units to be working properly in CA.
  16. Starting with the M2000 (which was the first affected) modules bought on Steam cannot be used with standalone. Older modules can still be bought on steam and used with standalone.
  17. On page 5 of DCS World Weekend News thread the 08/19/2016 post shows some of the changes with trees and terrain. There was a picture or two comparing buildings somewhere but can't find it.
  18. At bottom of this page is advice on integrity fault of activation key. The registry fix should clear it. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/564/
  19. No, but I'm sure they're responsible for the invisible trains.
  20. 1.5 and 2.0 are separate installs. Since you have Normandy you simply need to download the 2.0 early access version then install Normandy there.
  21. I see that a light armor unit known as the Puma and German half-trak are in development but can't find any Allied equivalents. Didn't the allied forces have any type of light armor or armored cars? OK. A quick google search I come up with M3 and M8 as what I had in mind. Are these being developed for Assets Pack?
  22. Yes. Log in on DCS Homepage and go to your profile. There's a box for checking serial numbers. Enter your number and bind to account. Once you start DCS World go to module manager to install.
  23. It's the Volvo of flightsticks. Not very flashy but dependable. I'm sure gimbal sticks are more precise and don't have that little bit of extra resistance CH does when pitch and rolling at same time but for the money it feels pretty good. I've had to tighten some connections after a few years use but +1 on no complaints.
  24. The Assets Pack allows you to use these things (armor, bombers. ships, etc..) to populate a mission or fly in any mission that contains them. It doesn't allow you to operate and fight with them though. For that you need Combined Arms Module.
  25. It was used to show pilots who start out training on a basic version all the upgrades that came with A-10C.
