  1. Open your mission in ME and... 1.click on weather conditions icon to open 2. raise or lower cloud Base to change their altitude 3. under file you can Save As to rename and save your mission changes. To load you can use ME or Mission mode. It will be in the My Missions section. Forgot you asked about full cloud cover. Change Density to 9.
  2. Oh...OK. I had never seen a red triangle and assumed it was a Game Mode aid.
  3. I think the red triangle is a Game Mode thing. 2. is the only way to do it in Sim Mode.
  4. Some guys that make skins have already corrected old ones. Check User File section. They usually mark them 2.1 compatible.
  5. The new deferred shading lighting requires an additional layer or fix to reflective surfaces. All skins that came out before Normandy will have the certain areas that don't look right.
  6. You just need to add a Liveries folder to DCSopenalpha folder if you're storing them in Saved Games (not Bazaar/Liveries).
  7. Are your DCS versions up to date? They need to be at least as current as when modules came out.
  8. We obviously get the benefit of reduced price and I think the developer gets the benefit of a month of hype and ability to gauge consumer interest. Aside from showing some product development along the way the devs don't do much advertising until pre-release.
  9. You can also drop 2 JDAM"S in one pass.
  10. I'm definitely seeing an improvement in stuttering issues I had with a Omaha Beach Mission I was building. It had the every second or so stutter and was absolutely unplayable but now runs stutter-free. The air defense radar issue mentioned in changelog may have been the cause in this case. Guess I can forge ahead and finish mission now.
  11. I guess I just like the challenge of dumb bombs. Mav's, CBU-97's, and Mk82's are my default. I do like Mk-82's for anything softer than a tank that can shoot back. I'll take a few out with bombs before going in low for gun-runs.
  12. I heard something once about running out of registration keys but I thought it was a joke.
  13. There's been a few threads on this already. I'd argue that what we see now is more like IRL. Instead of only a few skeets detonating and hitting target 100% of the time, lots of additional skeets detonate and miss.
  14. It works fine. 1. select A/G 2. choose bombs 3. move circular symbol to target area 4. Lock target. 5. Select CCRP 6. keep plane in line as target square drops down fall line. 7. Boom! The weird thing is selecting CCRP after selecting target. Where you turning that on first?
  15. When adding them to a mission I was a little surprised that the German artillery only has a range of a mile or so but I guess that was par for the course back then.
  16. This is in development. M-12
  17. I thought I read somewhere that Steam would be using Starforce too on future modules.
  18. Do you know that, starting with the steam release of M-2000, steam purchases are no longer compatible with stand alone version?
  19. Wow! Looks outstanding. Can't wait to recon all my favorite spots. It appears landscaping isn't a high priority at some airbases.
  20. I think this thread should be renamed "Gaggle of Geese?" as well.;)
  21. I was testing again and did notice this with PTAB 1M. Dispensers and MER's had no issue. It is weird can you can press and hold 20 times in a row and see that its working but occasionally it doesn't, and it usually seems to be in shallow dive . Seems to happen when targeting more than a few miles away but not when targeting many miles away or real close if that's a factor. I didn't have the bombs dropping in CCIP though. Just nothing happening with CCRP.
  22. I just tested and it seemed to work fine. In your video I noticed the red light on left below green laser indicator going on which is a low altitude indicator for weapon. That may be preventing you from using CCRP and going to default CCIP mode. Having problems at higher altitude? For someone new to forum your post was both coherent and well thought out with documentation video to help explain and even placed in the correct sub-forum. Good work and welcome to forum.
  23. Rudder trimmer is basically a cheat to make things easier for you. When checked your rudder position will be locked just like your cyclic gets locked to a new "hands off position" when trim is set. When trimming don't expect it to work perfectly and give you a perfect stable level flight with one press. I often do my initial trimming then readjust and re-trim 2 or 3 times after to fine-tune and stabilize flight.
  24. A lot of good info here on AP and trimming. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=33527 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=39015
