  1. Hi some small things I picked up, I couldn't see them mentioned in a cursory search here. 1. The engine start panel switches don't make any sounds. 2. The Autopilot bell sounds even with the jet powered down and everything switched off. 3. When you command an altitude hold on AP, if you disable the autopilot before altitude is reached, the jet stays in that up or down trimmed state.
  2. I think I fixed mine by renaming Saved Games folder, I put my input folder back in as well as the logbook.lua file found in MissionEditor.
  3. Same problem for me. logbook.lua
  4. Hi, I made good progress on the campaign but for the Food poisoning mission, the base were you are supposed to land at is in the forest and there's no place to land. I attach some screenshots.
  5. Yeah, what he said, I managed to kill all the bombers and migs (with the help of wingmen). The F5 is not an especially great turn fighter, keep the speed up, dump your tanks.
  6. They collide on the way there, long before I get there.
  7. I couldn't figure out why I'm unable to get mission success so I watched the other flights from external view. The Cobras fly too close to the UH-1 and one of them collides with it. I think this stops the mission from being able to progress correctly.
  8. Thank you! That helped.
  9. Something I've noticed playing mission 2 and 3 and 4 a few times, is that one needs to fly over the waypoints rather precisely. For instance, in the CAS AG mission I didn't fly over the waypoint 3 the first two times and the third time I did and I got a weapons hot message. After the message I bombed the target and fired all my rockets and killed a few things and then I waited and waited and nothing happened. The first time I flew the mission I bombed the target I got a message about "That's a hit", 3rd play bombed the target and no message. I feel I'm missing some info here. The other missions where similar but I managed, it looks like to hit enough triggers to finish it. So some questions. Are we supposed to navigate by looking at landmarks or by using a stopwatch or something? I can't find ADF or Tacan close by to use to nav so it must be landmarks or the kneeboard cheat. Are we supposed to fly over EACH waypoint in order, in order to finish a mission? Are there specific things I must do in a mission that is not in the briefing? For mission 3 I get the feeling I had to hit the units closest to the bridge maybe? But this wasn't mentioned anywhere. The briefing has a cryptic mission card in it and I can't find any explanation for what any of it means. I see things like GN (90) 354 / 32. I have no idea what this means and there's no explanation anywhere and I don't think the F5 supports whatever that is. There's also lat longs for various things but also not of use in the F5. Please help.
  10. Yes, but the mission context makes it unclear.
  11. I heard this on the radio. What does it mean? Couldn't figure out if it meant "Evade the SAM" or "Destroy the SAM"
  12. Thanks uboats. I tried the mission again. I think there's something missing in the briefing or otherwise in the comms text. There's a point where you are told to check the coordinates of the target and you are told to use the COO and TP mode of the 802AK. The target is pre-programmed but there's no TP (waypoint 30) and you are told to set it all up before entering the valley. I think the turning point information should be programmed while still on the ground or maybe en-route to the valley, when one is still above the clouds.
  13. Thank you so much! Mission 09 is the same.
  14. I used Google Translate to get English for the briefing, I managed to complete it fine but all the in-mission radio comms were in Chinese too.
  15. Using the latest Open Beta. Campaign Mission "Clap of Thunder" has the briefing in Chinese, Mission 8 looks like English again and I didn't check 9.
  16. If you apply some basic BFM tactics you can easily outfly the AI. They are particularly susceptible to yo-yos and lag displacement rolls. Use the latter to stay inside their tighter turning circles but be careful of ripping your wings off.
  17. Mirrors people, mirrors.
  18. If your plane is in the radar cone of the firing unit, you should be getting a launch warning. Your RWR cannot tell which plane is being locked, only that something is being locked and fired on.
  19. Make sure you have Search/Track radar and launcher modules in the same group. Setting Alarm State to Red (add advanced Waypoint thingy -> set options -> Alarm State -> red) makes them more aggressive. Also make them Skill level Excellent if you want them to start shooting at you immediately when you get in range.
  20. You don't need triggers and things. Just plonk down a SAM of some kind, make it Red (SA-8 is easy), add a Hornet, make it blue, and set the skill to Player. Change the loadout on Hornet to have HARMs, click fly and go shoot it.
  21. Set them to the highest skill level too.
  22. The sight can only calculate where the plane will be if it keeps doing what it is doing, if it has any acceleration (in any direction) the bullets will probably miss. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. True, but some of us wants to encourage nicer changelogs. ED's changelogs on average are pretty reasonable, mistakes happen, that's fine.
