  1. Here you go, a little mod for the BK to quiet it down. Works well.
  2. Sounds good, you should. Here is the sound card I got for the BK, but it seems to have gone up $10 since I bought mine. I think there is one without the headphone amp as well that might be cheaper. But can shop around too. https://www.amazon.com/Creative-Blaster-Audigy-Performance-Headphone/dp/B00EO6X4XG/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1487974123&sr=8-3&keywords=sound+blaster
  3. Not a word from a single member of the Belsimtek team that they even acknowledge the issues? I don't get the total lack of communication, even so much, we are working on stuff or we aren't. I just don't get it.
  4. I have done some tests as well with this and I can say for certain the pilot models are kinda funky in what seems all of them where they exist. I am not a big guy, 5'10" 165lbs, avg. hands and arms, not fat nor supper skinny, and the pilot model is quite a bit smaller and with odd proportions, long forearms, tiny hands, thin thighs, long shins, narrow ass shoulders. Basically looks like Capt. America before he got the special treatment.etc. This seems to be a factor in all this too perhaps. I use center stick and can position my stick in the same exact spot as shown in VR and pop off headset and back on back and forth and compare real world with virtual from same spatial locations and my hands are huge compared to the VR pilot, the stick in the A10 does seem a tad bit smaller too. Again I am flipping between real world and VR quickly or even peeking and you can compare. It seems a proper sized and proper proportioned pilot model would help this issue. I am not sure how it works with the various devs but it would seem best for ED to create a pilot base model that is properly modeled and correct proportions and provide that as the template for all devs pilot model to be built from. This way there is uniformity across the board. If this is how it works currently then ED needs to make new pilot model because the current one is funky. I mean the Warthog stick is a correct size copy of the real one as represented in the A-10 right? Isn't that one of the features of the Warthog, it is the same model design and size as the real one? Or is this incorrect as well?
  5. I have a BK2 and it works great. Also ordering up a Jetseat shortly as well because why not. I am betting your issue with the BK is it just is not hooked up correctly. And to really hook it up correctly you want to have a sound card just for it. Sound Blaster Audigy can be had for less than $30 on Amazon and it works with it. But most who have issues just do not have it config'd correctly. My pc has 2 sounds cards, onboard for sound and the add-on for the BK. Works wonderfully once all set up.
  6. Hey thanks for that correction. I must have missed that key fact somehow. Thanks again man. (Rechecked post, now clearly see F-15E. Doh! Now wondering if I should recheck my actual work work..one of those days..lol)
  7. Wishing you luck. I would love to fly with doors off.
  8. I see in the pic of the real one the image is scaled to fill the entire HUD. Currently the wip image of it looks scaled to the size of the MFD screen(could just be perspective of course). I wonder if in final version it will scale to each accordingly like it appears it is doing in the RL image. Either way, freakin cool and thank you Razbam for sharing. Your PR has really been fantastic lately. Thank you for that. It is really appreciated.
  9. +1
  10. Not that I have found. Best 10 bucks I spent in a long while. It has quickly become invaluable, especially with VR. I cannot recommend it highly enough. I added HCS voice packs for Elite D and SC for even more awesomeness. It really can be used in some many ways. DCS isn't the only title you can find benefit with it.
  11. That entirely depends on the user. I have never had an issue at all. Others it takes some acclimation time. But for most, even the rocky starts eventually smooth out and you get used to it. In fact a friend of mine says it helped him in other areas like when he travels and car sickness kind of stuff. You get conditioned usually after a bit if not out the gate fine.
  12. Thanks you for this.
  13. I feel this way about several aircraft at times.:joystick: Day 1 purchase indeed. This is one of my dream DCS birds. Thanks for sharing more of your production process with us Zeus67. It is really appreciated very much I know by all.

    SHIPS

Well please pass on to him/her our kudos on the fine work. Really great looking models and would/will be great to see in sim when ready. Damn impressive

Very nice! So uh, will that hovercraft be able to transition from sea to land and vice versa? I assume so, but never know.
  16. Thanks so much for another peek behind the scenes. It really is very much appreciated Prowler111. Looking just fantastic.
  17. Yeah, the ability to try it, and if not for you return it, is a nice safety net to have for the unsure. As for how I can power all at once? I have 2 vid cards in my system, not sli'd. GTX1080 has 3 Asus 24inch 144hz monitors(Dports)and then I use the HDMI for the my VR sets(I swap them out using the Vive hub, which works for the Oculus as well). Card 2 is a GTX770 I run 2 7inch mini monitors from the DVI and a projector from the HDMI I have a plug for all and even a couple left over I could use. Bingo! Pretty much the way to decide the question for anyone torn between the two. lol..why I got both. I hate being torn. And I am glad I got the Vive, my girl and friends dig the roomscale stuff. Not a cockpit monkey like me so nice to have the option to offer them cool things to try.
  18. Well actually fitness88 one of the qualities of VR is supposed 1:1 scale, at least in a title such as this, so if things are smaller, which to be honest I have felt may be the case as well. And if so it does negate this aspect of VR somewhat. It is not like everything is scaled for 'little people' but it seems it does need to be increased a certain percentage value to be true 1:1 scale.
  19. So freakin cool. Thanks for the peek behind the scenes. Much appreciated.
  20. I had done some GearVR before I purchased but I bought both without trying either. I figured it was a safe gamble as for the 1st month or so after launch people were getting more than they paid for them on eBay and Craigslist. So I figured, if I didn't like them or they sucked I would just quickly resell, but the second I tried one, I smiled and haven't stopped since. Still, it is an amazingly fun thing to do and really has made flying on monitors just a downgrade, I have a Quint(5) Screen setup as well as a 3d projector, so not a shabby setup prior to VR, and VR blows them both away when it comes to flying and racing. As for how you will think about DCS in VR. Well, the many posts here in this sub forum tell the story. You will be blown away, even with the few shortcomings that exist. They simply do not degrade the experience enough to remove it's mind blowing factor. I am betting if you try it in DCS, with a good gpu and cpu combo powering it(I have a 1080GTX) you will be kicking yourself for doubting the bulk of reported user experiences. Just simply flying is amazing, let alone the combat factor added in. The cockpits are in amazing 3d, the depth, it is all there. And while there are some slight scaling issues it seems, everything is life size, so that translation along with the 3D just amounts to pure freakin awesomeness. I am such a supporter I already have the funds set aside for the next gen when it comes out. I will again jump on the pre-order to catch the 1st wave once available. And with a couple other similar topic'd titles coming out with VR add-on updates soon even more to enjoy in this genre in VR. Not to mention the civi sims used with FlyInside that provides VR support. Good times ahead. As for better 3d effect or res, I would say same, but subtle differences that there are many reports of and sources for you can read on. If I am driving or Flying, I use the Rift, but have also not tried the Vive in DCS since several updates ago and know it has improved by all reports. Rift just has had support much longer and what I use. As for monitors, your monitors are gonna be on still, you will see a taller skinnier window for DCS that is only actually the left eye view being displayed. But yeah, I can have all 6 of my displays running as well as one of my headsets on all at the same time(I have 2 vid cards, VR and triples run off GTX1080, 2 smaller screens and projector run off a GTX770.) Anyways, hope that helps. Sorry for the long post Oh by the way, if you buy Rift from Amazon, and don't like, can just return it. Gives you a month to play with it and see if you wanna keep it. An option certainly. But you will wanna keep whatever you get I am betting. Most do..lol.
  21. I own both a Rift and a Vive, from day 1 launch for both. It pretty much is agreed upon by most that if all your gonna do is seated sim stuff, go with Rift, it just currently gives the best experience most seem to agree on. The Vive has made great strides to catch up and is close, but ergo design of it and just ATW and ASW make it great for sims. A bit over the Vive. Now if you are talking expanded usage, fun with friends and family, then the Vive just takes a huge lead, in my view at least. The room scale is amazing and the setup is way way way easier and nicer than the Rifts once you move to room scale usage, which is fun and there are some cool games out and more on the way. You just have to know where to look to find them. Wanna do some cool VR Golfing, then check out The Golf Club VR on Steam, wanna scare the shit out of people, check out Brookhaven Experiment. Wanna play Arma in VR, then check out Onward. Just as examples, more than I just offered up out there but all great on Vive and the Vive setup is so easy and quick to move and does not eat up all your USB's. So, it really is the right tool for the right job kinda of thing. That is why I own both. Oh and no, I guess I am one of the lucky ones that has no motion sickness issues, in real life or VR. All is fun and can go forever with no ill effects regardless of how whacked out I make my movements.
  22. Currently there are 500 Best Buys with Oculus VR pop-up stores in them. Announced 6 days ago(Feb 8th) Oculus is closing down 200 of them. So they will not all be gone but many stores will be losing theirs. 300 left until they decide to close more of them. I guess demo traffic at them after the holidays has died down significantly.
  23. There are some apps like Bigscreen Beta(on Steam) that basically let you view and use your desktop in VR. So with that, yes, you basically can play any game, or watch movies, surf web, etc in the Rift though it is not necessarily in VR, in the 3d, immersion sense. More like having you own personal theater to play games in. To you, you are playing on a gifreakinnormous screen, like movie theater size. Also, you can get apps like VorpX that do convert non VR games to VR usage. Aslo, there are apps like Whirligig that are strictly media players that let you watch movies in 3d, or 2d in the Rift or Vive. Hope some of that is useful to you.

  25. If in USA as stated Best Buy has demo kiosks in a bunch of stores, but be aware they are closing a bunch of them because not enough people are using them. So get on it if you are interested before one in your area if there is one closes. As for the Vive, you can try that out at Microsoft Stores. They offer demos so hopefully you have one in your area as well.
