  2. I'm a bit confused on what corner airspeed is. Is it the speed for the tightest sustained turn rate? Or for the fastest turn under max G? can someone explain it to me?

  4. Not sure if this is the right place to ask but I'll go ahead On Wikipedia I read that the SA-8 uses RF (radar frequency?) CLOS guidance, and in BMS it can guide on you either through radar or CLOS. Is this implemented in DCS? If not can it be?
  5. so what is the current status of DCS: F-16? unknown, confirmed, in progress?
  6. Is there some value somewhere that ED can increase to make bombs do more damage? As a temporary fix until we get better damage models? Because as you can see in the picture, the damage is ridiculously low. A couple meters off and 500 pounds of explosive seem to do little more to a soft skin truck than a firecracker. While just 2-3 rounds of the A-10C's cannon are enough to kill it.
  7. Since the Fan Song radar is the fire control/tracking radar for the SA-2, shouldn't it show up as a 2 on the RWR instead of FS? And the same for the Low Blow radar (should be shown as a 3)?

  9. no but you can reduce the brightness of the HUD, which makes the text less thick and blurry
  10. Are there any updates on the issues with the lighting and blurriness of the A-10C's cockpit? In 1.5, all the text on the MFCDs and the control knobs was crisp and clear. With 2.5, things became very blurry and blotted...(will post screenshots later)
  11. Yeah it's still WIP since rn the aircraft explosions look like copies of rocket or bomb explosions, so it must just be placeholder

  13. The new explosion effects that 2.5 has brought us look absolutely fantastic. Explosion effects for rockets look as I think they would in real life. But does anyone think that the explosion effects for missiles and bombs should have maybe a bit more fire and less dust on impact? (Especially when a missile impacts an aircraft, imo there should be a bit of a fireball on impact and less smoke) Not complaining just suggesting :)

  15. How about you relax considering people waited for the 2.5 update for years and FLIR update for years, just to see it half-fixed and then royally butchered again. Just admit, ED can't do anything right

  17. That's fine, they can take as much time as they need. All I ever want from ED is acknowledgement that this is an issue. That shouldn't be too hard for them should it ;)
  18. Call me ignorant, but I don't see why it would be so hard to just take the cockpit look from 1.5 and make the cockpits in 2.5 look the same without changing anything else...(in terms of terrain, explosions, etc)
  19. Also just as a note, turning off Deferred Shading also reverts the explosion effects back to 1.5

  21. Can ED please comment on this? The issue being that with deferred shading ON the cockpit becomes very blurry but outside world looks fine. And with the deferred shading OFF the cockpit looks good but outside world terrible
  22. Is it normal for the Flankers and MiGs to annoyingly pitch up and down constantly, requiring constant trim? And is there any way to avoid/fix this other than constant trim input?

  24. Hey guys has anyone ever thought of making the rule so that you announce takeoffs and landings on the actual tower frequency, which is different for each airfield, found on the F10 map? I just find it'd be more realistic we tuned into XXX.XXX freq for one airfield and YYY.YYY freq for a different one, instead of one frequency for all airfields in the Caucasus region which is a bit unrealistic imo
  25. How do RWRs tell the difference between being hard-locked and being fired/launched upon by an enemy?
