Latest update pauses & crahes
MRaza replied to MRaza's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Ok good to know -
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I updated to the latest version (1.5.8.12823.414) and been playing on multiplayer servers. I'm getting a lot of really long pauses, and on 3 separate occasions I've been booted back to the main menu with no warning. Anyone having the same issues? (if this isn't the right place to post this thread, please lemme know the appropriate place threads like this should go )

just happened again for a third time, no reason or anything just a kick back to the main menu

just updated my dcs to 1.5.8.12823.414 and I'm gettting a lot of random, really long pauses, and I just got kicked from 2 separate servers back to the main screen for no apparent reason... can someone help me or point me to the appropriate thread to ask about this?

Werewolf's Re-Heat Afterburner Mod (DCS 1.5)
MRaza replied to Werewolf1025's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Not sure. You can try them out or wait till the patch merges. Personally I deleted both mods because you can't tell the difference during daytime, and at night time I liked the vanilla afterburner better than ghost blue and shockwave -
aw man, gotta set up controls for 1.5.8 :(

Werewolf's Re-Heat Afterburner Mod (DCS 1.5)
MRaza replied to Werewolf1025's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Update: Shockwave and Ghost Blue both work in 1.5.7. The afterburners are barely visible in the daytime, with or without the mods. I guess that's a bit realistic, as on Google Images I see that afterburners during daytime look a lot weaker than during nighttime. These two mods work just fine during nighttime, though. -
Thank you!

Ok cool. So people who have DCS 2.0 have both 1.5 and 2.0 installed separately? Also, what's different in the 1.5.8 Open Beta?
-
On the DCSW website, I see DCS 1.5 and DCS 1.5 Open Beta. I'm assuming I have to download the Open Beta instead of actually updating the version I have right now, correct? Also what's the difference between the first one and the Open Beta?
-
Oh maybe I haven't updated to 1.5.8 Open Beta. Do I just run the update?

Thanks I'll try that. And yeah, the ICs really suck -
When will the 104th servers be back up for everyone who doesn't have the Harrier?

anyone? -
where do i get the most recent version? in the first post you made on this thread?
-
Haven't tried this yet, but I can already tell this is a very underrated mod.

So it's not used by aircraft radars? Edit: if it's not used by aircraft radars and only ground radars, what's the point of the CW light if you've got the SAM light? Is it just because it can be an indication of guidance? That's probably it, since the Harrier has no Missile Warning System for both IR and radar guided missiles. CW light may be a pilots only indication of a SAM launch. Correct me if I'm wrong
-
So why is this significant enough to put a whole light for it?
-
I have a question about the Harrier RWR, but I'll ask it here because it's very general and there seems to be a lot of experts here :D On the right side of the Harrier there are 4 lights: SAM, CW, AI, and AAA SAM = ground radar AI = Airborne Intercept (airborne radar) AAA = AAA fire control radar CW = Continuous Wave Can someone plz explain in detail to me what CW (Continuous Wave) is?

Werewolf's Re-Heat Afterburner Mod (DCS 1.5)
MRaza replied to Werewolf1025's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Werewolf, the Shockwave afterburner does not look as advertised for me ;) The top left image attached is what I'm assuming its supposed to look like. The other two on top are what the Shockwave mod looks like for me. The bottom 3 are vanilla, which I can't even tell the difference from the mod when looking at the plane from the side. Is this an issue on my end? Or is it supposed to look like this? Thanks  -
Grimes, how will performance in DCS 2.5 compare with 1.5?
-
When a new update is released, do I have to uninstall SRS and then reinstall the updated version again?

16, been playing since I was about 14
