  1. It might actually be as stated previously. I've been flying it the last few days and now that I am cognizant of the potential user error trim issue I have made sure to push the correct way in the hat. Haven't had a trim issue since recognizing that as most likely my problem. now if she would just stop CTD'ing when I use PLM I'd be a happy camper!!
  2. I've had a total of five now, always when I am in PLM, always when I lock a bad guy up. This is in multiplayer.
  3. Jack, are you planning on making one from the 70's as well?
  4. Looks really nice!!
  5. Whoa Lucas......The mighty Corsair was not a death trap!! You just had to stay ahead of the plane. If you got behind on power and tried to fix it by pouring on the coals then yes, that giant prop and all of that torque would throw your non paying attention ass right into the water, but that's 100% pilot error, not the plane's fault.
  6. He'd have to pull it to his lap for that to happen.....of land on a carrier would do it too lol..... I just saw the weekly update. MilTech showed a single picture of a collective???? Didn't they have a working cockpit in a vid a while back?
  7. Hey, I noticed this too a few different times, twice it even forced me to eject when I lost control and couldn't keep the nose down for a recovery. Last night I had it happen and was able to get control of my trim back. I'm wondering if I was accidentally pushing my 8 way onto the wrong "gate" this whole time? I noticed I would push slightly right when I pushed up on the hat. I have to make myself push up and only up. Will investigate further, but unfortunately I am moving so I won't have results for a week. Just thought I would post my experience with the nose up / loss of trim authority issue before I packed my rig up!! ~Rob
  8. Yep, I like all of them!!
  9. I had it twice, both times I was in the auto acquisition mode and turning to put my nose towards a known target. Both times when the radar got a lock I crashed to desktop. Was this similar to your experience?
  10. I can see how it's easy to fall into the "nah, cheater" trap. Been there myself when getting my ass kicked early on in the old IL2 - "nah, he was speed hacking!" was what anyone would say when they got their clocks cleaned real good, instead of shutting up and inwardly self reflecting. That isn't to say that there weren't cheaters, there absolutely were. I dabble in the Bug with a group of guys and we had an internal DF guns only tourny, mostly what was flown was Hornets. I flew a few of them against regular bug drivers and for as childishly simple it seems to be to fly they could make the plane things that made me kill all of my energy. Frustrating? You betcha, my only real kill in the damn thing was a move I tried to follow and the guy ended up in front of me because he had all of his energy and I lost mine, which squirted him out in front by pure accident lol..... Point is that while I agree that there is always someone looking to exploit the game to get ahead it's pretty rare. By and far it's time in the sim/game/module, experience, researching capabilities/limitations, knowledge of other's airplanes, etc, that make the fight. ~Rob
  11. They're going to ask you to post your log.......
  12. I prefer the CSAR role, but if you need the Navy one then I can do that too. Do they not have a mission and then do CSAR as an "as needed" deal? If the roles and are force defined in the scripts then I would prefer CSAR. Thank you!! ~Rob aka Guns
  13. Hi!! I'm looking for a video of an F-5 airshow, I believe it was in Florida? It was a 3 ship of VFC-19 or VFC-111 F-5's set to 80's hair guitar music. Anyone know of it? If so can you link it here please? Thank you so much!! ~Rob
  14. You won't get one, not it things work in any forum with mods and releases as far as I know. In fact, this is the only one actually that I'm part of where other modders and devs don't come on and pee all over folks for asking for things we all now can't be given, so really you're kinda lucky over here because you can ask and not have consequences. Be patient. We didn't even have a Huey until a few years ago!!!
  15. "....due to a navigation error. South Wales." Um, how bad is your navigation? You had to cross the English Channel to do this lol......
  16. Thanks for the helpful tip......hopefully you aren't a school teacher.
  17. Moderators - changelog for the latest patch in Open Beta says they resolved this. Please close the thread at you earliest convenience! ~Rob
  18. Formal skin request please!!! I am looking for someone to make a skin for my friend and I. It's the hi-viz VF-154 Tomcat from their days on Kittyhawk. Can anyone please hook us up? If so please hit me via PM, we have a few minor tings we want to change to make it ours!! It would only be the skin, not names on canopy or pilot uniforms/helmets. Thank you in advance!
  19. Oh, ok. Thank you very much, and sorry for the long delay in reply. I had forgotten I had asked for help on this!! Much appreciated AMS!! ~Rob
