  1. Just a heads up. VoiceAttack 1.x needs admin permissions for plugins to work, but that doesn't really matter as VoiceAttack just happily "types" for you, oblivious to the recipient of the keystrokes. So to the contrary, VoiceAttack isn't even aware of DCS. And VAICOM as the plugin doesn't need admin permissions, and works only through the export.lua like the other applications you mention, and it wouldn't matter for DCS if those apps need admin permissions or not to work. (Don't know if it has changed with VoiceAttack 2.x). Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  2. Probably not for a long time. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  3. Post a track, not a video. Whenever you exit a mission there is a "Save Track", button. But try to recreate a short on in the Caucasus. Are you using any modifiers by chance?
  4. Ah, not all forums have the ability. If it has, just click on the post and a big green button should show below the post. If it isn't there, it's not possible here.
  5. Ahhh! That was kinda important information. I could've told you straight away. Didn't even consider it. Anyway, happy you solved it. Next time you have a problem. Remove all mods from Saved Games.
  6. Like Rob says, post your DCS.log And you can perform a full repair and rename the DCS folder in Saved Games to reset the game back to vanilla. If that helps, there is either a corruption in one of the settings, and/or you have conflicting mods installed. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  7. Only if the files are actually there. And if they are with old IDs, and you have 10 peripherals and 20 modules. You will have to do it 200 times, while there are way quicker ways to do it. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  8. We can hope for a paid one, right? [emoji6] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  9. Excellent! The info in your previous post is correct for official modules, but not for mods that go in Saved Games. [emoji6] So, if you want the same for official modules, use the path above. And I use a mod manager to put them there. [emoji4] Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  10. Where is it stored? It needs to be in the mission\campaign folder for the A-4E-C. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  11. I guess most OpenBeta users already had the inclusions in place, or were using Defender. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  12. Nah, better I would say! [emoji1] Seems propeler misread my comment, and I his. Short, the default effects in DCS for helicopters and FBW jets are pretty rudimentary. Much, much better for WWII modules, and some 3rd party jets. Some do have unrealistic effects added. And if you want more of those unrealistic effects, many do so I'm not judging, you'll need to use the software for the base and get those effects via telemetry. Cheers! 13. Right! Here's a guide. Basically you run the Updater.exe and input the DCS version you want. /topic/94816-guide-info-dcs-updater-usage-version-numbers-module-ids/ Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  14. Understand! Seems several users are reporting the issue even after the folders have been excluded and performed a repair/integrity checks, not matter Standalone/Steam. Did you try a reboot after making the exclusions? Some have reported the exclusions not kicking in before post reboot. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  15. Roger! I guess something in Core changed then. Are you on Steam? If not it's easy to roll back.
  16. You don't bother me! [emoji1] So salty! I know you've been playing DCS longer than I. Reason I asked about OpenBeta was regarding all the people now posting about the false positives we didn't get before. Was really an honest innocent question. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  17. Thanks! Did you try to reboot after you made the exclusions? I've seen reports that the exclusions in Defender might not kick in until a reboot. Checked the update log. Can you check if the file is in the _download folder, and if it may have a size of 0 Bytes? If yes, try to delete it and repair/update again.
  18. Mild correction. You add exclusions to your Anti-Virus solution, you don't disable your Anti-Virus solution. Many of them uses the same database, works the same. That's why. And this is not new. Not how it works. Yes! 100% The file will be whitelisted in a couple of weeks, even if someone claims it already is in Defender. Again, not how it works. It's not even HB. It's the encryption Eagle Dynamics uses that triggers the AV, not the code in any of the files. How many times do you expect them to answer? Or should we answer for them? Or, you could scroll up and read for yourself. I take it you never used OpenBeta?
  19. Well, from ED's point of view, it's not a bug. They fixed bugs and changed the underlying structure those mods depended on. Roger! Pretty much the whole premise for @plott1964's wish. So the mod creators can fix their mods, or make users aware of the consequences of updating to a new DCS version. We can't depend on ED for this, and it might happen more often than not in the future. Exactly, ED can't possibly NOT update their system just to keep users of abandoned mods happy. Agree? Did you rate the thread and gave the post a like? Hopefully people can join the discussion with even better ideas. Cheers!
  20. Me want dollies! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  21. Have you had a look into the input folder to see if the diff files are still there? Maybe Windows changed all the GUIDs for your peripherals and the files are still there. If they are, it's easy to fix it. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  22. Yeah, you change the presets. Just be absolutely sure. Do actually switch the switched in the middle console from from frequency to preset? I had no issues last fall, and don't have my computer here, so I can't test or show the the exact switch in referring to. I know you said you did, while not in your last answer. I'm asking about the mission, because there was one that wouldn't get passed startup, but I finished it anyway. You don't get a written answer, because you have failed to send the transmission, which implays the radio is not setup correctly. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks! [emoji1303] I would just like it to be region and surface appropriate. Like desert versus grass. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  24. Can we please skip the unrealistic dust effects where helicopters blow dust anywhere? I love the new dust effects, but they should be limited to where they can actually occur. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
