[FALSE POSITIVE]DCS World 2.6 trojan? worldgeneral.dll
Kailux replied to NaOH1's topic in General Bugs
Just uninstall these **** antivir programs, youre way safer without. The only thing they give you is false positives and a false feeling of safety edit: and your personal data to everyone paying. But to each their own. -
Id be totally happy already if DCS wouldnt bind "pitch up" to my MFCD OSB12 key or "left throttle" to my left rudder by default O.o (happens every now and then when i unplug and replug my TM Cougar MFCDs for example or install a new module) But your idea would really be sweet, i never can remember how that switch was called in the controls menu - even worse when you walk someone new through setting key bindings and he got his game set to another language :D Simply looking at it, hit a special key and then the button/switch youd like to have it put to... sounds lovely.

I wasn't aware it was planned for this week already. Love to hear its coming so soon, really looking forward to this.

Looking at the state of the Viggen, i want someone else do the Tornado pretty please.

Just happened again, FC3 this time. No changes to the PC at all.

I thought "How epic would a P-38 be?" literally 20 minutes ago.

Its even worse: most 2 way switches on throttles and sticks just have one state - up = on, down = nothing (as in "no signal, no button press sent"). So you cant bind something to the "down" position at all. You need a "if switch up = gear up. If switch not up = gear down" logic and bind stuff if the switch is NOT pressed. Same with 3 way switches: up and down send a button press signal, but the middle position is just empty, so you need a "if switch down = x. If switch down = y. If switch not up or down = z." logic.

Wishlist for the Ka-50 Update: Being able to put 2 or 3-way ingame switches on a 2 or 3-way switch on the HOTAS. The current controls are really a mess like in FC3 planes: switch up -> gear up -> switch down -> nothing -> switch up again -> gear down.
-
Had this twice in the last weeks too and a friend of mine told me had also experienced it lately. Happened on the Ka-50 and the A-10C for me, being asked to activate but when hitting "enter serial" i was getting the message it is activated already and DCS started normally with the modules working just fine. No hardware changes or similar.

Helps with deciding if i want to buy another HB module. Answer is two characters long.

new cockpit at night is too dark - no buttons visible
Kailux replied to ac5's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Youre right, ive been calibrating and decalibrating my monitor, HOTAS, Headphones and microwave for the last 21 days - sometimes twice a day! :helpsmilie: -
gamma setting, night is not night for everyone...
Kailux replied to fitness88's topic in General Bugs
Its called "calibrating monitors" what ensures everybodys got the same and accurate image, but its something DCS users are resisting at any cost. Read the dozen of A-10C dark cockpit threads for lulz. -
Pardon my french, but we dont need that eSports bullshit in a studysim environment. It only attracts people that minmax to win at any price and be super edge competitive instead of leaning towards the study and realism aspect that makes DCS what it is. I dont want these people to flood the servers and **** everything up. Use MAC for this idea, that will be the proper audience.

The hitbox for interacting with the MIK BAND switch is way too big. Trying to hit the TRÅD labeled screw (aka "intercom") often results in accidently switching the MIK BAND. Marked the rough hitbox size in attached image.
-
The IFF code selector dial got an interaction pointer and tool tip but no animation and is apparently non-funtional.
-
Left- or right clicking the "RADAR/EL maintenance test switch" results in a C++ Runtime error and application close. Running openbeta 2.5.5.41371
-
The KURSKORR dial got an interaction pointer and a tooltip but there is no animation shown and it looks non-functional.
-
When hovering over the Cabin Air Valve lever, its got an interaction pointer and a tooltip but the lever is non-funtional/got no animation.

The NÖDTRIM TIPP switch plays a switch click sound on right clicking the switch when it is in BAKT position already. Viggen NODTRIM BAKT bug.trk

The INTERCOM button click functionality is broken in general. Radios are interchanged. To communicate via intercom, you have to actually click on the screw that is labeled "TRÅD". The Viggen manual (from this thread) describes this on page 231 as "omkopplare TRÅD" which translates to "switch wire" - i guess its either some kind of circuit breaker or used for maintenance. Maybe a native speaker can help out here. When clicking that TRÅD screw, the button labeled SM (described as "SM-omkopplare FR 24" in the linked Viggen manual on page 231, apparently the intercom/FR24 button) to the right is animated being pressed down (also bugged, parts of the button go through the panel surface having the panel clip through the button. See attached image). When having the intercom button bound to a HOTAS button or using a keyboard bind, the incockpit SM button stays in depressed position regardless if the button was released. When clicking the TRÅD screw, this does not happen. FR-22 and FR-24 are interchanged in the controls. The above linked RL Viggen manual states the left console intercom (SM) button as FR-24. The button on the stick (number 15 on the page 231) is described as "SM-omkopplare FR-22. In the DCS controls, the SM button is called FR-22, the stick button FR-24. Viggen Intercom button bug.trk

The ROLL CENTR button can be bound to a key or stick button and is working correctly but the button got no animation, the actual incockpit button is not clickable via mouse, got no interaction pointer or tooltip.
