This gentlemen here misspelled "make Pave Penny working" for some reason. Fixed it

+1 Just super annoying. -
-Turning on the position lights and switching nose/tail illumination on. -Starting with the pinky switch in the center position (off), these lights are off as intended. -'Pinky switch aft' dims the position and nose/tail lights from OFF to ON. -Putting the pinky switch to center again, the lights go OFF without any dimming effect (where one should be i guess). -Putting the pinky switch from center into fwd position dims position and nose/tail illumination from OFF to ON, then the nose/tail illumination immediately dims back to OFF. Putting the position lights into Steady/Off/Flash position doesn't change this behavior. I assume the nose/tail illumination should be ON in aft and fwd position and the dim to OFF effects should show when moving the pinky switch from either aft or fwd back to the center position. Video linked showing the lighing panel settings, then starting external with pinky center (00:01), switching to pinky aft (00:04), pinky center (00:10), pinky fwd (00:14), pinky center (00:19), then starting over with pinky aft (00:24) repeating the process. https://streamable.com/i39ev

Hello ED, first let me thank you for overhauling the Hogs cockpit. You guys did a damn great job on this and i think it looks and feels just brilliant. But there is a little thing that has been there for a long time (or better said: not been there). No gamebreaker by far, but its causing itches each time so im asking you guys for a kind scratch. Sitting in this birb at low light conditions, we can adjust about everything: HUD color, brightness of a variety of instruments and the consoles, the signal lights panel, the MFCDs, RWR and CMSP lighting, even the receiver lights for A-A refueling and a lot more. What's missing is the CDU brightness being dimmable, its like a sting in an otherwise cozy, toned down cockpit. I don't know your code but from a programmers POV i'd assume it's nothing too complicated and time consuming to implement but have a considerable impact on how the pit looks and feels in a low light condition, making it worth to put hands on. I'm aware the hog is considered 'feature complete', so just look upon this request as a non-feature but 'improving usability and asthetics' . It just feels kind of strange to have all the available brightness knobs in the pit working except this one for no apparent reason. And since you're working on the cockpit and the lighting right now anyways, it would be a perfect opportunity to sneak this little thing in and make the hog even more beautiful. If time permits of course. A little thing to the forum users: i know its tempting, but please don't derail this into yet another "muh HUD", "muh dark cockpit" or "muh paid upgrade to suite XY" thread, we literally got a dozen of these at the current already. I'm asking the mods to moderate this or lock if neccessary. Thanks everybody, have a good start for 2020 and fly safe!:pilotfly: Disclaimer: adjustable lights in the attached image have been toned below 100% brightness without any flood light to show the visual effect and impact of a non-dimmable CDU brightness. Please calibrate your screens and give some time to adjust. No bees or wasps have been harmed creating this post.

The time-to-go / time-over-target display is cut off once it exceeds a certain length. Moving the viewpoint on the XYZ axis or zooming in doesn't fix this.

Astonishing this isn't on the wishlist forums already... 100km² mini-map? I'd seriously love it!

:pilotfly:

Never expected a 1.7 thread could grow that long.

When repairing while being parked in these hangars (Al Dhafra airbase in this case), you get put down on the roof when repair is finished (you get lifted through when repair starts.).

Once theres room in the pipe, i think a Pave Low variant would be an awesome addition to DCS. Heavy helos are lots of fun and this one got lots of toys. Insertion/CSAR (multiplayer) missions with A-10C support on the coming Afghanistan map for example

Definitely dynamic campaign, bugfixing/completing existing modules following close behind. Edit: "Bugfixing" includes things like fixing the damage model finally, so CBUs for example actually work.

Multiplayer difficulty/challenge for realism by KIA/POW/MIA

You always got the option to simply uninstall DCS once you crash or splash while the others just respawn and have fun. No coding needed. -
The beta version patch. Can second this. I already had a 20GB pagefile when the crashes occured and way before but suddenly everything ran like a charm again once i reverted back to release version the very next morning :pilotfly: Edit: just gave latest beta (2.5.5.33184) a try and did successfully start the missions that crashed lately; last beta patch might have fixed it. Will "test" (:D) some more a bit later.

In the Su-25A the game freezes on "waiting for pooled tasks" (Su-25 instant action - Ground attack) but successfully loads into the PG mission "Su-25 cold and dark" but CTD [on mission quit EDIT: actually CTD a second or two after loading in] (Logs 2.rar). In the A-10C i've got a crash to desktop without any notice on "waiting for pooled tasks" (Logs.rar). Caucasus map seems to work fine. Already deleted saved files and ran a repair. Graphics drivers and Windows are up to date. All mods are disabled viaOvGME. DCS is up to date (openbeta). Specs: i3-4150, GTX950, 8GB RAM, Win10 home 64-bit, SSD. Poke me if you need any further info, logs attached. EDIT: reverted back to release version this morning, as far as i can see it seems to have solved the issues.

Hang on, theres literally DOZENS of casual flight games out there for anyone who likes that level of complexity and just a very few for "elitists" like you call it. Yet you tell the "elitist" to bug off...
