There's a fascinating technological advancement in recent hears, know as a ISE (Internet Search Engine), that can help with this. It's fantastic, has a box you can type questions in and it spits out all kinds of info, like some kind of... knowledge genie. Also, starting next summer at least 15% of new products hitting the market will come with a thingie called a ''manual'', containing all the information required for proper usage! It's fantastic, it's revolutionary, it takes all the guesswork out of life! Your days of staring angrily at a plethora of buttons wondering which one to push first are OVER! It makes even the most complicated task so simple even a caveman could do it (provided said caveman received a course on basic literacy. Disclaimer : cavemen are not real and definitely not included) -
We Need a New RAM Management for the Game Engine!

Thank you for your submission to ''Rant of the Week''. This is a good attempt, hits the main points of hyperbole and poor proofreading, but does not have NEARLY enough exclamations. You really need to make us FEEL your angst and in text, that is best done with exclamation marks, preferably with a few ''1s'' slipped in to indicate your finger slipping off the shift key in the heat of your emotion. Better luck next time! Ok, ladies and gentlemen, our next contender is already stepping up, he's nice and sweaty and appears to have keyboard indentations on his forehead, I'm really excited to see how this unfolds! Let's tune in now... -

Yeah, Russia has its own equivalent of weebs. No, not really. He's high enough he's not in immediate danger and has the option of ejecting at will, unlike in an airliner. He'd have to be an idiot not to at least TRY to recover the plane first. Pilots are not superhuman, even the Russian ones, and the real joystick fliers are the ones that think they are. More importantly, they don't spend ten minutes skimming youtube videos before jumping in a pit and part of that training is emergency procedures, which is what we see here. -
How many wingmen have you killed b/c you couldn't AA refuel?
Mars Exulte replied to CybrSlydr's topic in DCS 2.9
I dunno, doesn't feel like it to me. Landing it is very mushy, but if I go up to the tanker in Stores I it is very sensitive. Going to Stores III definitely made a difference (I have an extended stick, so it is hard to miss the extra deflection) -
I think a lot of the 19's loose ends have been tidied up over the last few updates While the 15 is indicating signs of nearing release, the 23 most definitely is not... That's hand wringing about a problem that doesn't exist for a module that doesn't exist nor is likely to exist in the near future.

Here's to Fishbed II ''The Search For More Money!'' (Spaceballs reference, not a dig at M3, cause Fishbed is similarly stupid sounding to Spaceballs... I'll see myself out)

Put it in stores mode III if you haven't tried that already. Mode I is for AA only loads, Mode III is for a2g and/or drop tanks and reduces the max g and stick sensitivity (specifically so you don't rip those jdams off with a 9g barrel roll). Also useful for AAR. Switch on front left panel near the gear lever. -edit Also, boom fueling the F-16 is easier than probing with the navy jets. With the probe it's all on you, with the boom you only have to get relatively close to in position, hold still(ish) a few seconds so the boom guy can plug in, then you can move around a bit, as long as you don't go TOO far you're good. -
Yeah, I noticed @@ I fixed the registry entries, too (my frankenstein DCS install has moved locations and drives multiple times) and that was causing the blinking menu bit and the app and general non-function. so it's all working now except during my final tests DCS itself wasn't receiving the commands. It was 2am by that point so I went to bed, but I have several lines of inquiry to follow up on with that one and I hope to have it fixed today once I get a minute to sit down. -edit Mission accomplished, all systems working.

New graphics API. The guts that control how DCS handles graphics processing. GPU (think Nvidia and Radeon) Processing for non-graphics related tasks, like AI, physics, etc etc (Think AMD/Intel). Currently DCS is limited to two cores, so if you've got a big fancy 16-core processor it doesn't do you any good. DCS core engine processes are from a time when ''moar cores'' was not such a thing yet and we all still thought 4gb of ram was ''a lot''. Dynamic lighting would indeed be simulated light sources. At present ''light'' is just a brightened patch of texture, that's why it looks ''wrong'' and doesn't illuminate the environment properly. Again, holdover from the olden days, it's a cheap easy way to fake ''light''.

I think he's meaning vapor cones. If I remeber right, the JF-17 has them, but they're ''tbd'' for everything else.

@@ ''Russia stronk, plane stabilised by superior aerodynamics of slavic penis'' Pilots are trained on emergency procedures which is mostly what we see: an aircraft malfunction and the pilot running through the checklist and comming with ground, which is exactly what every pilot, including civilian ones, will normally do in such a situation. The only remarkable moment is the very end when the plane tried to pitch up just before touchdown and he popped the chute to force it down. Most/all western pilots would have had to eject then, not due to their tiny unmasculine penis, but because they don't typically have chutes and would have simply crashed. Probably also the fact it happened on a high alpha Flanker as opposed to something less forgiving like a F-16 or some such. -
Hey guys, sorry to bother you. Once upon a time I had all this stuff working, ended up having to repurchase it yesterday cause reasons ANYWAY, I got everything installed and mostly working right, but for some reason it's refusing to accept the registration keys I have (I'm using the new ones, obviously). I've tried several of them, and different formats of entering them, and it's just not takin' for some reason. Suggestions? A cursory glance isn't seeing anybody else having this problem. -edit I dunno if it's relevant but I purchased VA on Steam -edit I disabled Windows Defender (my only AV) to no avail SOLUTION The keys are case sensitive, must be all caps. keywords for future reference: vaicom, keys, validation, registration, failure

Hello, can I request this be escalated to ''ignored for all eternity''? You're more of the ''cherry lime'' variety? I don't know if you've noticed, but the overwhelming tendency is ''agrees with my preconceived notions = expert, upsets me 'it's just one guy!!1!' '' I'm inclined to say the internet has made people dumber, but it wasn't that long ago somebody would have drilled a hole in Subs17's head to let out the evil spirits, so I'm of mixed opinion... Intelligent discourse is definitely on the decline at present, though, and the basic skills of how to sift through information and discern what's credible and what isn't have never really been taught, people just go with kneejerk emotional responses.

Excuse me, sir, would you like ranch or italian dressing with your word salad? I have a very savory tomato vinegarette you might enjoy, too.
