Is there a way to make the encoders act like actual buttons permanently without having to reset them every single time? This has to be one of the most annoying feature I face every time I use these panels.

Yeah Id revisit this map too if they ever got this working. Not like spotlights in the game dont work fine at the moment though... just imagine if raytracing were in the sim right now and this map was 100% lit.

at this point they might as well make the entirety of the pacific fleet, the island hopping campaigns, all the other aircraft that the F4U went up against, all the countries and the assets flew with and against...you know, like Battle of Stalingrad kinda spinoff and might as well call it a new simulator...you can wait another 8+ years. theres this thing called "biting off more than you can chew". one of the unbreakable Murphy's Laws of Combat is "if you take more than your fair share of objectives, then you will have more than your fair share of objectives to take." people want to keep complaining about why its taking so long, its because of this...and really, whos fault is that?

This has to be just recent because windows defender never picked up on anything in DCS before. I noticed it for the first time yesterday just by accident...

I just had a similar issue. Try looking at Windows Defender and see if M2KC FM is having some sort of conflict.

Would this have anything to do with it? First time EVER seeing this. I never even fly the M2KC, but here it is. EDIT: apparently it is. Im going to test it for a while, but after whitelisting the entirety of the DCS folder with Windows Defender seems to have fixed it. Ran for 15 minutes now without a single crash.

Ive ruled out any controllers or the new monitor. Its crashing regardless if its just keyboard and mouse on my desktop monitor. Also have ruled out bad drivers. I had used DDU, reinstalled and slipstream install of Nvidia drivers 552.44. It doesnt crash after 5 minutes now, but after I have the aircraft moving for some reason it will crash immediately. This is a fresh install of DCS; no old anything in the saved game folder, no liveries, not even a joystick mapped out yet. Crash is persistent through another install that had similar crashes that I havent been able to pinpoint as of yet. I believe this might be because I have hardware turning on and off in powered USB hubs. Ive noticed DCS likes to freeze and shut down unexpectedly if a controller is unplugged. I have recently reinstalled Windows 10 Pro and havent flown in a while, but recently added a 4K monitor in my cockpit. I am just letting DCS run until it crashes, and it usually crashes within 5 minutes of starting. Literally there is nothing installed that can be considered 3rd party - no liveries, no SRS, teamspeak or voice attack, no scripts installed yet. How is this mod coming? I see some people already have it...? Id love to do some testing as well if possible.

What I am on about (and why is this confusing to you?) is that all you should expect is "the aircraft". Again, if they promise ANYTHING more, be happy with that, will you? Can you do that, please?? If they have anything to report, or wish to say something, they will. No need getting worked up over anything you cant control. How many times do I have to suggest to just....chill out?

Dude...get off that soapbox please. The context I used is it is foolish to expect or demand more than the aircraft itself. You dont like the context, fine. Nice little ignore button that helps assist in that. Dont let me stop you from using it. Be happy with what you get, be glad you got it in the first place, and if you get more than you expect, be ecstatic and enthusiastic with what bonus stuff you got. Being demanding about getting more than what you pay for is...how to put this...incredibly rude? Childish even? Let it go.

Well, the corsair is all I am expecting and thats all I want. Why would anyone want and expect more than that? Again, asinine.

What is incorrect with my asinine statement? Only one other 3rd party has come out explicitly stating they are going to release assets alongside of an aircraft, and that was Heatblur with the F-14 and they never had to nor need to. They have no obligation to you to release anything, much less than what they are offering and you are basically saying "gimme this gimme that too or Im not buying it". If you're going to ask for all that, why not just come out and ask for all the variations of the F4U as well? Again, asinine. $50 dollar module, 8 years for 3 people to develop...and you want the whole pacific theater and everything in it? Come on. Asinine = stupid or foolish; Accurate description.

why does it need assets? most people wont buy it until it comes with a carrier, but I think thats a bit asinine. not having a european theater didnt stop people from buying the mustang or spitfire, and ED sold an assets pack to assist in sales with other terrains as they came out to support the era of aircraft. you're buying the aircraft itself, and thats all you really should expect. if the corsair wasnt such a big deal without japanese fighters and torpedo bombers to play against, then miltechs F4U wouldnt have sold at all. thats one of my favorite MSFS and P3D modules of all time.

I always just reversed that axis to where I had to pull back on the throttle for collective, seemed a bit more intuitive to me...but I just got an apache collective too and its....DIFFERENT.

Guess Ive been flying helis for so long that Ive forgot about the small things like that.

Just to put my 2c in, I havent had a chance to fly it yet so take it with a grain of salt...but wouldnt you only need to counter the collective yaw only while unlevel ground? Wouldnt one normally have to counter collective with the cyclic during sloped ops?
