he loves pushing those buttons, doesnt he. He's been a problem since he showed up, and personally Id like to file a complaint against him for harassment. you should...nip the problem now, its only going to get worse. you dont need to explain anything to anyone because we get it. he's obviously in for the rise.

yeah but thats not a large percentage of it...
-
well then that explains all the hate.....

Im watching it now actually...

a 1 hour stress test isnt nothing to write home about. its the first year of owning it with regular use is going to be like. are the gears plastic? if anything is belt driven, what type of rubber are they using? are the motors cheap chinese knockoffs? think that box looks nice for a reason, dressed up with a leather dust protector...again I just want to know whats inside, really. After my experience with this winwing panel Im tired of cheap crap.

only warranties I could find at Moza are for the racing stuff at the moment; their bases go for 24 months while everything else goes for either 12 (wheels, pedals...controllers types ), 6 months (power supplies, cables), and none for the accessories. 24 months isnt bad for a base, but VKB and Virpil are two years themselves, but they still support repairing their stuff beyond the warranty. It costs money, yes...but I know these sticks will last and they have a track record. They arent nothing hard to repair when you get the replacement parts, much like Thrustmaster stuff. again, Id have to see because I dont know whats inside that box nor how well its built.

Im not questioning whether or not they can move from racing to flight sims, Im questioning their built qualities. Ive heard numerous complaints about the quality of their racing gear over the past month, and the overall price range for the base is just....too much of a coincidence for me. I even have a problem with quality from Winwing too...I had to replace one of my MIPS panels recently because a USB-C connector was never soldered in. It took me months to figure that out, and certainly Winwing's 1 year replacement policy should have warned me too. I just...dont know. The Brunner goes for 1500 bucks; VPForce, $800 and its a home built kit. Same with FFBeast. I get the mass manufacturing discounts, but I can say these 3rd party home built mods...yeah, obviously...going to suffer from some sort of build qualities until they get on their game, but they arent outsourcing their stuff to people who have safety nets on the side of their buildings so they cant jump off the roof. I just dont see how that price being low is a good thing. Ill have to wait and see.
-
man, I am really leery about that price for the base....seriously I cant see how they can make this thing well built AND that cheap at the same time. definitely going to have to wait and see how this one plays out.

Well, my question still stands. How are wingmen going to be controlled in the future? LIke I mentioned earlier its basically a suicide mission for the most part, the Ka50 has better comms for controlling them....its more or less like dragging 3 other people with you and it is nowhere near as efficient as it should be. I mean you REALLY have to be on your game just to use them even half assed. Its just a handicap in missions when they're tied alongside you.

Have you checked the log for the details? Find the log because there are a ton of those dcs_mt_manifest.bin files in dcs. also you need to find this address: C:\Users\me\AppData\Local\Skate_Zilla_Simulations\DCS_Updater_GUI_Utility.e_Url_rqwpoej0p3kjhj2nt4var0ywwrne52hk delete those user.config files. make backup copies of them first.
-
Then you might want to delete the Saved Games/DCS Updater Utility folder. You will have to make another profile unfortunately, but unless Skate or someone else suggests something better thats the only other thing I can suggest. Does DCS launch from their proprietary launcher? I think after this update there will be no more Single Thread, mine reads MultiThreading = N/A.

I was curious about that, because it sounded like he was using a voice attack profile to get them to send and receive targets. If he had a second player doing that, he was pretty fast at it...but this video is also 8 months old, so was curious if something else was being worked on for wingmen control.
-
So I just got finished watching the Datalink/Target Sharing videos from Wags and noticed wingmen are attacking datalink targets automatically. Is this the future of controlling wingmen from here on out? I ask because the Comms/F10 menu of task assigning wingmen are akin to suicide missions with zero rewards and I would really like to find out how the best method would be for controlling them from here on out...or if that is subject to change here in some place and time.

If I knew someone who did CNC, Id have paid triple for it and Id send some business his way. I considered finding a shop out here that might be able to do it, but Ive no idea where to look. Its times like now I wish I still worked at Boeing..then I read the news and Im glad I dont again. Ive checked around Lowes and Home Depot for a sheet metal brake that I could rent for a few hours and the only ones I could find are for aluminum siding. I can probably get away with it, but sheet metal aluminum siding isnt really up to snuff and not sure if it could handle .062 7075 T6. I happen to have some titanium lying around in storage too...hate working that stuff. -
I dont have any extensions for virpil or thrustmaster. the bases I had at the time didnt really have the strength to really use them and I didnt want to wear my stuff out so never bought into that. Ill give Moza a shot, but I want to see some reviews first because Ive heard nasty things about them from people on the sim racing side of the community.

yeah, countersinking it. gotta have a countersink for it. all my sheet metal stuff is in storage and I cant justify rearranging my entire storage shed just for one of mine...and at that point it would be easier to have someone else make it. I dont know if I have any cutters for them either...believe me, thought of that. Also, I have to have a joggle that goes over the seat mount on the frame and extend it aft a few inches. Its easier to shave plastic down. Id love nothing more to build this myself, I just dont have access to a brake. -

There are two mating surfaces that would interfere. Pinning the two pieces together would create interference, so it has to be one piece. Id do just that, but I dont have a way to rivet the material together. -
So...just learned of the MH16 grip thats being released soon after the base. What a coinkidink. Wonder if there will be an extension to go with it....
