Promise you, I have no mods installed. This is after renaming the saved games folder, still crashing on carrier with a script error. Seems like Ive had nothing but problems with DCS since Ive installed these winwing mip panels, and I cannot attribute this issue to them. I will admit I had the UH-60 mod installed that I forgot about, but this is basically a clean slate and problem still here. this is my saved games folder. dcs.log

I did that. Everything afterwards is posted up above. I emptied my saved games folder specifically for this purpose. I dont put mods in the official folder.

Loading up a normal mission or campaign I am seeing nothing interesting happening. When I load up a mission or campaign that starts out on a boat, I get all sorts of problems: game crashing, hard crash, error messages of a scripting error that I seemingly cant get a screenshot of because my PC just craps out on me. This is a screenshot of the first mission of Raven One at the start. Ive noticed its like this on EVERY SINGLE CARRIER MISSION that spawns on the boat, and its not just Raven One...it happens on every single carrier mission regardless of campaign, mission or training exercise. I have not been able to find a thread mentioning this or it may be related to other crashes, but this is only happening in carrier ops only missions...and so far only tested the Hornet. It obviously looks like a scripting error. Ive tried repairing DCS, Ive removed all my mods, everything I could think of and it crashes. @SkateZilla I may have found an issue with the utility and SimAppPro. Ive been having literal nightmares loading DCS up since the last SimApp update this weekend and Ive narrowed it down to selecting my profiles. Im not sure what exactly is causing it, but it hasnt been giving me ANY issues whatsoever until this past weekend, and now I cant use any profiles whatsoever without my computer freezing up hard.

Ok, Ill give it a shot. Meanwhile I found a possible cause to my issue. I regenerated a new config folder in saved games, reset my screens in SimApp, loaded DCS up and got in cockpit with no crash whatsoever. The moment I tried selecting a profile from Skates DCS Updater Utility causes some sort of conflict within DCS; in short, doesnt seem to play nice when selecting profiles. I had to get around this by creating my own profile inside of DCS and just leave the profiles alone for now. Ill bring this up to Skates attention and see what he thinks.

Yeah I tried that. I did pick force feel in the dropdown menu and uninstalled the HF8 software as it wasnt getting me anywhere. I for the life of me couldnt get it to work inside of DCS. I got on their discord channel earlier for help and got a smart ass reply. Im sending it back.

I bought mine off amazon too, came totally perfect. I would agree though that whoever shipped the product wasnt aware that this box was exceptionally heavy and absolutely needs 2 ppl to carry if you dont have a dolly. I begged the fedex guy to help me drag it down the stairs and he told me not only no but hell no. I totally get why its all banged up as Im surprised I didnt bang mine up like that when I rolled it down the stairs like a boss.

none for the A-10CII or A-10C. Just any normal empty mission with the aircraft itself gives me the issue regardless. Flappie, Im not certain if this one has the A-10CII MFDs set up or if I brought it back to the F18 for testing. Im fairly certain its the warthog though, and was edited by simapp last if I knew any better. Export.lua

Game crashed so hard, it didnt have a chance to finish writing the log file, literally had to reset the computer in order to get out of the freeze. This only happens in the A-10CII and none of the other modules that export the MFD screens...that I have tried thus far. The ones that I have tested that works without a hard crash is the AH64, F-18, F-15E, Ka50 and F16. Ive got some time to help figure this out, Ive no idea why this is causing DCS to crash this hard. Nothing to post at the moment other than the event viewer stating that DCS has stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. Again, Ive only seen this happen with the A-10CII.

I just got me an HF8 a few days ago and Im trying to get mine set up as well. No go on the Sim Shaker app or beta, and some reason its not porting over to DCS with the HFS setup app. Could use some opinions here, I did get it set up in SSA as Realtus as mentioned before, but still aint getting anything.

Eh, I believe thats more legal reasons than a single aircraft being out of service. The EPA practically drops the hammer on all military bases from what Ive seen and I recall it being like that since I was in 20+ years ago. I worked on all sorts of hydraulics nightmares that the EPA dinged us on all the time: M9 ACEs, SEE Tracks, 25 ton cranes...the moment an oil drip hit the deck, it HAD to be cleaned up immediately and a pan placed under it.

I thought I implied that...thats fairly common on any aircraft nowadays as well. But that also goes along with aging hydraulic lines and boost pumps, accumulators, relief valves, the whole works. These items would be mapped with a hydraulic schematic and blue printed with parts no longer in service or production. I imagine F14s being hydraulics nightmares with even the most sadistic plumber.

do you have it enabled in single thread? they use different config files, which means you need to have two sets of settings in order for it to run.

Try launching it from the DCS/Bin folder and see if anything changes first.

granted titanium gets strengthened by cold working, titanium is still susceptible to cracking from vibration. Ive never worked on a tomcat before, much less a museum piece thats been flying for 40+ years, by far the hardest thing a bird in heavy maintenance of that age would be the electrical issues followed by hydraulic lines, but any fatigue from the titanium box would be their greatest obstacle.

you need good contrast in order to lock the gate onto a valid target. doesnt work so well on open water, but you can lock onto a ground moving target on your radar, same method with sea radar, or datalink pod. its actually a fun bomb to use if you know how to use it right, can even loft them over mountains and guide them in with the datalink pod if you know the target area and the weapon well.

Im still new to winwing stuff too. If I use the monitors, I have to select which aircraft to use in SimApp so the monitors are positioned correctly. I have to keep it running to sync the brightness dials to DCS specifically to dim or brighten the backlights on the MIP. I dont have to keep it running specifically. Ill test that portion later, theres still tons of modules I have to set up. Ill get to that later this afternoon.

..you remember those 3D pictures from a while ago where you had to look at them crosseyed to see the images? aligning the IHADDS in both eyes is essentially done the same way. Not my place to tell ppl how to fly their apache with one eye open, so Ill refrain from any red panties jokes....
