Need help setting up 2nd monitor, export TEDAC
Hammer1-1 replied to Hammer1-1's topic in Multi-Display Support
No. Anyways, this problem was fixed. Dont ask; it took almost 2 full months troubleshooting to figure out how best to get this thing to work, and I wasnt the one who made the lua file.,,but damn if it wasnt a long, complicated task. Its still a bit buggy, but it works, perfectly, and its only buggy when I switch profiles. -

Everything is in the key binding section. Everything you are asking about is actually listed in the screenshot I posted earlier. Everything. Toggling the sight, adjusting the sight, selecting smoke, EVERYTHING. Dont make me be the a$$hole here please, I dont like being that guy. Everything you are asking about is easily found if you look for it. -

You have to adjust your gun sight. Again, bind a key. -

Getting old saying the same thing, but last time. BIND A KEY. -

again, you need to bind a key to do that, and that doesnt just specifically go for the smoke, smoke color or whatever. bind a key for everything. -

look in the key binding section and bind a key to it. -
They then later changed it to be either a Whiskey or a Sierra model because that poll suggested thats what everyone would appreciate the most. An updated Whiskey model with the new 4 bladed rotors and flat engine exhaust would be the most appreciated in our current DCS world quite frankly.

but no updates to the gun itself, and mechanical linkage is mechanical linkage. its only going to vary between updates that only improves on the design such as correcting flaws. Its still going to mechanically hold it in position. -
We. Need. A. Character. Creation. Tool. Period.

Its practically a laser beam. The only reason why it would jerk would be from recoil, and that would be mitigated by any mechanical arm aiming the weapon. Its like shooting a jackhammer at a higher RPM setting. You could tell the difference between a human aiming it and a gimbal. -

Question about the M134....this variant seems to spray all over the place, whats the difference between this M134 and the M134 on the UH-1H? I havent tried the M134 on the SA342 so not sure how it compares against that one, but I would assume its similar to the Huey. -

mostly because you would have to relube everything...but also mentioned that not much of a big deal considering its DCS. Oh well. -

Force trim keystroke and release force trim keystroke
Hammer1-1 replied to gdotts's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
Ok I triple checked a setting for Force Feedback enabled and found it on. Seems like its finally working, so thats sorted. -

Force trim keystroke and release force trim keystroke
Hammer1-1 replied to gdotts's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
oh yes, I have those buttons mapped. As I said, the controls indicator shows it centering over the new position but the moment I release the stick it heads straight back to its untrimmed position. You can probably see it in the track above. It might be because its in fade in/out. I can try and revert it back to return to center for it to work since thats what I use in all of the other helicopters and report back. -
Force trim keystroke and release force trim keystroke
Hammer1-1 replied to gdotts's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
But my problem is that the only thing I can find for trimming is the force trim interrupt button and the only thing it does for me is trim the anti torque pedals to my current foot position. Nothing happens with the stick, I have to keep hands on the whole time. Guess I should have been more clearer, but thats hard to do when one doesnt know what to look for. Theres no force trim key binding in the OH58. Heres a track, and I see it working in the controls indicator, but my stick has to be held the entire time. I can release my pedals and retain my orientation, but the moment I release the stick I start to roll right. trim.trk -
Force trim keystroke and release force trim keystroke
Hammer1-1 replied to gdotts's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
Force trim only works on the anti torque pedals and not the stick for me. Im trying the first flight tutorial and in the briefing it says Force Trim [T] keyboard key centers the stick. This key command doesnt exist in the button mapping screen like it does in the other helicopters, so what am I missing? I have these in fade in/out in the options and force feedback off. -
think that campaign is a new one thats a freebie. its not for sale in the shop, so I would check to see if its already installed. Ill check in and report back if nobody else does.
-
thats not right, maybe you had a windows update install behind it.
-
looks like im the first one? ill be flying it in a minute.

makes me really want to get back in the huey again! those were the days...when is this aircraft going to be brought to todays standards? Even the Mustang was eventually fully updated, and it came out not even a year prior to the UH-1H...
