  1. In the previous week's newsletter they mentioned that the next warbird we are going to get is the Fw 190 A-8. Now as to how far they are we really don't know. This is how much I was able to find: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3458972&postcount=137 https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3605822&postcount=156 https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3644925&postcount=162
  2. Check the elevator trim gauge on the bottom left of the cockpit. Also when you are on the ground go to the external view and see if there are any changes to the elevators while you operate the trim. If you see no changes you probably have an issue with mapping. If it is you should probably see the mappings red. You should re-assign them and restart DCS. After that it should work. I hope this helps.
  3. He also didn't mention the Fw 190 A-8 which was recently revealed to be the next WWII aircraft we are going to get as at the time of the recording it might not have been announced.
  4. It's not the refresh rate that's the issue but the resolution. I am not talking about the resolution of the display but the amount of angle that is required for the display to register a change. As proof, in fast manoeuvres the HUD seems quite smooth.
  5. Nice. Good to see we finally have a podcast about DCS. Keep up the good work.
  6. That's a video of a Super Etendard and not a Hornet which I don't think has FBW. The Hornet when dirtied up (gear and flaps down) trims for AOA which is important so you can catch a wire. If you move the stick forward or aft you change the AOA and your hook could skip a wire. Here's a video of a Hornet carrier landing. You can see that although there is some movement it's much less pronounced than the Super Etendard. Also Jabbers' video on carrier landings explains this well. Here's the link:
  7. Well, it seems like you will have to wait a bit more than the rest of us.

    When..

Yes those are the ones I am taking about. It's true that they are not as detailed as the videos Wags makes but it you can still get information out of them. Also I think that Cobra mentioned on Reddit that they plan to make such videos. If I find it again I'll send the link.

    When..

They did do some videos for the Viggen. I don't see why they wouldn't create some for the Tomcat.
  11. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/ If it says that you already have a license for the F-14 then you're good.
  12. I just hope we are going to get introduction videos like Wags does.
  13. This is what Cobra replied in the first page.
  14. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/tomcat/ If you decide to buy it from heatblur you will be given an email with a key which you then enter to your profile page in the DCS website although it doesn't seem to recognize the keys yet.
  15. We will know in 6 days. Probably.
  16. You are going to get a flight controls flight controls audio warning and also the master caution is going to light up.
  17. Yes, you just have to hold it down.
  18. It's not on the products page. You have to go to the E-Shop page and then campaigns.https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/campaigns/memory_of_the_hero/
  19. In the multiplayer arena there isn't a role for the Blackbird, although I am sure that if ED decides to create it as a module they will find a way to make it useful. Having said all that I still believe it would be an awsome singleplayer experience as long as there are great campaigns for it. I don't think we are going to see it as a module any time soon however it would be great if at least we got it as an AI unit.
  20. The Harrier has already been on sale once.
  21. Don't even joke about that.
  22. I have noticed it as well.
  23. I don't think tht's necessary. Sometimes the updates are not online by the time the changelog becomes available.
