Omg crashed again after I made the truck turning back using flares...... Just after prowler is back rolling. dcs.log-20200401-102955.zip

Updated DCS and same crash when going from WP 1 to WP 2 in mission 2. I attached crashlog edit: I could continue mission without crash by setting prowler frequency before reaching WP2. Looks like it was crashing when trying to contact prowler before I tune radio (even though I did not hit space bar before setting the frequency). Hope it helps! dcs.log-20200401-093432.zip

Will do thanks! Next time do a poor and not interesting campain instead please so it's less frustrating getting stuck :)
-
Hello, First try for me for that campain and mission 2 crashes 1.1mile from WP2 where we are supposed to anchor and wait for the convoy to go. Thanks for the help, really frustrating to get stuck so soon in the campain :(

Hey guys, I probably didn't look deep enough in the manual, but just in case the solution is simple I prefer to ask :D Can you release chaffs as a pilot? I have the only dispenser button available assigned and it releases flares. I think I saw in a tutorial that it can be configured to release both flares and/or chaffs, but I can't get Jester to do this. I messed around with pretty much all jester countermeasures options with no success. How are you using Jester for this? Thanks!

+10 :p

Aren't you holding the ejection handle too strong? Happens sometimes :D https://theaviationist.com/2019/03/21/civilian-passenger-ejected-from-a-two-seat-french-rafale-b-jet-during-take-off/

Rudder is only used to taxi right? :D
-
My guess is that the missile couldn't track because it was laughing too much.

Yesterday I did a high speed (Mach 0.8/0.9) break to evade a launch. I went immediately into a flat spin and fell into the sea from high altitude with no recovery possible (full rudder, inside engine full power.... Nothing to do :( ) Was so brutal I though I destroyed the plane by puling too much G's but Tacview showed max 3.5 G.... Wonder if that's only because of that stability system...... Or a flight model issue!!?? Before I only had flat spins by doing stupid things, this is the first time the plane kills me while I did not do something special....

Went for the 32Gb instead of 16Gb and I did not see major improvement (I did not expect much though). I'd say exiting the world is way faster, but loading times seems close to what I had before.

Wait....seriously!!!???!!! The HUD doesn't show airspeed????
Oldfox replied to gmelinite's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Omg, what a great idea  Well thanks for your answer!! I guess realism needs us to forget about using that shitty HUD :D -

Mmmmm. So basically that would mean the position of the pitch ladder vs the horizon line would actually move if we have our head higher/lower? Thus needing to turn that knob depending on how we are seated so it gets roughly to 0 on the horizon? Maybe spent to much time on modern aircraft but being falling from the sky with the 0° pitch ladder perfectly on the speed vector is pretty strange at first :D -

Sorry about hijacking the thread a bit, but about the HUD I have a probably ultra stupid question: Why is the 0° pitch never at the right place? I know we can trim the pitch lader with a knob, but why would this be not aligned by default? INU gyro drift? Bad calibration when starting a mission directly in flight? Thanks! -
Now need to find why DCS crashes each time I exit first mission :( My first try next week will be by adding 16Gb of RAM....

I have same issue but it eventually go from black to normal. Did you try waiting several minutes?

[BEST NO BUG] CRITICAL - module so good I've lost all social life
Oldfox replied to davidp57's topic in Bugs and Problems
I confirm that bug. -
I think I always used ATC to ask for landing, dunno if it has any impact.
-
Works for me in CASE I instant mission (cycling all kneeboard pages to the left to avoid kneeboard crash). I just don't know how to reset it if I try to take off again for another try.
-
Strange we don't even have same crash behavior then. I think that going left I don't even have the crash on any page and can loop back to first. If I go right I got the instant crash on third one.

Hey Pilots, I thought I'd just read the manual and try ACL but actually couldn't find any detail about how to use it. But after some trial and errors I could make it work and god it works REALLY great... What I do is: Gear down / flaps down / hook down Throttle in middle position and engage auto throttle Set autopilot mode in ACL (left button down position on autopilot panel on the left) and engage autopilot. This was not working, until I tried to ask Jester to tune datalink on Stennis. I am using instant action CASE I mission, and though having my datalink on channel 1 was enough: am I wrong? Can only be set up correctly by RIO? Then finally engage the auto guidance when established on localiser (set localiser to ACL instead of ILS by the way) by hitting the wheel steering engage button. Man I wish I had the same for refueling :D

When cycling all kneeboard pages (well that’s a lot...) by the left instead of going 1...2.... it’s not crashing on my side. At least that’s a simple workaround to get to the trap analysis :)
-
Hahaha exactly the same.... And those guys are just circling around endlessly.... Well dunno, maybe if they fire missiles at me I'll be able to see them :D

+1 when doing the first bindings after installing the F14.
