  1. No Rift v2, this was a bust...
  2. While the MK20 did get a nice buff in its ability to deal damage it is currently not modeled as a CBU unit. You need a direct hit for a target to be "killed." In the attached tracks I have multiple targets from trucks to tanks. Unless you hit the vehicle with a direct hit it will not destroy it. For instance in mk20-test2.miz I have two vehicles approximately 20 feet apart. Only the vehicle that was "directly hit" by the MK20 was destroyed even though both vehicles were well within the Cluster dispersal area. I have tried from 500ft to 1200ft dispersal. It really appears as though it is a mk82 with a mk20 skin; that is what it looks like after the update today. mk20_test.trk mk20_test2.trk
  3. FYI, if they are not already aware of this issue ED will most likely request a trackfile so it can help them figure out what is going on.
  4. Try the MK20s, they are the ones that got the buff today and I had no trouble destroying a BTR80, SMERCH, T-72 and a T-90 with 2*MK20s each.
  5. This week is the Open Beta update, Stable will have to wait until next week as is "par for the course."
  6. MK20s got a buff, CBU99s seem like they did not. I dropped a pair of MK20s each on a BTR80, T-72, T-90, SMERCH and all were destroyed. The T-90 took a bit of time to "cook" but black smoke was coming out immediately.
  7. Your internet speeds are pointless, you can only download as fast as it is served. Ideally you want to be one of the first to start the download to get the best speeds. I have Gig service as well and unpacking the download for install took longer than actually downloading it for me.
  8. Xtacy, either you found a bug or they aren't fully implemented. I can confirm they are not engaging. You will want to post a bug report with a track file attached.
  9. Where you within the launch parameters of the missile system?
  10. Radar is much more improved in single player over the previous update. Thanks ED.
  11. Burst height "VT" has worked for quite a few weeks now. Today we are supposed to get CBUs with a little buff.
  12. Today is Beta update day, aka Christmas, no hotfix will be released today unless a major game breaking bug is introduced with today's update. Wags has already stated the radar will be better with this weeks update, that does not mean there will not be ongoing issues.
  13. I'm sure a good portion of you have the email by now: https://www.oculusconnect.com/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=crm&utm_campaign=1&utm_term=O2&utm_content=oc5preevent&utm_emailid=446
  14. Square is friendly, diamond is hostile.
  15. Well let us know. I, personally, don't believe it will be worth it - hope I am wrong. The recent benchmarks that have come out have really soured me to this series.
  16. Raytracing still needs to be supported by the developer for its benefits to be seen. ED/Wags have already stated they are not planning to implement support - I believe they are going to wait on Vulcan which will have native support as well. DLSS also needs to be supported by the developer. The developer needs to reach out to Nvidia and provide them whatever data they need to build the DLSS database for a particular game. I would not hold your breath for this support; it may come - one day.
  17. There are plenty of SAMs that will shoot you down before you can use your ATFLIR targeting pod to engage a ground target. If mission designers built missions correctly, you would never make it to a target without SEAD/DEAD support.
  18. Yep, you guys are right, totally forgot about needing the right engine on for hydraulics. After reading this article, there may not be any options if both engines are out: https://pilotonline.com/news/military/article_b6d39b36-57d6-5142-96d5-568f1d58f764.html
  19. Try turning on your APU so you have power for hydraulics.
  20. Awe, somebody had their feelings hurt. A pilot will leverage their strengths and try to exploit the weaknesses of their adversary. Everything you mentioned can be overcome. Maybe you should stick to game mode.
  21. Radar bugs aside, the Hornet is already on par with other fighters in DCS - not equal but on par. If you believe it’s not then no amount of systems or subsystems will make you a better pilot.
  22. Wed is just around the corner; they indicated they have it fixed internally already so we don't have long to wait.
  23. There's a discussion on reddit covering this and most believe optimizations need to take place for the 8k to truly have a better image with upscaling. ATM the 5k+ is the better option. Yes.
  24. I doubt it; I can see JHMCS and LTWS by Oct/Nov. Full IFF will come around the time we get the SA page and LINK-16 integration. Since we haven't heard a lot about it, I don't imagine it is close to implementation - I'd love to be wrong, I just don't think it is "close."
  25. I doubt you will see A/A systems complete prior to implementing other features. There are so many systems and subsystems that make up the entire "A/A mode" that it doesn't make sense for everything else to be put on hold. So my take is that the guy working on the A/A radar is not the same guy working on the SA page nor the one working on HARM implementation, etc... So let people work on their feature-set and deploy them as they are ready regardless of other systems; unless those other systems are a dependency of course.
