  1. Right, but I believe the actual verbiage on the knob is UFC.
  2. This is correct. There is a knob to change it between backup mode, UHF panel, and UFC or DED. At least I think it was labeled as UFC.
  3. Nope, I have the same problem or one similar. So when I run the same mission with the Hornet, I can change FREQ to either tanker and "talk" to them just fine. Change the player aircraft to F-16 and it will only work with Texaco. Mission Summary: Texaco 225MHz Arco 229 MHz I can tune to Arco in the Viper and access it via the menu items, had to re-enable them for the test; I normally have my menu disabled. Even when I try to use VA to contact Arco, it "defaults" to Texaco. Even when I say ARCO [pause] APPROACHING FOR REFUEL it pulls up Texaco. So there is clearly something wrong. Either there is an issue with VA // DCS or a combination of VA // SRS // DCS. Trackfiles attached. ///EDIT/// I just disabled SRS and tried again, no change. So for some reason VA is not understanding what happens when the pilot changes their frequency. (in the Viper) This is an example of when I tune the radio to 229MHz and talk to ARCO: (Again, for some reason it is defaulting to Texaco) AAR_F16_Fail.trk AAR_F18_Success.trk
  4. The laser code in the bomb defaults to 1688, at this time the code on the bomb can only be changed via the Mission Editor.
  5. You can input waypoints but they cannot yet be added to a flight plan - so partially for now.
  6. TMS Up will designate a target on the radar page.
  7. That might be a bug, try reproducing it, saving a trackfile and uploading it to a new thread for ED to take a look at.
  8. May not be that, you could have a double binding of that button which could be causing your issues. IF being in DF/MRM mode is the problem.
  9. There's really no need to, leave them in auto and the flight control system will take care of the rest.
  10. Make sure you are not in Dogfight mode or Missile Mode, that is what it sounds like based on what you just typed.
  11. Before you start up the jet, switch both comms to SQL. I forget the names of the knobs but they are below the throttle right behind the comm1 and comm2 knobs.
  12. I'm pretty sure attitude hold works as well, the roll and stp don't. At least I am pretty confident I have used attitude hold on a previous flight.
  13. Also when we get the ability to change the contrast, brightness, etc... this should make them easier to read.
  14. If you have your CMDS system turned on, Flip the switch for the Chaff && Flare, then turn the program button to 1-4, finally turn the last dial (forgot the name) to MAN. Now you will press CMS forward to deploy Chaff && Flare based on the program that you have set. Eventually we will have the ability to adjust what each program does according to our preferences for a particular mission.
  15. No, I am an asshole to people that deserve it. This is hyperbole at its finest. Just casually browsing the forums, watching the YouTube Videos and even checking out FB posts for JUST THE VIPER you would have these details. Or you can simply do a search before you post something. Or you could post a simple, "hey, I haven't seen it mentioned, is this something that is in the works?" and then you would get the type of response you want. To justify "hey this is what's wrong, when is it going to be fixed" is a complete distortion of reality.
  16. What is 11Y on your mission? For single player missions you have to save the trackfile upon getting the Menu to where you can choose to return to the ME. Without a track file, unfortunately, nothing will come of your post. ED would need have the to verify 11Y is setup correctly, distance, activation, etc... before they could even start to look at a potential bug.
  17. Shit happens....
  18. What you are doing versus what you think you are doing: Whining that something is not correct versus creating an actual bug report. Whining about items that are already reported or have already been discussed by ED.
  19. Press the A/A or A/G button a second time to return to NAV mode.
  20. ED needs to come up with a litmus test for EA modules. If you can't pass the test, you have to wait until release to be able to purchase the module....
  21. Ensure your aircraft is set to "Player" instead of client. You will now be able to connect and take on fuel. If, for any reason, you disconnect the bug will return and it will immediately disconnect you after that. You will have to restart the mission if you wish to try AAR again.
  22. You can try to manually download it. Open CMD prompt (assuming you did a default install) copy and paste or type: cd C:/Program Files/Eagle Dynamics/DCS World OpenBeta/bin Then type or copy and paste: DCS_Updater.exe install F-16C
  23. You may need to restart DCS or log out and log back in so your account recognizes that you bought it.
  24. Yep, trying to download the Viper, DCS crashes - DCS OB was already updated. Going to try a Repair.
  25. DCS patch is around 297MB for me. Will comment on the Viper soon.
