You'll probably get mixed responses, I tried it out for a bit and had some fun with it. The version I had was buggy though, floating planes on the tarmac, had some issues with configuring my X52 with that copy as well. I didn't get to take it very far, but somewhat enjoyed what I did get to play. I'm sure there is a method to download/install and run properly, there is a pretty active freefalcon community. I didn't really give it enough time simply because time isn't a luxury I have these days. I say go for it...you might REALLY enjoy it.

Vatsim is super cool, but you have to really be up to speed with a lot of the nomenclature and procedures of true aviation. It does take some digging to get the info you want. I'm by no means an expert, I looked into it, but unfortunately time doesn't really allow me to experience it full on. It will definitely bring an element of immersion and realism to those C172 or Twin Otter flights (or heavies if you're flying commercial aviation). The deep you dig, the more you'll find! The experience I had with it was second to non from an online general aviation standpoint. If you're into that, you won't be disappointed.

It has nothing to do with battlefield, but it has to do with the number of FPS and their popularity. It's a movie and being made into a first person shooter.

Battlefield 3 Battlefield Los Angeles (the video game version of the movie) Bulletstorm There are more definitely, but those are all ones I"ve seen posted over the past few weeks in various forums. They're NOT going away that's for sure.

COD United Offensive was a great game, COD 2 was also great. COD 3 was forgettable really compared to UO and 2, but MW changed the game. After that everything has started to feel the same I feel. Day of Defeat was my favorite WWII shooter though for awhile, loved the gun firing sfx. I hate those post process effects, turned them off in ARMA 2 (look like HELL) and haven't turned back. The gameplay for these games remains 100% the exact same, the skins and environments seem to be what's changing.

Not sure if this will help but; There's a circle piper that comes up when you select vikhr's. Once you've targeted and locked up your target, you must place the target in that circled piper come within range and LA should come up (Launch authorize) then you should be able to fire. Note you have to hold down the fire weapon button for a second or two before the missile will actually fire. Hope that helps, are you getting "LA" on your hud when in range?

I hated that motion blur as well, not sure if you guys noticed it. When you move the mouse around quick it blurs (ARMA 2 does that as well, turned that $**T off. I simply don't notice a motion blur effect when I'm looking around frantically. That's a camera effect not a physiological one.

yeah "meh" is how I described it as well. Took longer to download and install/register than it did in actual playing time... DELETED The engine looks great, but found it very hard to enjoy it, what with all the cloaking devices and super jumps and other uber human abilities. Just not my cup of tea I guess.

Not DCS related, more of a third party thing, but still cool. I wish I had the time to do this course online; http://www.joint-ops.com/php2/index.php IL-2 training/Rise of Flight and will most likely do Cliffs of Dover after release. Ground school, flight school, weapons training. Looks pretty hardcore. Check it out, might be of SOME interest. It's free of any cost, just requires time. 3 hours a few times a month per course.

That's great guys thanks so much! No problems with setting up the HOTAS with Black Shark or A-10C? Are they connected at all VIA USB/power cables? Or do each control unit plug into a separate USB hub? I would love to get the TM Hog, but I'm just having a hard time coming to terms with spending $500 (plus Canadian taxes + shipping + rudder pedals) ... plus I'm only slightly skeptical because it's a new product and not sure how it will run over 2 years. I'm sure it will be fine...it's probably the price that's keeping me cautious at this point. I can get a complete CH setup for $400 all in...vs $750 for the warthog. I still have some time so that's helpful. Thanks again guys for input...+1's to everyone ;)

Hey guys, just looking for some input on CH products. I'm looking at the pro pedals, throttle and "flightstick". I currently have the X52 which has served me well since 2007, but it's coming to a point where i need a new setup. The TM WH looks great, but I'm still unsure about longevity and it comes at a high price here in Canada when you factor in taxes/shipping and rudder pedals. Not interested in a motion sensor stick X65 and the Logitech FFB and weak reviews have turned me off that one. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance! :joystick:

What about CH?? EDIT: hmm i guess they don't have a dual throttle.

LOMAC has Ubi attached to it, DCS is independent so moving lomac stuff into DCS would probably cost ED some independence or some copywrite fees. Given the fact it took 9 months to incorporate Black Shark into LOMAC it will probably take longer to incorporate A-10C into lomac because the changes are more substantial.
