Yeah that online 24 hours thing is bull s. I don't think that "solution" will last very long as it will hurt sales no doubt. I'm not buying it because of it, I've seen a lot of backlash as well. Demo and open beta are different, check out combatsim.com in the fps section, they may have a link to the pc demo. I feel like I read about the demo not long ago for pc, but I could be mistaken. Try before you buy, big fan of that philosophy.

That doesn't make sense, why could I 360 play the demo without purhase. That is a bs philosophy to undertake. Look for the demo vs the "open beta"? Demo should be free hands down.

The pc version is definitly optimized which is nice to feel you didn't get a full console port. Graphics and sound are all going to be far superior on pc version.

Bigger maps and vehicles which is also better than mw2. I can't believe how fast I got tired of mw2. I play these on 360 because I keep my pc gaming to flight sims/simulation type of stuff. Bad company 2 so far beats mw2 and I've only played the demo (IMHO). Although i feel my desire for fps is weakening substantially. Look what they did o flashpoint, bastardized it big time. I will most likely purchase bad comp 2, but not righ away. Fsx superbug first :)

Agreed, i'm having more fun with it, better coms would be nice as well. I hate when the game exits the mission when you've succeeded. Happened a few timeswhile dogfighting 109's. Mission isn't over until i'm safely on the ground thanks ;).

I think you mean 9 months not 6 months, I never saw 6 months anywhere, nothing takes 6 months ;). They also changed the a10 from an a10A to a10C which is huge in my opinion. Like you said, I'd rather them take their time and we can get the most bang for our buck instead of just another A +++ flight model. They've also got a few projects on the go, so hopefully some work is being done on the third module?? I'm sure you won't be disappointed :)

Seriously looking forward to this release. Where will the superbug online players fly I wonder. I hate fsx substitutions for third part aircraft. Anyone flying the fs9 version will to show us fsx guy the ropes (assuming you get it for fsx) :D

You're right, maybe he means second combat mission. The first mission is more of a familiarization flight.

well when it comes to sims I am pretty easy going. I don't like ww1 aviaion so I won't buy rise of flight, but I love helo's, fighters and strike aircraft and I really don't have a preference as long as it's an accurate representation of x aircraft. I understand the 50 and 52 would make a great match, but I've been here a long time and have read enough times why the 52 won't happen unless by some miracle all that classified info is released to dcs and the rights to publish a consumer product. The ka50 isn't a super popular aircraft, dcs would have probably made more money had they done longbow, but it would have compromised their fidelity model. There are obvious compromises we should consider to get high fidelity flight models. Our favorite modern day aircraft for one. No disrespect, I understand your points.

Ai will always just be ai. Far from perfect in all situations especialy combat. Hopefully your rl sead pilots in fc 2.0 won't be so quick to drop their stores. ;)

I respectfully disagree. I don't want to continue to ask why no 52, but I'll take whatever dcs decides to produce. It's not about what I want, but I'll take what I can get.

That's not really our problem right now. That's for Ed to figure out should they choose to model it. I don't think they'd release it if it was more harm than good. The beta testers did a pretty good job on black shark. If they do go for it and you personally don't like the ai (nobody is ever happy with artificial intelligence because intellignce is effing hard to code) you can fly exclusively with two people. Get a friend, play your rolls and enjoy! Two players are always better than one. If you don't have that second player as often as you'd like, fly a10 or ka-50 until they're available, or do flight practice with the apache. It's all good, longbow 2 was fun years ago so pretty damn sure dcs ah-64a will be a blast.

F-22 or F-35 sim isn't going to happen from DCS anytime soon or if at all. It's been discussed numerous times on the forum and the reasons why have been given. You're new so you've probably missed it, but it boils down to there being too much classified information to make a high fidelity sim. The only way you'll get to fly one of those birds soon is to knock the socks off the USAF so they feel you are worthy to let you train to fly one. We're talking the best of the best of the best.

I'm biased to either aircraft, I'll take a Russian/American/European airplane or helicopter simply because it's a DCS aircraft. But it's been stated a few times by guys in the know that the selection for aircraft isn't a balancing game as much as it is dependent on information/contract work from the military. If no CIS country requires a helicopter simulator and a NATO country needs an AH-64A trainer then we'll most likely see an AH-64A, at least that's how I've interpreted the process. If they do go fighter, I can see the radar work being a large additional step in the development process. KA-50/A-10C don't have radars to paint targets just some very A/V equipment to ping targets ;). If I were to have my way though, I'd ask for the Incom T-65. :smilewink::smilewink::smilewink: Sorry I had an xwing/tie figher moment there. ;)

No offense to the A model or anything, but once the C model becomes available that pretty much means the A model will be dead to me. I'm sorry A model, I know you were one of the first, but C has a ton of new features plus a 6DOF cockpit...nothing personal. You understand. Don't worry KA-50 and SU-25/25T I'll always have time for my two Russian loves.

I think you need something heavier. Bridges blow in lockon so they should go in black shark. I haven't tried personly in black shark yet.
