How much new work would need to be done to model accurate a/g and a/a radar? Multirole fighters would be awesome, but I assume they'd be a boat load of work to get working perfectly. It will be interesting to finally hear what they plan to release post a10, the hype alone for a module 2+ years away is already out of contol heheh. AH64A would be cool, i like the idea of gunner /pilot positions. Tracker ir and full screen flir would be a great way to locate and track/kill targets. I like the idea of two in the same pit as well, interesting hunter seeker dialogue and tactics. Pilot can really concentrate on flying tactically while gunner can be searching for targets. I've said it before though, I'll take anything dcs puts out....Russian, American, european :)

Cockpit at night with the guage glow looks really nice. The cockpit is the nicest looking VC I've seen from an fsx ad on. Dying to find the tanker and give air to air refueling a go.

Pretty cool so far, once I've got all systems up though major fps hi on my system. Major, I've had to drop almost everything down to get a decent frame rate. Going to see what else I can do, I'm due for a new system, but I'm going to wait until dcs a10 comes out for that ;). Need to play around a bit more.

I am installing at home BEFORE work.....in just enough time to load it up ONCE and not touch anything.....have to quit and leave! lol...what I do to myself sometimes ;)

What's all this "we" stuff buddy? You'r not speaking on my behalf as I'm happy to wait until whenever for the comparability patch to be ready. There no fail my friend, you fail. Take some time to think before you post on the complexity of what's being done here instead of crying out like a child my god.

All I fly right now is the SU-25 and 25T...the T was always my favorite in LOMAC simply because of the advanced flight model. I'm enjoying it even more and love the steps forward with 2.0.

That's the great thing about DCS, failures or problems with your helicopter are usually occur for a reason and there are almost always preventative measures to take against it :).

But it and send give the lucky fellow the link to the download site and key code. Super simple.

I'm not sure I'd say it's going strong...but it's definitely going it seems. Although everything visually to me now appears outdated where as in 2006 it blew my socks off...of course I was a wee lad back in those days ;)

I don't think the lazer the V travels down has the range of motion the camera does so you have to navigate your target inside that circle and press/hold fire button. That's how the VICK is modeled in Black Shark and I'm assuming that's how they're fired (more realistic).

The good news is it will most likely just come OUT. As did F.C 2...just CAME out...BAM! No "it will be available on Friday or Wednesday or tomorrow". I actually like it that way ;)

Producer notes were the BEST. For me they got me through the manual startup (shortcut key if you want to skip all that) and a number of other things. I have a laptop and set it up next to my desktop and watched the video's on youtube paused and copied the movements to get the motor skills down. Once you've got that in the bag you can learn more about what exactly you're doing or just keep it a memorize startup. It was the easiest way for me to observe and repeat. It is quite challenging so don't expect to master it over night :)...but that's all part of the fun.

The key issue here for this patch is that it works 100% or as close to it as possible. It won't be long now, besides this gives you enough time to setup FC 2.0 to the best of it's ability :). I will be WELL worth the wait no doubt. :)

I like when green pilots are on servers I'm flying in...I enjoy teaching, but I definitely do not know everything KA-50 related. Even when I was green I flew and still fly most often online. It helps if you announce you're green and people will most likely leave you alone. I had a LOT of questions answered in muliplayer from a few helpful individuals which really helped. If there is a Team Speak running for the server, I advise you to join it even if you're a "noob" because if you do have questions its easier to ask directly without having to type. Obviously if you respect the rules of the server and you get banned anyway is in no way a reflection of the community as a whole, but more the individual running their server. I advise newbie pilots to number ONE learn to fly the helo. Learn to land, transition from hover to flight and back again, turns etc. If you can fly the beast on mental autopilot it will free up much needed attention for target hunting and killing :) GOod luck guys

Companies play by the rules while allowing us to bend them to our liking. Excellent philosophy to follow. On that note, do I just copy and paste those values onto the server.lua? Forgive me as my programming and self modding skills are very limited.

I lowered my tv monitor rez down to 256 to help with the fps hit...it has somewhat. I'm sure this will get addressed by a modder someplace. Also take a bit of a hit when i'm on the runway taxing and there are 5 other SU-25's taxing as well. But other than that she runs really well, just a few things which make drastic hits for me.

I had a BLAST playing this weekend. Thankfully the weather here was CRAP and we didn't have much to do around the house so I was able to spend LOTS of time flying. I LOVE FC being inside the BS world. The mission briefings, UI, multiplayer server (F U HYPERLOBBY) SU25 model etc etc etc are all great. I'm even finding the missions in the new campaigns extremely entertaining. Lots of cool scenario's involving KA-50's and SU-25's supporting one another. Anyway very happy with my purchase and this plus BS should tide me over until info on the HOG starts pouring in :).
