dali Why did you prohibit printing on your checklist?
-
Rudel_chw Thanks. I got it to work, but I have not figured out how to set it up in the controls as I do not use target, etc. I tried RS Mapper but that does not use POV hat switches. I will think on this some more.
-
Rudel_chw I get confused on the instructions for making a snap view. Could you please give me the steps for one of them?
-
Luiz Renault Other than the 4 view ports that I located, are there any others available now?
-
Luiz Renault See below for an article written by Capt Zeen on how to program using Helios. Capt Zeen - Creating Helios profiles from scratch using the generic interface sanc2775 Not sure what you want, but here is where my config file for the monitor is located: Eagle Dynamics>DCS world openbeta>config>MonitorSetup.
-
Luiz Renault To get the view ports to appear on the second screen, I had to modify my monitor config file (attached) and also I had to add some lines to each init.lua file like the following so that the monitor config file and the init.lua files had the same view port names. dofile(LockOn_Options.common_script_path.."ViewportHandling.lua") try_find_assigned_viewport("[use same name as in monitor config file]") I have attached an example of the left mfd init file. See the last lines. I would like to have your key commands for the UFC and the two MFDs so I can code the buttons on my profile. Key codes are the easy way to work with Helios. There is another hard way to do it with Helios, but I could not get it to work. Helios is a fantastic FREE program. You can learn more about it at http://www.captzeen.com/helios/index.asp and his discord channel. 2_monitors-SuperT.lua CMFD_Left_init.lua

This is the start of my Helios profile the the A29. I have located 4 viewports so far and have them displayed on the profile. All of the buttons and dials are just for show at this time. My next stage will be to try to code the MFD buttons. However, as there is no key commands for them, this will take some time.
-
Mine are about 15 years old. The rudder is fine, but I had to unassign the toe brakes as they tended to stick.
-
Changing the date did the trick.
-
As it will be awhile until CaptZeen creates his Helios profile for the Apache, I thought I would just create a simple Helios profile of the two MFDs and Keypad viewports for the pilot. Of course nothing has been programmed yet.

baltic_dragon Oh, well, guess that I will have to relearn it by myself for awhile. I do have one question. On page 149 of the new manual, it states that "12. Code Dial. No function." in reference to the IFF panel. However, in the lesson, you are told to turn the code dial to a specific letter. The dial does turn the cockpit. I am confused.

OK. The trim problem has come back again. I don't know why. I calibrated the stick with the Virpil software and the windows game controller calibration and the plane still trims way to one side in the landing tutorial. I jumped into the A10 and had no problems.
-
baltic_dragon I have a suggest for you. With the new Tank Killer, many of us are learning or relearning the A10. To have to wait many more months for the rest of the missions is a real waste as we need them now. What if you packaged the first 5 or 6 missions and issued them now for the full price with an understanding that the early buyers would get the rest of the missions when they are ready? Your reputation is sufficient that most of us would not be concerned about your issuing the balance of the missions. Your thoughts?

The view ports can be made to appear on a second monitor. Now all I have to do is use Helios and see if the MFD buttons can work on the second monitor. -
Re-calibrating the joystick was the answer. Just did the landing tutorial and had no issues with the roll. I wonder why this plane was the only one that had this issue.
-
I think I may have solved the problem. I have a Virpil base and a TM WH stick. So I downloaded and calibrated the base with the latest software from Virpil and I think that may have solved the problem. Only the future will tell for sure. Still testing.
-
I just ran some tests. My joystick worked perfectly as a trimmer in the A10c. When I again tried the Viggen, it did not seem to control the trim of the plane. So I deleted my x axis on the joystick and put in on one of my throttle levers and the control was much better but difficult to use. My trimmer commands are correct. Interesting.
-
I just tried the landing tutorial and had to give up because of the roll. As of now, I cannot fly the viggen so I guess it is back to the A10.
-
This is the first track that I ever did. uncontrolled roll issue.trk

Captain Orso I think you are probably right, however, as I also use Helios, my second screen has the cockpit and it covers up the KB so I have to do a little dance to get everything right.
-
I double checked my axis commands and no double entries. That would have been a great find but alas not the case. This is happening all the time now since I reinstalled the module. I am going to re-reinstall again later and see what happens. No unbalanced load used.
