You need to set: CP/PD (will be set automatically for landing waypoints), CP being the TRUE heading of the runway, and PD set to 3.0 ILS frequency QFE (given by AI tower but you'll have to convert it in hPa ) following thread will help with QFE and CP

With option enabled and waypoint 00 selected as PREP: Select ALCM Click VAL on PCN Wait for alignment (1mn30), "Pret" light will get steady on PCN Select NAV Done
-
Yes indeed ! We feel the new 'French touch' added in the team I like being chauvinist
-
there's a new option (that has replaced the old one) to enable in the special option to allow ALCM on waypoint 00. If not enabled, you'll have to do a full alignment. ALCM has to be performed with this option enabled, you can't start anymore without any alignment EDIT: from the 2.7 update sticky post The “INS is always aligned” checkbox in the special option menu of the mirage have been replaced by a “Fast alignment (ALCM) ready” checkbox. With it checked, you will now need to do at minimum an ALCM before moving the aircraft for your INS to work and you can start the ALN or ALCM on the BUT 00 as the aircraft did not move since the last time it was stopped.

Yes it does, and it will help you doing so. But it seems that right now, as you described, it might struggle a bit to do so if your initial interception course is way off. It might need to be fine tuned. Try it with a slight deviation from the radial, to see it working properly. Then increase the deviation.
-
Tried it yesterday, works fine if you have a correct initial interception course, but that's true that it can send you all over the place sometimes if your initial interception course is way off.

reported already in bug section

I was initially just asking TG to share a roadmap for 2021 if they have one to share Could be simple like "we'll be focusing on data gathering, 3D modeling, and working on the FM" for example. It's a shame we haven't heard about TG since Christmas 2020, but i guess they have nothing new to share yet.

Razbam is working a lot on updating the Mirage lately and quite some updates will be release in the 2.7 Open Beta version (see dedicated post). User manual will be updated later on to cover all those updates. It's still up to date enough to learn the basics (just note that alignment procedure will be updated with 2.7, see notes in dedicated post)

Lot of us would do. Razbam knows it, they also know that they would be probably able to benefit from a partnership with French Air Force, hence having access to data quickly, they know that a lot of stuff implemented on the M2000C can be used as -5F is "just" an avionics and weapons system upgrade of the 2000C. So it just make sense to do it, now they just have to be willing to put resource on it. Which seems is not the case yet. But as they have a new French coder working on the 2000C, who knows what he'll be working on once the 2000C is finished...

[PLANNED] FBW G-Limiter AA else CHARGES not working as expected
Steph21 replied to =36=Witcher's topic in Bug Reports
Ok so that might be linked to Target. I stopped using it a while ago. Anyway, here is the bind for FBW Limiter toggle: "FBW G-Limiter Mode TOGGLE". Just map it to your OSB on the Thrusmaster MFD, and you will be fine. -
[PLANNED] FBW G-Limiter AA else CHARGES not working as expected
Steph21 replied to =36=Witcher's topic in Bug Reports
This kind of bind is normally used for 2 position switch and allow to mimic the real switch on the aircraft. So it works as expected. There's another bind that is doing what you want and that I'm currently using. Should be used with push button.I'll get you the name. -
And it should be getting a lot better with the next update. I haven't been that excited for a Mirage 2000 update since a long time !
-
It's enabled by CADR switch on VTB. It's WIP stuff that shouldn't have made his way to open beta according to Elmo. Don't bother with it yet
-
Never had this issue, i approach on landing AOA and flare at 30ft AGL, putting FPM at the end of runway while reducing gently to idle. Be sure to look at the MLW table provided in the manual. You'll have to be more careful if coming back with too much fuel.

Progress pictures on the Eurofighter Typhoon
Steph21 replied to DashTrueGrit's topic in DCS: Eurofighter
Indeed, but we can speculate With the quality of TrueGrit's team, from coders to SME's, and knowing now that they look to focus on Air to Air only for Early Access, i would say that end Q4 2022 latest looks achievable. Depends how deep they will go with avionics for Early Access. Would be nice to get some regular WIP pictures though (like a monthly pic), like updated external model pics, or some WIP of systems/avionics. -
you can thank Dassault too for such a great plane and Fly by Wire system
-
Never saw them animated neither

They mentioned they would be interested if it can be done quickly (ideally Summer 2020), which hasn't happened. They also saw how long it take to have a 2000C working properly, which is still not the case several years after release. This was a great opportunity for us indeed as development could have been done a lot quicker with French Air Force inputs, and having the M2000-5F sharing a lot of common systems with the M2000C. Unfortunately, it didn't work out as expected. So now, if M2000-5F is ever done, it won't be before 5 years or more at best IMO, considering all modules already announced by Razbam. So I'd rather have the French Air Force to start working with another 3rd party (like Heatblur) to get the Rafale done in DCS now instead (yeah i know, i'm dreaming)

And now INS issue is on stable, and updates cycle will be longer until 2.7: great....

The Old Eclair box not showing is intended, but what you described should clearly be reviewed and could be considered as a bug indeed, or at least not working as IRL. Elmo already had feedback from the SME that confirmed it. The Eclair pod on the M2000C carries 2 racks of 8 flares and one rack of 18 Chaff. Currently, DCS ignores totally the Eclair Pod as you described So we should have 112 chaff and 16 flares without the pod, and 130 chaff and 32 flares with the pod equipped. Old post from Zeus about it: Posted April 24, 2016 The Éclair pod is a small box placed in the brake chute storage bin. It carries 18 more chaff and 16 more flares. The amount of chaff and flares is fixed and cannot be modified. The Éclair-M is a new pod, made by the company who built the Éclair as a replacement. AFAIK it wasn't approved for use in the AdA until recently. It has more capacity and unlike the Éclair, the amount of chaff/flares can be tailored to the specific mission. The M-2000C never carried the Éclair-M, only the Éclair. The -5 and the D are the ones who have the Éclair-M among their load options.

TOP is already in.
-
Yes, this whole part need to be reviewed (flare count and eclair pod). This has been reported and Elmo already got feedback from the SME. Just need to be corrected now. You mean on the right? It's part of the SPIRALE suite. It does take into account additional flares/chaff coming from the eclair pod. The old eclair box that was on the left of the cockpit has been removed a while ago when cockpit has been updated.

You mean latest OB release i guess

'RD' mode is still not implemented, and AFAIK Razbam never answered on whether it will be implemented one day or not
