I like the way it is currently. I can understand the need in real squadrons, but in DCS it would have more drawbacks than benefits IMO

Hi TrueGrit, any roadmap for 2021 to share with us for the Typhoon? Curious on how you're progressing with data gathering, 3d modelling, systems coding and what is planned for this year.

I might add that the MEM/XFR behaviour around buffer memory is described in Razbam Manual, page 83: 10. MEM/CLR BUTTON. This will show the value recorded in the buffer memory (can be a channel or frequency). If keypad was used to enter frequency or channel, the button displays CLR option, used to delete the previous input. 12. XFR / VAL BUTTON. XFR (TRANSFER) allows to return to the previously used channel or frequency. Whenever a new channel is used or new manual frequency is entered and validated, the previous one is placed in the buffer memory. You can switch between them using the XFR button. If keypad is used to enter frequency or channel, the button displays VAL, used to validate that input.

A nice comparison video (2 parts):

It might be linked a bug i've reported already, where whereas you're supposed to have 16 flares available by default, you can release only 14: Seems to have a core issue with flare qty

Seems you're not in AG attack mode in your screenshot, if you were the VTB wouldn't look like that. That's a reason why diamond is not appearing. I agree with Rayak, looks like HUD is in test mode (Speed and Altitude in big fonts and not aligned with heading scale, gun cross appearing whereas it shouldn't with bombs selected and MAG/CAN master modes not selected...). Another reason why diamond is not appearing

Lockheed Martin To Integrate Sniper ATP Onto UAE Air Force Mirage 2000s

The 2000-9 isn't an upgrade of the 2000C. Let's have the M2000C finished first ! -

Progress pictures on the Eurofighter Typhoon

Are those shots still from a placeholder model ? Will we have the opportunity to see some first pics of the 3D external model done by TG for Christmas for example ? We have seen 3D model pics from the gears and the cockpit only so far IIRC -
Razbam (Prowler if i remember correctly) mentioned a while ago now that they would do it. I'm not sure it's still in their plans French Air Force was very interested with it if it could be delivered quickly, to use it like they use the 2000C to train their pilots. But it seems it's not the case anymore for whatever reasons (probably because they realized that it wouldn't be delivered quickly). The was the only opportunity to have it done quickly. So now, if done one day, it won't be before years as several other modules are in the loop (Super Tucano, Mig 23, F-15E, and some others). And if i have to wait 5-10 years, i'd rather have the Rafale. But the Typhoon is coming, so i'll be enjoying the 2000C until it's released, and it will make me wait until the -5 or the Rafale if one of them is ever done in DCS

As mentioned in the latest interview, TrueGrit is in touch with MBDA regarding implementation of the meteor, so it's not validated yet. As for autothrottle, why wouldn't it be in ? -
Nice, hope we will hear more about it from Razbam. Should be useful coupled with DO to help with reattack after a pump/abort. And could also help for SA. Kinda hard to follow up new features implementation and bug fixing sometimes on the Mirage, as change logs provided with Open Beta update are not always listing all the stuff included in the update.

Thanks, good read.

TrueGrit, can we expect some news on the progress made on your Typhoon (data gathering/validation, 3D model, systems coding,...) before end of the year ? It has been a massive shitty year, but an update from you guys would make it a tiny less shitty ;)

Seems it works with FCLS in landing gain, so when landing gear are down or Air Refueling set to opened. In cruise gain, OFF position is not recognized Strange
-
It should be introduced with the new incoming F4 standard
-
It's like that since new dcs lighting implemented in 2.5.6 All modules are impacted afaik but some give the option to tune the gain in the controls. Not the case for the mirage. You do have a switch on right console that you can set to nvg, it will adjust some of the lighting for nvg use You can also adjust HUD brigthness with the scroll wheel near the switch use to turn on HUD display

Hi Elmo, you mean that based on AdA and SME feedback, the M2000C has no specific RWR symbology for SA-2 and SA-3 tracking radar? In current default file, 2 is used for SA-12 wich is not available in DCS, and 3 is not used. I guess SA-2 and SA-3 are shown as U on RWR currently. From what i understood from Zeus, he took the info provided by AdA and tweak the RWR symbol list to ajust it for assets modeled in DCS. I think that tweaking it a bit again and assign 2 to SA-2 and 3 to SA-3 would make sense, as currently 2 and 3 would never appear in DCS, whereas SA-2 and SA-3 are available as SAM assets. Personnal customisation is another story.
-
I feel exactly the same. They teased the Meteor in some screenshots, another European weapon. Still not confirmed officially though. Might also get some other MBDA weapons later on.

Only through ME still

Yes i've seen it, but it doesn't mean anything as you don't know what were shoot parameters, objectives of the tests, target parameters...etc Here is a working video, showing shots at low altitude (5000 ft for the shot from the Rafale), low range: Here is another short one, at higher altitude: But if you want to believe that MICA has only a 20km range at high altitude, i've no problem with it  Just be sure you're not talking about the VL-MICA, which has a 20km range as it's being fired from the ground. French Air Force is very happy with the MICA on their 2000-5 and Rafale. And they are now delighted to get the Meteor to work with the Rafale AESA radar. MICA NG will soon be available also and will be a good complement to the Meteor. But as "ATE" mentioned, we don't really care about the Typhoon in France. It doesn't fulfill the needs of our French Air Force and Navy, the Rafale does. Furthermore we are working with Typhoons, not against them. We are happy with our Rafale. If you are happy with your Typhoon, then everybody is happy :) i'll be happy to give the Typhoon a try in DCS, and then i'll be delighted to switch to the Rafale if it's ever implemented in DCS.
-
Way more, it's in the 60km range for IR version and 80km for EM version. Only the seeker changes between IR and EM version. Not talking of the MICA NG to come that will have a greater range.
