Did you ask for bogey dope? If it was just random awacs call they may not report the closest target. Bogey dope with give you BRA of closest target detected. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

This version of the Hornet doesnt use land based ILS only carrier ICLS. There is a mod in the user downloads section that adds ICLS to land bases. Haven't tried it yet. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

I would assume they would have trouble detecting terrain masking targets. During AWACS ambush missions I can usually mange to keep them off my RWR if I keep my belly in the weeds. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

[MISSING TRACK FILE] Errors in currently implemented systems
Darcwaynard replied to Mr. Wilson's topic in Bugs and Problems
Sasha, how many people should they have working for them? Are you a coder? Have you ever coded a system on a 4th generation fighter? Do you know how long its supposed to take? This is a (W)ork (I)n (P)rogress. If you haven't the patience for how long it takes for them to model these complex systems you should wait until the module is actually completed. These people take enough abuse from whiners and complainers who don't even have the decency to check the HORNET MINI UPDATES where it is stated over and over again how many engineers they have and what they are working on. I for one am overjoyed at the work these guys are doing and the fact that we get to be apart of the growth and development of it is a huge bonus. They could just as easily make us wait to have access until 2020 or whenever it is supposed to be finished. A simple bug post would have have been sufficient, but complaining about how many staff they have and how fast they work? Give me a break! -
Thanks Wags! I'll give that a try and report back.

I know the AI is dodgey at best when it comes to this sort of thing but does anyone know the best time to tell your flight to RTB when at the carrier? Last attempt I tried was 2 seconds after I entered the break I ordered 'flight RTB'. Once I trapped I hastily lifted the hook and folded wings, then I took a peak over my right shoulder and there was 2 already trapping and crashing into me spoiling my otherwise flawless mission. Any pointers would be appreciated! Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

Click off A/A to return to Nav mode. You will be able to select your SA page again. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

F-5E - Line of Sight / Reference from cockpit
Darcwaynard replied to gavilan_cl's topic in DCS: F-5E
I like to offset 45 degrees from the target. Track until its at the lower edge of the canopy near the rail and roll in. It's alot of trial and error. Practice with the F5 instant action ground attack on either NTTR or Caucasus for easy reset if you mess up. You will get a feel for it eventually. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk -
APU won't power radios. You have to request ground power and then turn on the correct switches on the ground power panel in front of the throttles. There is a legend on the left hand panel for which switches do what. Also the manual should have details on the ground power panel. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

No doubt that's what most people do anyway. Just saying a built in optional filter would be sweet. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

A step further would be a unit filter built into the ME to allow you to select eras or exact service dates. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

2 x Harms on outer pylons, 4 x Mk 83s on dual racks on inside pylons, 2 x Aim 120C on cheeks, Aim-9x on tips, centerline fuel tank. You'll be really heavy so best to unload the harms first and ditch the fuel tank if you get into a maneuvering fight. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

This shouldn't effect frame rate at all since it has absolutely nothing to do with graphics or display settings. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

Maybe a gig maybe less. Modules arent very large. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

My bad I was thinking of approach throttles. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

Go through the mini updates. Massive SA page Data link system. Jdam, jsow, more harm modes. Mumi page, MGRS coordinate system. FLIR. Magic carpet (I think). The list is long bit distinguished... It'll be a while. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

Also you probably are the only one that "hates it" lol. Get used to it and add it to the checklist. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

For the shutdown procedure you open them so the ground crew can access the inner workings. Same goes for the F-86. I imagine it relieves hydraulic pressure but don't quote me on that. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

What he said. Go look up some specs on the various missile types. Know your enemy! Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

You have to save the track file when you are on debrief screen. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

One would think since an emergency could happen with weight on wheels then its accurate. Maybe remap the button to your keyboard ya? ;) Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk

My bad I didn't realise I had left the f18 forum. What airframe are you using? Each should have their own comm volume setup which would be covered in their respective manuals. Sent from my LG-H812 using Tapatalk
