  1. Hi guys just wondering if there is a way to shut off the refueling probe light. When refueling at night with NVGs the basket lights up like a supernova once its within a couple feet of contact making it difficult to put the thing in the thing smoothly. Am I missing something with the lighting switches? Cheers DW Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  2. Atm you only need to press and release to toggle the laser on. Holding it seems to switch it on and off again. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  3. The mod is the only way until they implement MGRS in the Hornet. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  4. Likely because they aren't loud and if they made any noise it would be drown out by the pair of jet engines generating 200+ decibels plus the helmet/sealed cockpit. Its not like a Cessna where they are right beside your head and you have a lawnmower engine running the thing. ;) Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  5. It flashes B when you are above a certain altitude. An altitude at which you are too high for the radar altimeter to detect the ground. AFAIK. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  6. So I double checked and you can absolutely have waypoints below 30 meters. I added a waypoint near the coast on Caucasus @ 14 feet with no issues. I then hopped in the cockpit. Selected the waypoint, boxed precise, pressed wpdsg and did a jdam run on the target. Target destroyed. I wonder what is causing you to have issues with the altitudes below 30m? 7. That's weird. If I get a chance later this eve I'll do some tinkering in the ME. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  8. Select waypoint in editor. Enter 0 in altitude and deselect altitude. Waypoint will automatically set itself to ground elevation ASL. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  9. I just flew a mission in OB with 8 mk82se. Qty - 8 Mlt - 1 Int - 250ft Worked as advertised. Maybe post a track so someone can look at it. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  10. Yeah so totally user error on this one. I had throttle saturation set to 90 which wasn't allowing me to throttle back to idle. Thanks for helping me pinpoint the issue.
  11. Thanks for taking a look. If this is the issue my apologies for not checking the obvious throttle calibration more closely. I'll check it out tonight and see if that solves it. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  12. Here's the track. You'll have to sit through a rough Case 1 to get to the shutdown issue. I ran through my usual shutodwn checklist and used the PG map to best simulate where I first noticed the issue. I spammed both my HOTAS keybinds as well as the default keyboard shortcuts and as you can see no effect. Thanks NEWY! Hornet Shutdown Bug.trk
  13. No movement no. I'll try and get a track recorded later this eve. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  14. I should also mention I'm parking on the Stennis. I just realised that I wasn't getting the ground crew to put wheel chalks down. Would that prevent me from shutting down? Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  15. This wasn't an issue a few updates ago. Apologies if it's been reported and sorted already but I've noticed that I am unable to shut the engines down after taxiing to parking. Throttles are at ground idle and I'm running latest OB. Key binds are all fine. Thanks. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  16. Its up to you to determine how much fuel you need to GTFO of the AO and make it home. I like to set it around 5000 - 6000 pounds if you are flying over 100nm away from mother. That way if you need to bug out you can turn and burn away for a bit then use the FPAS page to set a profile to get yourself home with a buffer. If you have a tanker operating you can probably reduce bingo a bit. This is just the way I do it. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  17. Dudes, the button you click to pre purchase literally says "Pre-Sell" instead of "Purchase". Underneath the header it also says Pre-purchase. I suppose a flashing neon coloured sign would help. ;) Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  18. Yes. You can cycle through views while paused. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  19. Off hand I know the Hornet and F5 have wing flex already. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  20. The only thing I can think of is that track replays dont save function key view positions. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  21. I would assume it would be similar to the airforce style initial fix orbit at a given altitude at whatever DME works with that altitude. Basically a Case III but instead you're landing at a strip instead of the boat. Just my 2 cents. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  22. I'm not exactly sure on how it works irl but just out of curiosity did you make sure to enable tacan, DL and IFF on the UFC? Dont quote me but I'm pretty sure data link needs to have tacan enabled at the moment to work properly. This could have been cleared up somewhere else already as well. 23. Go to setting and make sure Unrestricted SAT/NAV is checked and you'll be able to use GPS and data link for Redfor. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  24. If it doesnt slave automatically, sensor select left to make mav soi then uncage. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
  25. Not sure if you're doing this already but with jdams make sure that you target the base of the target. If you aim directly at a tank for example there's a good chance you'll actually be targeting a point behind them somewhere. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
