This. Remember that top speeds are achieved at high altitude where the air is much thinner. HSI should display your ground speed next to the aircraft symbol. Get up to 40k and light the cans in a 5-10 degree dive and see how fast you can get. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

For something like this it would be helpful if you posted a track of your issue so we could see where the problem is. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

Hopefully this is addressed once the new cloud engine is implemented. I doubt they'll fix the existing clouds if they are going to scrap them eventually. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

What he said, it's a super hornet so not the same pylon setup. Dead giveaway is the difference in air intake design. Super hornet has more rectangular boxy intakes and the A-D hornet are smaller and rounded. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

If you're taxiing too fast the wheel will skid out and you'll stop turning. I'd check your speed before turning. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

[REPORTED] AGM65F+TGP locking issue (bug?)
Darcwaynard replied to Burner1111's topic in Bugs and Problems
+1. This has been an issue for a while. When you designate a target with the TGP the Mav will snap to the designated point and lock and unlock erratically. If you press undesignate/nws you will cancel the TGP lock but the mav will usually grab a solid lock afterwards. Pretty wonky behaviour. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -
I've been able to trim in landing config since release. Maybe double check your bindings. Little to no need to use the stick for pitch and once downwind in land config it's all throttle for altitude. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

+1 unless SME's confirm its realistic. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

Why is the Viper getting TWS before the Hornet?

Why is the Viper getting TWS before the Hornet?
Darcwaynard replied to key_stroked's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Its WIP. Hornet forum has evolved into crying babies forum. Patience people. We're going to get it, they are literally working on the Viper TWS so that when it's done it can be sent over to the Hornet and developed further. If you want to tell your friends not to buy it now then that's awesome, wait until it's actually finished otherwise take a tissue. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -
[LATER IN EARLY ACCESS] So, TWS implemented but step not working yet?
Darcwaynard replied to majapahit's topic in Wish List
Pretty sure it's not implemented yet. It's on the road map of FUTURE features. It seems that a lot of individuals are reading the list of planned features from the news letter and assuming they were implemented on Friday. Check patch notes for what was actually added. If TWS is partially working I wouldn't be surprised since it sounds like it's coming down the line very soon. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -
Have you double checked your keybindongs for the SCS switch? It should be working as daarseth describes. Flew earlier today and all is good. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

Soi should be selectable in Nav and A/G with SCS switch. In A/A SCS selects ACM modes. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

Is there an option for auto-trim or "trim to center"?
Darcwaynard replied to Larkis's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Autopilot heading hold may help it a bit but as has been discussed on a separate thread the charlie hornet FCS will not compensate for asymmetrical loads. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -
Remember when it was released as an Early Access product? Come on buddy this is getting old. The answer is to wait until a module is announced as completed before you buy it/use it. Don't complain about it while its EA. Also you may want to read Fridays newsletter as ED addresses this directly. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

Since the last update I cant launch Mavericks at all
Darcwaynard replied to Fisherman82's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Since the last update I cant launch Mavericks at all Make sure master arm set to ON. AG mode selected. Box Mav. In case of Mav F make sure its warms up fully. Also, I believe Echo Mavs are crossed out until they have locked onto something. Posting a track would help. -
Is it possible to get a beta update tonight?
Darcwaynard replied to kaoqumba's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Probably not until next Wednesday considering its usually every 2 weeks and we just had an OB update last week. Nice try though. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -
[ALREADY REPORTED]3rd and 4th MavF don't slew to TGP ?
Darcwaynard replied to oho's topic in Bugs and Problems
I ran a mission this morning and noticed that once I press target designate the mav slews to the target fine but it won't lock on properly until I press the press un-designate/nws. Not sure if this is proper behavior but it makes sense in that the mav is being caged to the TGP which is overriding its ability to lock on it's own. This applies to all 4 mavs that I fired. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk -
Well true if the case is that you know where the target location is then why turn the pod on in the first place. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
-
How does that defeat the purpose? LSS helps get you a bomb release solution on the targer rather quick instead of having to input coordinates. The authority of where the bomb hits is still on the JTAC/FAC anyway so no need to even use the laser on the pod. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
-
Is laser spot tracking working with the TGP yet? That would do the trick. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

Ah right I hadn't thought to check and see if they were stored in sequence 2. Next time! Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk

I'm not sure if its related the the campaign or not as it worked fine a few updates ago. I haven't run a cold start in any other missions in a while. The UPD - TCN - ACPT work for me last night on mission 4 vs F-4E. Just make sure to set your tacan to ON and 12X. The only odd thing I noticed is that the egress waypoints terminated after about half way so I had to fly visual for the last 35nm. It's still very much WIP I think we're a ways off until we get a fully simulated nav system. Sent from my SM-A530W using Tapatalk
