  1. I’ve got it on the slider, I don’t use the STO stop and I find it’s quite easy to fly like that. Just to offer a different viewpoint....
  2. Can ED comment regarding any physics around wingtip vortices on the refueling aircraft? Just a yes or no if this is intended on being modeled?
  3. Well played sir...well played!
  4. I changed mine manually a couple of months ago. Unfortunately I’ve got the RAAF version to look at.
  5. No doubt....free access, flies with wings folded. Paid on first day of early access....get to watch people fly media access with wings folded.
  6. Part of participating in early access and an ‘open beta’, which we all will be shortly, is that we help find bugs or other issues with the product. The lights are clearly dim, and I was going to post about the same fact. Why is it so offensive that something like this is brought up in the product forums? The lights seem difficult to see in a monitor, I’m thinking they’re going to be next to impossible to make out in VR. Hopefully, ED can reply that they’re: - a work in progress - acknowledge they’re too dim and they can correct it - a 3rd party mod can look at this an create a file for those that want a brighter meatball.
  7. Well that's disappointing... Radial works for waypoints, but as soon as you box the tacan you lose the line.
  8. If the HUD refresh rate between 4 and 5 Hz is the biggest issue we have with this module upon release, let’s take them to task on it. Otherwise, let’s get serious here.....
  9. It’s a known bug in the update. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=206985
  10. Anyone notice a lack of sound when firing the canon as compared to before the 2.5.1 update? Not sure if I’m losing my mind or if it’s changed.
  11. Just finished the campaign, fun all the way through. Forced me to use (and learn) dumb bombs. Thanks again! Sent you a PM Sedlo.
  12. Just completed the night mission, #3. Fantastic so far! Can’t wait to crank up mission 4.
  13. What about on a ‘dedicated’ server? I have a stand-alone computer I use as a server, so that my primary gaming rig doesn’t have to operate as the server as well as fly in. Would that make a difference?
  14. VR in the Viper with that beautiful bubble canopy would be pure awesomeness.
  15. Makes sense to me, having someone ‘multicrew’ in the backseat without the AI Jester being turned off. Just simply along for the ride, no interaction, just being able to watch how the pilot approaches things and how the AI RIO does things. Sounds like it might be cool for video recording and training purposes. No idea how much coding would be involved, if it’s any amount, I would rather see it released and this added as an option down the road.
  16. On for day time flying, no question. But turn it off if you're flying at night.
  17. I'm not an engineer....just curious, are you using corrected speed or IAS? I'm curious how this would work as well, it'd be great fun to try.
  18. Fantastic. Lots happening, great low level flying. Managed to get through first time, fueled on the way in and hit my push time within a couple of seconds :) Look forward to more missions!
  19. Somewhere in the Indian Ocean. Present day. Highway to the Danger Zone.
  20. It’s incapable of compensating for DA, weight, altitude, static port placement issues. There’s a reason it’s an ‘indicated’ airspeed, not a true or calibrated airspeed.
  21. Airspeed indicator has inherent flaws, and the AoA gauges fix one of them. For short field landings, the AoA gauge will be much better for your performance and safety margins than your AS gauge. It doesn't matter the DA, the weight or the bank angle. It's always right. https://www.ntsb.gov/safety/mwl/Pages/mwl7_2015.aspx Costs are coming down for GA. But, as good as they are, if you're a crappy pilot, another gauge ain't gonna help you.
  22. Reading through this http://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/12009/the-agm-122-sidearm-came-to-be-from-a-novel-missile-recycling-scheme And comparing to the performance I’ve seen from the Sidearm, I notice a lack of pop up maneuver in close, which has caused me to lose a few to trees in close. I also notice a lack of peripheral damage, which may come down to the damage modeling. The exploding rod should at least take out the dish if not destroy the vehicle. I’ve never seen it pop up, but after 3 missiles into an SA-6 radar, it did stop functioning despite still looking intact.
  23. So what needs to be placed in order to rearm/refuel the Harrier roadside?
