  1. NATOPS pg 176 It's one or the other.
  2. Hey Jar, This appears to work, the trigger zones might need minor tweaks. As I had started off with a slightly modded file for my use, the 200 Modex has been changed to VF-103, but other than that it should be all good. Let me know what you think. Tony VF113 Persian Gulf Case I.miz
  3. NATOPS pg 183. ^^bolding added by me for emphasis. NATOPS pg 133
  4. I added 16GB (to 32GB) more shortly after the release of 2.5. I’ve got a 6700k @4.6gHz and a 980Ti running the oculus rift. I didn’t notice any discernible benefit from it. I never really experienced any crashing beforehand. I haven’t run any benchmarks, this is just my seat of the pants feel of it. Expensive addition to the computer with no noticeable benefit. YMMV....
  5. I was thinking about this, and maybe using a late activation of a new carrier with differently placed static aircraft with a corresponding deactivation of the previous carrier would work.
  6. Yes, but it does take more computer power to render them. The static objects are lighter on frames.
  7. I already posted about this on page 1 of this thread but here it is with reference from Grimes in this thread. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=209241 Until they put it back in its trial and error.
  8. Have you radioed in for landing clearance to get the carrier lights turned on? For comparison, here’s a real world landing to see what lights you’d see landing. g5zgJFYFIRg
  9. Has anyone else figured this out? I’ve got the Stingers mod installed, but on a monitor view, you can not look around. Viewing in VR is fine, but if I’m trying to record on my server with a monitor, I can’t reposition the camera except by editing the lua.
  10. NATOPS pg 176 It's one or the other.
  11. We are missing CPL, coupled steering mode, which will couple the autopilot to the selected waypoint or tacan signal.
  12. It would be great if the pilot logbook could break out landings on the carrier from land based. I realize there may be increased carrier related info such as LSO grading/comments etc planned for an unknown date in the future but this would just be a secondary line in the logbook just to differentiate land based vs carrier landings. Thanks, Tony
  13. The SAT button template was in, but they've taken it out for further testing/tweaks. Can't wait til they put it back in!
  14. I'm guilty of running those stats up by a couple, the liveries are fantastic!
  15. I've seen in missions with the Harrier as well, it's definitely possible.
  16. If I remove the Tarawa from the group it’s fine. I still think that’s a ‘bug’, we should be able to have two ships in the same group for navigation and waypoint purposes without them sharing a tacan. My setup was the Tawara 10 NM to the starboard of the Stennis to operate Harriers off.
  17. Update....I discovered that I have the Tarawa in the same group as the Stennis and they both had the identical tacan signals. If you delete the tacan from the Tarawa, it also deletes the Stennis tacan. When you add it back to the Stennis, it also adds the identical tacan to the Tarawa. For the time being I guess you can’t have the Stennis and the Tarawa in a group if you want a tacan on the Stennis for course lines.
  18. Jar, question on the rollout view. Is that manually tracking the plane that is landing or is that automatically tracking it in view? On a monitor, I can’t get the mouse to move the view or manage to get it to track any aircraft.
  19. Only one is available in game. If you’re comfortable editing lua files you would have to comment out the existing view with - - and comment in the view you want by removing the dashes from in front of it in the lua file. Alternatively, it looks Jar has included alternate lua files to drop into the folder to get the view you want.
  20. Stall speed is also affected by weight, so the heavier you are the higher the stall speed. There’s a reason you won’t find much reference in NATOPS to IAS. It’s all about fly ‘on-speed AoA.’ There are charts in the back of the NATOPS manual referencing the different weights. A normal IRL carrier landing will be ~700-800fpm descent rate, and I’ve landed at around 1000fpm with no damage to the gear.
  21. It was an airstart as shown in the trk file and since it’s a radio signal, not 100% sure that the INS would affect it.
  22. Stennis Tacan accuracy issue https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=211145
  23. Alright, thanks Jar. I will wait eagerly for the package to come out in the mean time. Thanks again for what you guys do for CV ops on here.
  24. Any pointers for clearing the view would be mighty appreciated Jar....
