  1. Can't wait to see the updated mission, the efforts you guys go to for realism is very much appreciated!
  2. It's an expression.
  3. In my opinion, the whole confined to window is broken. Sometimes I can't get the mouse out of the window to save my life, alt-tab doesn't work, and the other half of the time it won't stay in the window.
  4. If the updates affect the Stennis.lua file, it will break. You can go into the Stingers stennis.lua and grab the eye point coordinates and paste them into the updated stennis.lua file from ED. This has worked in the past, no guarantees of future performance.
  5. Finished it! Great campaign. I really enjoyed Vulcan Forge in the Harrier and this was a great follow up. The urge to stay and mix it up after bombing in mission 4 is strong...
  6. Check to see if you’re stick is actually centered, it may be throwing off signals. Add a bit of a deadzone in and try again.
  7. Sedlo has made a pretty awesome 4 mission campaign for the Hornet, and I know ED has said they're working on campaigns to come at a later point in EA. Perhaps when they get some of the guided munitions working...
  8. It’s under Instant Action, it’s a run down a valley through green boxes that spits you out at Batumi. Fun to see how fast you can do it. I haven’t timed it but can do it in full burner.
  9. Not all three at once, but two at virtually the same time plus another one right after. miR-BiyXIvE
  10. Fly formation of the refueling pod, not the basket. Guide it to the basket with your peripheral vision. For what it’s worth, I’ve never used trim in the hornet for AAR....Harrier for sure...but never the Hornet. It self trims. Lots of little power changes , dampen out the stick movements. If you make a play for the basket you’re fixated and you’ll have a hard time holding it. Fly perfect form off the pod.
  11. I would guess as a country to add to a coalition.
  12. Caucasus map has a magnetic declination of 7°, meaning of you set it for 007°, BRC will be 000, and final approach bearing will be 351° (9° of angle for the flight deck). Sort this all out in the ME before hand and disregard ATC calls, only need them to turn on the lights.
  13. I put a cruiser in the abeam position, 1.2 nM from the deck. Picked this up from the Stingers LSO mission. Works great for tuning your eye, when it's not there you still have a good sense. And using the course line deviation works well too.
  14. I love standing on the LSO platform during flight ops. Just mind blowing. Hard to describe for someone that doesn’t have VR.....
  15. No help out there?
  16. This. Every other carrier approach, descent rate is handled via power, why would you try and use pitch at night? You can switch the tacan back into heading mode to give yourself a visual of the heading direct to the carrier in the HUD to assist with situational awareness of your final approach heading.
  17. I've searched with no luck on this. What is the checkbox in the advanced waypoint options for 'Bearing' for? Should this be checked or unchecked for sea or A/A based TACAN's. Thanks, Tony
  18. Well.....I don’t think this is real world procedures, but......if you drop the gear and turn on the landing light it helps :)
  19. I went up on that aircraft a few years ago at the Abbotsford Airshow. Great fun!
  20. Can we get any sort of indication from Razbam on the status of course line and general tacan functionality? Having the Hornet out with nearly full tacan functionality right away while it’s been a long time of waiting for a partially implemented tacan is quite frustrating, especially when there is no communication on when we will see some of these features worked on. The last communication on this thread is from May.....
  21. For those that want pictures and further reading, this is from the T-45 training material. https://www.cnatra.navy.mil/local/docs/pat-pubs/P-1211.pdf

  23. Real life comparison. Very little lighting on deck. I’d prefer realism instead of handicaps to make it easy. If night landings are too hard, stick to the daylight. I’m able to consistently grab 3 wires in VR at night without the ICLS needles yet. It’s very doable with extensive practice during daytime. g5zgJFYFIRg
  24. This is a good question, and I haven’t been able to find an answer in NATOPs. If you have the HSI set to 20NM, and you’re 60NM from the boat *but* only 3 miles off the course line, should the course line not appear as a radial to track on the HSI?
