  1. Thanks for the response, and confirming I’m not crazy. We deleted the ship and I’ll look forward to some additional functionality at some point in the future. Thx!
  2. We've got a mission where the Moskva is in, which can only be recognized by IADS as an EWR. However, it's loaded with cruise missiles and engages our CVBG. I've tried writing an exception, but I think it's crossed between being a SAM and an EWR, so the SAM commands won't work on it and vice versa. Any thoughts, aside from just deleting the ship? 3. What do the logs say?
  4. What are the winds, release parameters, alt, speed, dive angle? Laser code, fusing? I’ve dropped lots of LGBs and if I miss, it’s on me. They’re deadly accurate even on moving vehicles. Post a track file so we can see what you’re doing and offer some thoughts on what may be going wrong.

  6. His nose was down pretty quick. It wasn't a typical carrier landing, but he didn't hold it off for long, just let it come down naturally. Aerobraking is keeping the nose up with the stab as long as you can.
  7. Hasn't worked for months for me. Additionally, the tanker lights don't come on until you've closed within 1nm or so, incredibly frustrating. I sure hope the next update comes with some good news on the lighting front as it's been in constant change and a state of perpetual bugness for too long.
  8. It's not a super module. It's just a regular module of a SuperCarrier.
  9. Make sure you bind a selector in SRS for radio 3/4.
  10. I just pickled 8 off in 30 seconds and hit 8 different targets. 4x PP1, then select PP2 as it steps back through the stations to drop the second 4 bombs. Straightforward and effective.
  11. If anyone is interested in trying out the A-4 around the Stennis on a simple MP server and getting some automated LSO grades, our group has a server set up. It’s meant to just get some exposure to boat ops in a free environment in the Skyhawk, so it’s just the Stennis on the Caucasus map. Pretty awesome free module that doesn’t get a lot of activity in MP servers. This is an example of the live output to our discord channel and a live dynamic greenie board that tracks the best pass of the day. If anyone is able to get an _OK_ 5.0 pass out of Airboss on the server, they’ll get a free module of their choice from our group. 12. Agreed. I used to be able to read the offset distance CSEL at the bottom of the centre MFCD, now I can barely make it out with VR zoom.
  13. Simply amazing what you guys have done over the last number of months. Though I’m usually bugging you in the Airboss channel, our group uses so many different sections of MOOSE and I’m excited to stumble my way through these new tasks. Thank you gentlemen!!
  14. I’ve looked at your pics and the video Accipter posted and it doesn’t look like the carrier Approach lights are turned on. I see the sodium deck lighting which is not on when the approach lights are. If you have a mission that starts during the day and transitions into night, the SuperCarrier doesn’t transition to a different CASE and if you call in, it’ll send you instructions for CASE I which I assume doesn’t turn on the lights. Accipter’s video looked like a transition into darkness. Did you get the LSO call for a CASE III recovery? If I follow the radio steps with ATC, I get proper lighting behind the boat everytime. It looks as though no one called into ATC to have the lights turned on. I would recheck your ATC steps.
  15. Have you called into the carrier for recovery? I’ve done a fair number of CaSE III (and CaSE II bad weather) and the lights are more than sufficient. They look pretty awesome in VR, usually becoming visual around 1-1.5nm.

    Trap Sheet

We use Airboss frequently, platcam mod had no interaction with Airboss. Our server recorded 1839 passes in June with Airboss on the Roosevelt. We have a python script that takes the trap sheet output and graphs it to Discord live, as well as a dynamic live greenie boards for the Hornet guys and one for the Tomcat guys. This was a case I Hornet trap from earlier this evening. Yoda, OK, 4 PT, (SLO)IM , 4-wire, 18.45 seconds, FA-18C_hornet, (CASE I)
  17. That’s the beautiful thing about recovering at the boat. No two passes are quite the same. You’re always striving for that perfect pass, and learning everytime you’re behind the boat. I haven’t hit the 75 yet, but I can repeatedly and consistently trap in the 71-73 range.
  18. Great approach. I've gotten a couple of 73s, but still looking for the holy grail.
  19. Once it launches, no need to hold the trigger. I just destroyed two targets with the MavE, works good. Slick system. Just gotta remember to turn the switch back on.
  20. And miss this epic breakdown about what constitutes cheating in a video game? Nah, they’re probably eating popcorn and enjoying this.
  21. Yes, for the B/D models with the GE engine. The higher thrust of the GE engine would cause issues of asymmetric thrust if they lost an engine during takeoff or launch. The A model, AB was used regularly.
  22. They don’t use brakes at all once they’re hooked up to the cat.
  23. It's not an overinflated sense of ego. I echo mattag08's comments. We have pilots that are reliably trapping very well using the ball as it is on the SC. Mostly 3 wires, with a few 2s and a few more 4's thrown in there. It's not about the wire you catch (unless you're catching 1-wires all the time) it's about the consistency of your pass. AoA, Line-up, Ball, works just fine with the SuperCarrier. As to the other skill levels.....if the technique isn't there, should they be blaming the SuperCarrier? There's a reason naval aviators fly 100's of passes at a NOLF before they go to the boat. Practice really does pay off. I've flown hundreds of passes in the last few months and my grades show consistency.
  24. Thanks Pikes, for everything you and Franky have done to get AB integrated with SC. I'm still lost on how we can get the correct wires to work in MP, I've moved the numbers in MOOSE.lua but it's still the same issue.
