Hi@all, Today I tested the possibility for sling load operations with the Gazelle. I didn't think anything of it the first time. The second time I found it strange. As you can see, I'm going into forward flight quite slowly when the 220 lbs container finally hangs on the hook. I also don't make any hectic movements. I didn't enable weather (wind, rain, etc.) in this practice mission. So how can it be that the external load is building up so much...? SA342_Cargo_.trk

Hi, Again an extensive update package... Especially for the F-15E and the Gazelle. Above all, 2 extensions stand out positively for the Gazelle: Added: basic sling loading Helper UI to be added later Added: Periscope now has laser range finder Really?? With the Gazelle we can also carry out sling load operations in the future? How awesome is that!! But does that mean it works now? For barrels, I placed 220 lbs per mission editor. I ticked the Can Be Cargo box. For Rope Length I set the length to 16.4 feet. I have also stored buttons for External Cargo Hook and External Cargo Tactical Unhook in the Control Options. It doesn't matter whether I land right next to the cargo or hover 2-3 meters directly above the cargo: I don't see a hook, nor is the cargo attached to the hook. Then you can take the word basic literally: The basic function for key assignment is already there, but the actual function is still missing? The Gazelle is getting better and better...I'm so happy!

Hi@all, after long deliberations I am the proud 'owner' of the F-15E module since yesterday. I think RB did a decent job. The manual sets standards. And the additionally included Be Afraid of the Dark Part 1 was a great surprise (I haven't been able to read it yet, just 'scanned' it). I am very positively surprised by the module itself. Especially that RB paid attention to the little things (e.g. if you turn on the radar then you hear it, the 'shaking' of the cockpit when the turbine starts,...). Yesterday I only had about 2 hours to look at the module. And I was really happy that I managed the startup & my 1st landing. But I can say that the module will keep me busy for a very long time. The entries in the forum show that things are not yet running smoothly. And it was also clear, as with any early access.

Thank you. I have read the PDF carefully. Was very insightful. That's why I'm now the proud owner of the module (although I didn't want to be one at first).

Hi@all, I'm currently reading the following PDF (because I'm still undecided whether I should treat myself to the F-15E or not, but I'm sooo close to it... And it doesn't bother me that it's called the Frankenjet. FAQ_ver_3_-_1_Apr_2023 And here is the following about SEAD: "Q: Can the SE carry HARM? A: HELL No!! SEAD was and is not a USAF F-15E mission. Some Export only models can carry the HARM. But not USAF F-15Es." And I think I heard in some youtube video that it was also the case in RLF that the F-16Cs were sent in first. Only when it was reasonably safe did the F-15Es come.

Hallo, Da bin ich echt gespannt wie das MW-1 umgesetzt wird. Ob das auch auch so 'reinfetzt' wie bei der BK-90... Was die HARM & Kormoran angeht: Wie groß war/ist die Rolle des Tornados bei SEAD/DEAD Einsätzen und Schiffsbekämpfung? Gibt es da irgendwelche Berichte dazu? Ist bekannt ob ein deutscher Tornado jemals ein feindliches Schiff mittels Kormoran versenkt hat? Bezüglich Sidewinder: Wenn ich mir die Posts hier so durchlese verstehe ich das so das wir keine Chance haben die M-Version zu erhalten? Und wie war denn die Aussage von AviaStorm bezüglich WSO-AI? Gab es dazu von denen ein Statement?

Finde das klasse wir er das macht. Wenn das nur nicht so teuer wäre...wobei ob ich mit meinen 43 Jahren überhaupt noch den Flugschein machen dürfte...Gedankenspiele. Ich bleibe bei DCS. Werde die Videos noch ein paar mal anschauen und versuchen es in DCS so gut es geht nachzubilden.

Hallo zusammen, ja, ich will dieses Modul eigentlich nicht. Schaue mir aber auf youtube die Videos dazu an. Und langsam wächst mein Interesse. Ich denke mir halt, was die Flugzeuge betrifft: Du hast als Doppelsitzer die F-14 schon. Zockst die aber so gut wie nie. Jetzt einen weiteren Doppelsitzer, dazu NOCH ohne WSO AI...bleibst eben bei der F-16 & FA-18. Aber was die Bedienungsfreundlichkeit betrifft: Und wie ist die im Vergleich F-15E zur F-16C?

Well on page 309 of the manual this switch is called the MINELAYING SYSTEM MASTER switch. Since laying mines is not implemented in the Mi-8 in DCS World (see page 305: "The armament systems of the Mi-8MTV2 helicopter include unguided rockets, cannon and machine guns, free-falling bombs, and airborne minelaying systems (not implemented in simulation)" this switch can be ignored.

Then it's time for me to get the Syria Map. Fortunately, the summer sale is currently on...

I just don't understand why Red Flag & Stoneshild isn't updated to the A-10C Tank Killer. And I find it annoying too. Everyone else has long since done so.

Hello Rotorheads, I'm still excited about the last update of the Gazelle. What would interest me now in detail is the comparison HMP400 vs. GIAT M621. Effectiveness, penetrating power. The HMP uses .50 caliber, the GIAT uses .79 caliber. (In DCS we can still choose different types of ammunition for the GIAT, I don't think we can for the HMP. I don't know to what extent this is simulated in DCS, however). Btw: During my research on the internet I found out that the manufacturer FN also has a gun and rocket pod RMP LC.
