  1. For sure, if you’re gliding at the best glide ratio, your engine is wind milling. So the engine is driving HYD 1 and HYD 2 through accessory gear box. FBW have 5 channels, and multiple electrical power sources. Engine => Hyd 1 => hydraulic driven ALT => Channel 1 Engine => Hyd 2 => hydraulic driven ALT => Channel 2 28V non-shedded bus => Converter => Channel 3 Battery => Converter => Channel 4 Battery => Ultime Secours (5th Channel) Outboard élevons are commanded by channels 2 & 3. Inboard élevons are commanded by channels 1 & 4. Rudder is commanded by channel 2 & 4. All control surfaces are powered by HYD 1 & 2. EP is only triggered if HYD 2 pressure drops < 160 bars and can provide 190 bars. Normal pressure is 280 bars. So overall, I think that as long as your engine is wind milling, you will have FBW and HYD to fly you to the crash site :smilewink:
  2. A little bit of fun with French Air Force aerobatic team :smilewink:
  3. Please post a video or q track, we are talking without a clue here. But you could try to make the maths (total energy = kinetic energy + potential energy) at various sample points during your descent to assess if it’s right or wrong. Chevron aren’t just speed indicators but total energy indicators.
  4. Yes, but I didn’t try by clicking the button in 3D in the cockpit. I have it assigned to my X55 throttle.
  5. I just did the test on Open Beta, I don't have your issue. Maybe you should test your HOTAS assignment ? I did the test at all ranges, up and down. If I bump to 320Nm, then press radar up button, nothing happens. If I bump to 160Nm, then press radar up button, radar sets to 320Nm. And yes, maximum radar range is 80Nm, no matter what the target size is. This is because the radar is High PRF. Beyond 80Nm it wouldn't be able to telle the range. Below 80Nm, it depends on target's radar cross section.
  6. Attack run at 10'00". 10'12" : first target designation, heading 223° (heading tape). The plane is drifting to the right. Heading increases to the right to 225° and the roll order is tilted to the left. 10'15" : second designation, reset of the roll order (level). During the pull up for release, the pilot correct into the roll order, not away from it (slight oscillation). Mirage 2000N at Red Flag 1995 It's less obvious here, but at 28'33" the pilot still corrects into the wings. Mirage 2000B, same HUD display as Mirage 2000N. (to watch in slow motion :D)
  7. OK, I did the test. - designate the target - roll right to offset - the "wings" roll to the right. The more you are offset, the greater the angle to the offset side. It's a bug. It's rolling on the opposite side. One step forward, one step back. We already had this bug in the past...
  8. You're saying the system is bugged but it was requested as it's more realistic. AFAIK, after designation, the wings appears. You should maintain the wings leveled for the bombs to go on target. After designation, if you drift to the right, the wings should roll to the left to bring you back. The closer you get, the wings should return level so you "un-roll". Sorry, I don't understand your "deviation indication" Vs "turn indicator". The best I can think of is that it should be "roll order".
  9. I don’t understand
  10. This normal, both radar and Magic are already locked when you pressed SLAVE button. You have to unlock radar or Magic for one sensor to be slaved to the other :smilewink:
  11. what about cabin pressure ?

    RWR update

Great work  - Will the .lua modification pass integrity check ? - Why KJ-2000 symbol Q is common with JF-17 instead of ° for AWACS ? - SA-2 is missing and "2" is used by SA-12 not available in game. - SA-3 is missing (easy, "3" isn't used :D) - Maybe I'm wrong, but as far as I know, there isn't much difference between Tornado IDS (B) and Tornado GR4 (T) radars. KJ-2000 Thanks
  13. Actually no. The normal flight position is "NORMAL" and you will be fine up the aircraft operational ceiling around FL500.
  14. RAZ = Remise À Zéro (reset) Declutter = Allègement in French. You may find the shorten version as "Alleg." in the French cockpit (you can switch to English cockpit in options now I think). But the HUD and radar screen aren't very cluttered to begin with :smilewink:
  15. Yes, in real life, AA gun, AG gun and Magic 2 are always available. You can add one weapon: Super 530D or one type of AG weapon. In game some other configuration may work. But the safest way is to stick to the rule above, this is realistic limitation.

    Manual Radar DO

Off course since all French since all French Mirage 2000-5F are upgraded Mirage 2000C. RDI. But there is no chance that the equipment was just left there. The cockpit and weapon system are totally new. This was a factory modification with a rewiring of the aircraft. And "Mirage 2000-5F" is the specific designation for French Mirage 2000-5 :smilewink:

    Manual Radar DO

I saw some picture of TAF panel inside Mirage 2000-5F cockpit. So if it was never used on Mirage 2000C, why still test it on Mirage 2000-5F ? Still I'm not sure of anything on that matter... Now Mirage 2000-5F have been upgraded with Link 16.

    Manual Radar DO

Not use very often: probably. Never implemented: I wouldn’t be so sure.:music_whistling:
  19. You’re talking DCS, I was talking about the 50km maximum launch range quoted from the French DGA history article. I don’t think that DCS handles different lock ranges for onboard radar and Fox 1 missiles...
  20. That 50km limit isn't hard coded. Super 530D is lock on before launch. So the range limit probably depends on target's RCS. My best guess is that 50km/ 27Nm is probably for fighter size target. The seeker antenna is smaller than RDI antenna, so it will lock at closer range.
  21. I probably missed the information somewhere, but is it possible to play in MP with some buddies ? Thanks.:smilewink:
  22. I would rather say with F-15K Slam Eagle. :smilewink:

    Fake 530D launch

Yes, if he doesn’t have you on scope, he doesn’t know the range of the spike.
  24. It’s true the minimum level is still high.
  25. You can dim it using "VOYANTS" knob (on the cockpit light panel, right console), turn it to the right.
