This looks awesome, I know it would be quite an undertaking... but could you make some objects to put in to make it look a bit more populated. I know its a desert etc, but like rocks on the ground (bigger ones that is) and some afghan style huts etc? Are you doing Helmand province at all? Being a brit would be pretty sweet...

I always run AA, although not very high because I'm running fairly high resolution. I keep it about 4x AA with 8x AF, otherwise I get jaggies.... which I hate with a vengeance. I really do hope ED releases the A-10C as a 64bit app. I don't know what programming it would require, but its getting to the point where things are getting silly. We have some insane CPU's out now i.e. the intel i7 range etc coupled with high end GPU's our PC's should be laughing at DCS and LO yet we still get some pretty cruddly FPS. Please ED, go 64bit!

This is a really amazing model, I would try it out... but fear that I might be marched out the back of the hanger and shot by my squad mates for flying American trash :P. Joking aside, I can't wait to try this out. Will there be any chance of having the payloads align to the model properly? It would be pretty annoying to fly this in MP and have wacky payloads.

Fair enough... Next question... F-16 or F-18?

So far we've got the Ka-50, coming up the A-10C... would you guys prefer the next module to be a multi-role fighter... or a dedicated air to air aircraft? Just wondering because if we had a multi-role aircraft say the F-16 every one would fly that and leave the poor A-10 out. If we have a dedicated fighter... F-15? In Red Flag we would still have a healthy mix of Kamovs, Warthogs and whatever fighter there was for top cover. What do you guys think?

You know on the apache its a "look and shoot" kind of thing, is it possible to move the HMS about with track IR and shoot without having to "lock" on one particular spot, I rarely use the HMS because I simply dont get on with it well.

As much as I'd like to see some British aircraft feature in a study sim... I can't deny I'd LOVE to see an F-15C/F-16 sim. F-18 I'm not so sure about...

When I started flying F4:AF after flying LO for a few years... tried to fly through a small gathering of trees and realised that they were very much collidable objects LOL :D. Will be nice when we get better trees. Even if your not using them for cover there have been times when I've been flying at med altitude and being shot down. Looked at the track and found out there was a SAM in the middle of a wood or behind a treeline and I didn't see the launch flash... missile flies through the tree's and bam I'm in bits.

Now you just have to walk all the way back to base. :P Would have been cool to see though, like something out of a film *insert dramatic heroic music here* as he comes flying over the tree line to save your skin lol.

Tornado or Harrier PPPPLLLLLEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEEE!!!! The harrier would be pretty good to be honest, could include a few varients of it. The AV-8B for the yanks, GR7 (or lower?) for the UK.... or the FA.2 SHAR. Would love to have Ark Royal in there somewhere :P.

^^ Yeah completely right Poko24. Biggest issue for me is that I've ALWAYS flown fixed wing, so flying a helo was really strange. And frustrating as its slow god damn slow! But trying to get into it a bit more, in love with the flight model "weeeeee I'm flying sideways!!!!!"

Agreed! I love your HD pits for FC Ricardo. I HD pit for the Kamov would be amazing. I hope you will consider doing a HD pit for the Su-25A now she's had a makeover... plleeeeease!?

I do think the bouncing tracer effect is rather exaggerated from the pics I've seen (don't have FC2 yet). The cannon on the frogfoot probably would be ok with this effect, but the GAU-8 is a totally different beast. None of the videos I can find on Youtube show visible tracer or bouncing of rounds off the ground. I would like to see the effect toned down somewhat for the A-10. I know this isn't like DCS.... but keeping an effect realistic isn't a tall order.

That would be a pretty mental idea. A DCS quality F-15 or MiG-29 would be insane. Su-25 would be pretty sweet too, old school pit with none of those futuristic MFD's! :P

I'm trying to figure out how to assign my cougar microstick as an axis to use the shkval sensor. I can't seem to get it to work smoothly. Anyone know some code I could use to slip into my profile? I've been using my HAT switch up until now, but its way to sensitive and making tiny corrections is nigh impossible. Any help would be appreciated! :joystick:

That is very good news. It gets very annoying having to edit the graphics.cfg every time I change the options.

I've always hated the FPS drop when using the TV in the frog. Zooming in to reduce the FPS hit is all well and good... but it makes it useless for scanning and area for threats. To be honest, that rig used by the OP should laugh at FC... seriously! Shows how old the engine is now, and relatively speaking how badly optimized parts of it are. I really hope these issues are addressed for when the A-10 comes out. If not, I will be really disappointed. I'm no software engineer so I don't know jack s**t about programming, but I shouldn't think its a too big a problem to get by if they tried.

Lol... next week would be nice but no sorry not true. ... So much for the "every 9 months" rubbish!
