  1. Exactly, 2D clouds are just images that turn to always look at you, that's why back then almost every mission didn't had much clouds. Now they use the static with wind so the clouds moves, but there is not "dynamic" weather indeed with volumetric clouds.
  2. Also I didn't wanted to mean, sorry if I was in my last message.
  3. That's what I though your issue was after reading the thread, glad you fixed you issue and always check that your Monitor is setup at the right refreshrate
  4. It's not that at all, he is using the dynamic weather that still uses 2D clouds from before, and since ED is not interested to support 2D clouds it might just broke with the last open beta update.
  5. This sounds like a monitor going into night mode and dimming the brightness down when there is not much stuff bright on the screen
  6. The moon doesn't lit up much, it's meant to be subtle, on my oled screen it's very dimmed but I can see it thanks to the infinite contrast of the monitor. And I'm not saying anything about your point just maybe it's an issue on the 21Bis because they didn't updated it in a while and they are working on a overall of the module AFAIK ^^'
  7. I don't see near darkness I can see the ground on my screen and I can see roads trees and mountains, it looks like real life with the ground slightly lit up by the full moon and because of the glowing moon the stars are not shown, aswell as some light on the ground. (I see some stars too, a few of them but I see some of them aswell and clouds too) For the MiG-21Bis maybe the devs didn't updated the light on it, I don't know tbh.
  8. All I see is that there is a full moon witch makes a lot of the stars not visible, also it's not totally night on your screen, I can see some atmosphere on my OLED screen. Lights from far away are not rendered, also this is more like a MiG-21Bis issue related
  9. Tho the older RWR is not scaled up properly and the cockpit layout we have was only on a few EE, the real layout is more closer to a CE with the RWR on the right of the sight and other stuff aswell, tho I understand that making one cockpit who fists all the capabilities of the EE makes sense And you're wrong Iraqis got at early a EQ-2 and EQ-4 who had Doppler for navigations, had the PCAM and HUD just like CR/CT and such with a very close HUD to the Mirage 2000C, in the early 80s with CCIP bombing and such... All E variant got the CCIP and PCAM and HUD, except the EE, my complain is more about history than being mad at Aerges just making what Spain had in the time (witch is good). Like a EH-200 would the best to make because the Cockpit layout is pretty close to what others E variants had, aswell has having the same INS as the EE we have, and is from the Early 80s so a sweet spot for coldwar usage and such, right now the EE with the new RWR is from the 90s almost end of the 90s. This is just my opinion I'm not mad or anything just wanted to share that here.
  10. Oh yeah you got a point, but it's still supersampling, I did some research it's made to improve MSAA, it's a hit or miss feature and was first a bug that was kept... Tho I think this will harm FPS and maybe VRAM usage, since MSAA on deffered rendering uses a lot of VRAM and VRAM bandwidth. For the people who are curious is the two main good links that explain the thing properly and clearly : Nvidia Sparse Grid Supersampling | Overclock.net Glossary:Anti-aliasing (AA) - PCGamingWiki PCGW - bugs, fixes, crashes, mods, guides and improvements for every PC game
  11. 4x SSAA ?! Are you okay man that's at least 8K for a 1080p screen, man I feel bad for your VRAM usage
  12. Dynamic weather is not supported by volumetric clouds, so you are on the old 2D clouds from before 2020, as AFAIK ED don't really work on that anymore.
  13. Haha looking forward to it, I'll soon get access to a Mirage F1CT so I could take some close up pictures if needed
  14. I can also give you a walkaround of a Mirage F1CR that has very close up pictures with decent resolution (They have a nice picture of the Engine nozzle) Dassault Mirage F-1CR Walk Around Page 1 (primeportal.net)
  15. Yeah a lot of details are missing from the official textures sadly. thanks for taking in account of my feedback Thanks for your commitment!
  16. On your screen the plane has the laser pod that's only on F1CT, CT only had all camo paint and not a grey belly like on CR and such. I didn't checked in game yet that's all I saw on the screenshots, thanks for the work tho ! I just checked in the model viewer I will show of the issues i found : Here we san see two panels into each others Here the colors of the "Corcarde" is not the same and not correct. The belly should be a more lighter gray as you can see on this reference picture : Also the "Bec" should be a shiny metal as you can see here : Also the fins below the engine at the back is not with the correct color and have a shiny metal surface on the front it : Also the engine texture are not the right colors : Also the parachute cover is not the right color aswell : Also in general, the colors of the camo are not that correct, the grey should be lighter and a bit blue-ish and and the green should be less grainy. And finally the writings on the tail are too small compared to the real world : The engine intakes also have a shiny metal surface as you can see here : Also the nose has not the right color and the letters are not with the right police : Tho great work and still better than the default textures, I will link the place where I got all of those pictures, you can see how normals and roughmet can be still improved with the sources I linked. Thanks for your work and have a nice day! Source : SKYWARDS REVIEW - Recce Meet 2014 (skywards-review.fr)
  17. Okay ! Looking forward to it haha ! I love your work on normal maps and roughmet who make the plane more realistic!
  18. Hey sorry to bother you, but still planned for this week-end ? Have a nice day
  19. Since the M is made for spain, they choose to be more closer to a F/A-18C, so it's a mix between a F1E (Modern export variant except the EE), and a Hornet. Also the radar we have on the CE and EE "can" have CCIP but it can't because of the missing PCAM and HUD and a better INS. Tho I don't know how exactly how it behaves in the M, I only know about the F1E ones.
  20. For me I always see the dot, but the F1 3D model disappear indeed
  21. Okay I got what you mean, I still see a dot that is one pixel, but yeah it looks like the LOD has an issue? Or maybe you have low view distance setting? Not saying that you're wrong just asking myself what could be wrongnull
  22. I don't see it disappearing on your video ? It might be only me but I don't see an issue, maybe tell me at witch time in the video you don't see it anymore ? (I don't want to be mean or anything)
  23. Disable ground object shadow and reduce ground textures, you are mostly getting your VRAM filled up too much, also use fullscreen, and use shadows medium settings, flat only doesn't have shadows in the cockpit Make sure you have an SSD for Windows and for DCS (best to one for each), and put 64GB of Pagefile on the C drive (SSD with DRAM cache is better), delete fxo and metashaders2 at each update and graphical setting change and driver update
  24. Here my settings in game I have now a 4070 Ti still VRAM limited with those settings
  25. So there is an issue on your VRAM, or Drivers or a power issue on your GPU Can you DDU your drivers and reinstall the latest ones ? Did you setup your Pagefile aswell ?
