AFAIK it's to have a certain degree of electrical usage to not have issues on the alternators, it only says on the doc "prevent the plane to start the anti-surge resistor of the alternators."
-
There was also a method to go "down" during refueling at like 500fpm or 800fpm (can't remember the exact number). To help with the alternators overheating.
-
Yes it's different but the AI willl behave the same since the radar is the same, and the engine too, it's more an avionics difference that for AI won't change much, on the player's hand it will change a lot since you will have a cockpit from the 2000s with some modern stuff, weapon wise it's pretty much the same as well. (I'm talking about the F1M). The EE add only barax and phimax pods compared to the CE, the EE is basically a CE with a fuel probe and a VERY basic INS, the EE is the most unusual version since it's a very late version with almost no upgrade and not the PCAM and the HUD that every other EX variant had. But the AI will behave the same, you can only expect the M to make a big difference in DCS itself.

When FAF refueled with a C160 they did only 10min of refueling max and with radar on pointed to the ground and half flaps. And engine was kept in a very stable regime. All of that was done to prevent the plane to start the anti-surge resistor of the alternators.

Wdym ? It's mostly like that on the versions : F1CX is "Chasse" variant from the 70s, pretty much close to each others just like the CE we can fly. F1EX is modern export variant from the 80s (except the EE) who has Mirage 2000 like hud and CCIP bomb, and INS (and TGP, Exocet and AS-30L on the EQ-5/6). F1CR/CT are like E but with recon specificity on the CR (80s) and CT are C-200 upgraded with a laser under the nose. F1BX are dual seat variant for training most of them are similar to a C variant from the 70s (No hud). F1AX variant are bomber variant without a Cyrano IV radar, from the 70s, there isn't much info since it's a pretty basic plane. F1M is the Spanish upgraded variant made with Thomson-CSF, you have a HUD who is a mix of a Mirage 2000 and F/A-18 hornet in term of symbology, CCIP CCRP and MFD in the cockpit with better RWR with better antenna. F1EE is kinda an exception, it has C avionics (No HUD) with a very basic INS and a fuel probe, only a very few of them got the upgraded RWR in the late 90s. in dcs only the emport changes and that's all.

Omg I'm so hyped ! I was waiting for you to make a livery for this plane since it's release !
-
Sadly it uses the Mirage 2000-5 radar so don't expect it to be possible, even a Mirage F1CR/CT is still classified and most Mirage F1 that had a HUD can't be made since it uses the same avionics as the CT/CR... But the F1M is not classified because it was made by Spain and no french technology that is classified is in it AFAIK.

Already done all of that, and no DCS won't use anything from my HDD

Since a few update ago, I keep getting freeze on the game I run at 150-200 fps I tried everything that people on ED Discord told me to do, nothing helped, I lowered a LOT my graphics and managed to stop the saturation of my RAM. Since they didn't helped me they told me to make a thread here... Here is my DXDiag, DCS.log and my last flight on Blueflag 80s with massive freezes My rig : Ryzen 7 5800X3D 32GB 3200MHz CAS 16 RTX 3080 10GB Vision OC 2 MX500 1TB SSD Windows 11 Pro 3440x1440 Monitor AW3423DW dcs.log BLUE-FLAG.80s.miz-dynamic-20230518-145744.7z DxDiag.txt

Reported | External Model issues and errors
Loukuins replied to Loukuins's topic in Bugs and Problems
I just want that they acknowledge all those issues (I have more coming btw), and make a better product, I understand that this can take a lot of time, but I hope in the end they listen to us -
Hello, As asked I can finally do this big report about everything that is not correct on the 3D model. First the holes for the Engine intake covers are not there : you can see the little hole As well you can see in the picture that the Engine Intake is at a angle, witch is not on the current 3D model from Aerges nullhere a picture from the manual that show pretty nicely the angle of the air intake. As showed here, some cables in the cockpit external model are plugged in nothing. Some panels are not in the right size compared to real lifenull Here more stuff that are not correct and not at the right angle and size on the intake : Here more panels that are at the wrong area (left side and bottom) and also missing panels on the middle : Here too some missing panels (bottom) and the gear cover is not correct : Also between the fuselage and the air intake, there is a thing that sticks out too far and makes contact with the intake, on a real Spanish F1 this is not like that : (see on the bottom) On the chaft/flare dispenser there is some panels that are not at the right place and not correctly done, and the dispenser is not as long as it is in real life : Finally the Pitot on the nose are not correct, and the nose is angled correctly as well : Some pictures are mine taken on a Mirage F1CT the others comes from a Walkaround of a Mirage F1M C14.57 (link : http://www.primeportal.net/hangar/luc_colin3/mirage_f-1m_c.14/index.php?Page=1 ) I hope that you make this plane more accurate, don't mind asking me questions, I can give more pictures if needed.

I'm moving out, when I spend more time in DCS I will report all of that, sorry for the inconvenience
-
There is a lot of issues on the external and internal 3D models, when I finished moving out I can do a detailed report, but a scan of the external model would be best, there is issues where it will need a redo of the 3D model tbh
-
The 3D models are far from being accurate, and they already said that they will not update it before a long time, be aware that the 3D models we have in DCS as the same that was used in the announcement back in 2015 and so use old tech and no 3D scans are used...

Alt+Enter does not enter full screen; stuck in windowed
Loukuins replied to Nealius's topic in 2D Video Bugs
Yeah don't be surprised, I reported 2 big issues with the game months ago and still nothing... I will keep reporting them until it's fixed. -
As reported months ago, the issue is still present in the game, it's way less than before but STILL there. Shadows are on High. Reinstalled Windows 2 times, changed GPU Drivers nothing helped.
-
Hello, It's all in the title, after posting a dozens of times to report that massive issue, the issue is STILL THERE after MONTHS of patch. I already sent dozens of tracks and screenshot showing the issue, this is not reported because people don't pay attention but I got this issue on 75% of my flights and when I have the issue EVERYONE in the lobby have it too. I have a RTX 3080, tried dozens of drivers, reinstalled windows 2 times, reinstalled DCS, changed every DCS settings. One of the last screenshots was taken in December of 2022!! 4YA_Cau_PVE2_V2.46[JAN_FEW]-20230422-141815.trk 4YA_Cau_PVE2_V2.46[JAN_FEW]-20230422-141655.trk options.lua

reported MSAA not working on GROUND | Issue reported and fix in progress
Loukuins replied to Loukuins's topic in 2D Video Bugs
I checked with the last update, issue is still there. I know that the dev are working on it, I'm saying that to keep people updated. -
As what I saw in the manual I can agree that it doesn't show that much noise, also the greek video looks like it's using older versions of the Cyrano IV, thus the one we had in DCS is Cyrano IVM the latest variant
-
Thanks for letting us know that, but are you planning to reduce the noise even if it's still WIP? (Like soon so we get a most acceptable level of noise on the scope)
-
Got this issue, also the yaw issue is present when being below FL100, since release the issue is STILL NOT FIXED

As far as I tested, it seems only Caucasus has the issue rn first screen is Syria, the second is PG : MSAA 4x at 3440x1440
