We've just wrapped up our most recent campaign on the Caucasus. A massive thank you to our mission makers: Jonas 'Wife' Rembratt, Seb 'Robin' Strauch, and Jason 'Snooze' Tyrlage + many more who helped test, roleplay, and produce materials. The "Winter Roses" campaign was based on a fictional late 2014, with escalating tensions in Georgia following a rigged election and the rise of the pro-democracy Rustaveli Revolution. Pro-Russian factions responded with harassment and even violence, threatening stability and security in Georgia, for civilians and UN peacekeepers alike. Russia, politically fractured and partially incapacitated due to its president being hospitalized and unconscious, failed to veto a UNSC resolution, mandating NATO with providing security for UN peacekeepers, and establishing a no-fly zone to stabilise the region. The campaign chronicled NATO's efforts to counter Russian-backed militia aggression by suppressing advanced SAM systems, and maintain air superiority while avoiding a full-scale war. Each mission represented a critical phase in the conflict: 10 missions that begun with peacetime sorties to then culminating in coordinated OCA and DEAD strikes to de-militarise the Russian-backed militia. Early missions brought new gameplay to the group and introduced players to the situation, geography, and how to act in a “cold war”, where it’s not possible to employ weapons to solve any problem, often using show of force/non lethal deterrents to resolve AI and human controlled storylines. The Digital Coalition Air Force (DCAF) is pleased to announce that it is opening recruitment once again. Sharpen your skills and get the best out of what DCS has to offer. We are currently doing selection for controllers (whether ATC, GCI/ABM, JTAC/FAC), F-15E Strike Eagle, F-16C Viper, and F/A-18C Hornet. DCAF is a organised and academic milsim group with most of its community based in the EU. We pride ourselves on our structured online training curriculum, instructors, and the ops that we offer. Presently, we alternate between a training and operations season, the former is used to train new cadets to the required squadron standard, and for current members to stay current. We undertake this rigorous training program to ensure that all our members meet the standards required for operations, getting the best experience from the immersive scenarios our mission makers create. Our times: During training seasons we fly as a group every Thursday 1830GMT/BST with individual squadron training happening on Tuesdays or over the weekends. It is a minimum requirement to regularly attend every Thursday, and dependent on some roles, attend twice a week due to instructor workload and meaningful progression. During operations seasons we alternate weeks between planning/practice and executing the missions where the minimum attendance requirement is at least twice a month. Our squadrons: (v)RAAF No.75 Squadron 'Magpies' - F/A-18C Hornet No.75 Squadron is DCAF's newest addition to the line-up with the ambition to provide unparalleled versatility and multirole capability to operations. Commitment, tenacity, and self-improvement are core values to our squadron's culture. After completing our comprehensive training program, you'll be adept at roles ranging from CAP against 4th generation threats in BVR or WVR, to low-level strike and aerial interdiction against the toughest of targets - regardless of the environment or conditions. Join the Magpies and learn to seek and strike. (v)USAF 119th ‘Jersey Devils’ - F-16C Viper 119th 'Jersey Devil's is DCAF's dedicated "Wild Weasels", specializing in hunting and killing enemy SAMs and SHORAD systems, clearing a path for the other squadrons. We are looking for pilots that accept high risk, that are flexible and able to solve problems fast and creatively as they pop up. We are usually first in and last to leave, and we rely on our own ability to defend against air and ground threats alike! If you like fast and dynamic problem solving, and love flying the "racing model" of all airframes, then you might have what it takes to be a Devil! (v)USAF 335th ‘Chiefs’ - F-15E Strike Eagle The 335th ‘Chiefs’ is DCAF’s premier air-to-air squadron, traditionally focused on advanced fighter tactics and air superiority. With the introduction of the F-15E Strike Eagle, the Chiefs have embraced its multirole capabilities, expanding their legacy of precision air combat into the strike domain. Thanks to the F100-PW-229 engines, APG-70 radar, and heavy load capacity, the Strike Eagle allows our pilots to stay on station longer, fly higher, and strike harder than any other platform in DCAF’s roster. If you are interested in rigorous training, mastering both air-to-air and air-to-ground operations, and getting the best out of what DCS has to offer, this is the squadron for you. By the end of your training, you will be able to operate effectively in a flight, execute four-ship tactical formations (TACFORM), and conduct Beyond Visuals Range (BVR) engagements in any weather or time of day – all without datalink. You will be trained in both Defensive and Offensive Counter Air (DCA/OCA) fundamentals to tailor the squadron’s air-to-air tasking to any mission scenario, including Air Combat Maneuvering (ACM) execution and air to air refueling (AAR) - day or night. Beyond air combat, you will also learn to employ the Strike Eagle’s unique precision strike capability – from JDAM and LGB missions to low-level ingress and pop-up attacks at night in hostile airspace. The 335th blends traditional air superiority doctrine with modern strike tactics, making our pilots adaptable, effective, and ready for any tasking. If you’re looking for structure, challenge, and camaraderie – the Chiefs are waiting for you. Wampum! Combined Controller and Support Wings: DCAF started as a place to practice radio telephony with real-life procedures and continues to do so. Air Traffic Controllers and Aerospace Battle Managers are a mainstay in our operations, providing a great setting for both experienced and aspiring controllers to hone their skills. We are accessible for those looking to see what it takes to run our air operations (whether you're freelancing in the DCS community or a military/commercial professional). Our Support Wing helps deliver an immersive experience for DCAF's operations (role playing, logistics, and other supernumery roles). We provide FREE licences for LotAtc on our servers for both members and guests. Simple Radio Standalone is used for radio communications, with Combined Arms being required for ground roles. How to apply: APPLICATION FORM If you are interested in joining, please apply using the above link, then join our Discord (feel free to use the @Recruitment Officer tag in the new-members-chat to ask any questions). Successful applicants will be invited for an introductory talk. Due to some roles being competitive, checkrides are given to select the appropriate candidates, these steps will be laid out by your Recruitment Officer. It is a good idea to be familiar with the module that you are applying for (i.e. ability to air to air refuel and understand basic combat systems), as these will be assessed. Due to the nature of our training and operations seasons, you should be confident that at least the first 6 months will generally be free for you to attend (holidays, annual leave etc. of course are absolutely fine). Ideally, candidates who will have a predictable schedule for the next year are preferred. We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on the training season, DCAF Recruitment Team https://discord.com/invite/F94F4FUsXG https://dcafoc.wixsite.com/home

While creating a livery with custom ordinance for the F-14, All the ordinance retains its texture at a distance except for the MK-82, while zooming out the LOD goes back to default which is odd because it doesn't happen with the other custom ordinance. While zooming out further, at a certain point the texture comes back so not sure if a bug with the different LOD files associated with the MK-82. I've tried both in modelviewer (Using mk82,lods) and in-game but no difference. Also made sure export contains mip maps Images uploaded here (shows different stages of zoom on MK-82 texture, should stay white at all levels of detail): https://imgur.com/a/sMDWSqp

This is to protect younger members from potentially distressing material related with warfare discussions. The age of 18 Years of Age has been selected as it is a generally agreed upon age of Adulthood and self determining legal consent (particularly in the EU, UK and USA). Members younger than 18 Years of Age may apply, but will not be considered for application until after their 18th Birthday. Members that are later found to have lied about their age and stated that they were older than 18 Years of Age in their application, or at the time of joining, when they were in fact younger, will be removed from the DCAF and their application to join will not be considered in the future.

Go to the mission editor, set a radio preset for a specific channel (i.e. Channel 2 -> 307.55) Start the mission, go to comm 1 on the ICP and scroll through the radio preset channels -> channel 2 frequency will be listed as 307.54 don't know what's going on there, works fine with any other number (.56 will stay .56 and so on) edit: happens during cold start. haven't tested hot start edit 2: added screenshot of the ME radio setup and Trackfile Radio_presets_off.trk

@Falcon 9 Anytime We don't have any experience expectations for new members. Happy to take you from zero - hero. Only recommendation is that you have a Basic HOTAS/headtracking to help with the workload. If you're interested in joining. Please fill in an application form. We run our operations Thursdays 18:30zulu. But while you're in training, we're flexible and it's by appointment/open sessions. Best Chris "Posh" Callow -

@Falcon 9 Hello! Sorry for the late response, you've probably already found the bind but it's under HOTAS Category and it's ENABLE Switch - Depress And for ICP related binds, I recommend if you have a numpad on your keyboard, to setup on that. It's what I use and makes it really easy to input data into the jet while flying. For ICP Master Mode Button - A-A I use Num/ ICP Master Mode Button - A-A - Num- Hope this helps! -Chris "Posh" Callow -

Join us next Friday (18th of December) for our XMAS Cross-Country event at 1830 Zulu! Register: https://forms.gle/2pah9Jf4JzEB4GvK7 Meet in Discord: https://discord.gg/Y7kfhKu [OPTIONAL] Skinpack: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-JokhYgEKlEnkA2vhWkRI2WGa9-GXiS5/view?usp=sharing Pilots will depart and navigate to the next airfield on the cross-country route using only warbirds (Sochi-Adler > Gudauta > Sukhumi > Kutaisi > Senaki-Kolkhi > Kobuleti > and then finally Batumi). Upon arriving, pilots will circle the airfield and wait for all other pilots to arrive. Once all pilots are in the vicinity of the airfield, music will be played in Discord. When the music stops - pilots will attempt to land and come to a complete stop as quickly as possible. Points equal to the order of stopping will be awarded (example: the 1st pilot to land and stop will receive 1 point, the 3rd pilot to land and stop will receive 3 points). This mini-game will be repeated at each airfield on the route and a running total of points will be kept. The pilot with the least amount of points at the end of the cruise will be declared the winner. Additional rules/penalties to keep the mini-game fair will be discussed on the day of the event. Bring your best airmanship and see you there! - Chris "Posh" Callow Digital Coalition Air Force

Hey guys, since ED made changes to how bort numbers display on the tail a while ago in LUA, my custom canopy textures (external texture) aren't replacing the default, I have a feeling that the LUA has changed but I'm unable to export a full description.lua from modelviewer to see, anyone figured this one out? How they used to look  Cheers
-
I'm trying to change the canopy, all the liveries have the same atm, can't extract LUA to see if that's been changed, anyone know?
