  1. More Ultimate Argument Pictures. The Su-27S "Flanker-B" really, truly is a beautiful aircraft!
  2. Some Ultimate Argument Screenshots. Here're some shots of mission 4 of the Su-27's Ultimate Argument DLC campaign. The last two are of my "landing".;) The Flanker, especially in this scheme, really is a beautiful aircraft.
  3. Yeah, I did mission one, and successfully landed.
  4. I am going to be playing through the DCS Su-27: The Ultimate Argument Campaign in a day or two, and I know I'm going to need advice and help, being a complete DLC campaign noob, so I thought I'd open a thread where me (or anyone) can ask questions about it. I'll even help those who I can. I only have one question for now, before starting it, though: Do I NEED to land at the end of each mission for mission success? I'm not horrible at landing, but I'm certainly not very good at it, either.
  5. I was intending on getting some kind of TrackIR soon, and was wondering what you would recommend. I do have two parameters for suggestions, though: 1-It needs to be Windows 10 compatible. 2-It needs to be in the $30-50 range. Also, how simple are these to operate? And, do they plug in, or just clip on, or what?
  6. Thank you very much for all your replies and advice. I think I'll get the Mirage 2000C, as I can't afford both right now, and I prefer more modern, fourth-generation aircraft. I may get the F-5E-3 Tiger II sometime in the future, but right now I think the M-2000 sounds better than the F-5.
  7. Independance Day. In preparation for the 4th of July, I made a couple of aerobatics missions. They're not the best, and I forgot to set the date to 4/7/18 on the F-15 one, but here they are. F-15C Aerobatics.trk Su-27 Aerobatics.trk
  8. Guess what just happened in the 5th mission of the Su-27S "Flanker-B"'s free campaign? Shortly after takeoff, I got the mission success message! Apparently, all of the F-15Es had crashed during or shortly after takeoff!:megalol::megalol::megalol:
  9. Well, I don't have and can't afford the Hornet, and I do prefer more advanced aircraft. I'm sure the F-5E-3 Tiger II is a great 3rd-Generation dogfighter, and I'll probably get it sometime (maybe this Christmas), but I think right now I'll get the Mirage 2000C.
  10. I'm totally going for the Mirage 2000C. The F-5E-3 Tiger II sounds like a capable dogfighter, and a good cold-war era aircraft, but I prefer more modern fighters. Plus, having better radar, missiles, and ground attack systems is nice. BTW, I thought the F-5E could use the AIM-9M, which is better than the Magic II, so why can't the F-5E-3?
  11. Okay, but which one is easier to learn?
  12. Okay, but isn't the Sidewinder better than the Magic II?
  13. I thought, since there have been so many threads about which aircraft you would like to fly in DCS, why not one about any aircraft just for AI control? It does allow more advanced aircraft, which is nice, and new aircraft don't take as long to make. I think I'd like a new MiG-29 variant, maybe a MiG-29K or MiG-35, though the MiG-33 (MiG-29M) has a strange pull towards me. I'd also (obviously) like some new Flankers, maybe the Su-30MKK (or Su-30M2), Su-30MKI (or Su-30SM1), and the Su-35S.
  14. I thought this was the best place to put this, as it involves two different modules. Anyways, as you may have noticed;), there's a 50% off sale on most DCS products (all but the three newest: Persian Gulf, F/A-18C, and M-2000 campaign), and it lasts until July 5. I was intending on purchasing either the F-5E Tiger II, or the Mirage 2000C, but as they're the same price ($60-50% off-$30), I was wondering which one to get. So, I have a few questions: 1-Most importantly, as I have no experience with full fidelity modules, which is easier to learn and fly? 2-Which is more fun and rewarding to fly? 3-Which is a better dogfighter? They each can carry laser-guided bombs, but presumably neither can guide them, and neither of them have many missiles. I prefer air-to-air combat, but a little ground attack never hurt anyone (except the enemies:megalol:), and as they both can carry guided bombs, ground attack becomes more enticing. Overall, what do you think? Which should I purchase? I won't do any actual shopping until Independence Day, so I have plenty of time to think about it.
  15. Nope, I wish it was, but I have both FC3 and Su-27 installed, and only the FC3 theme is available.
  16. Yup. Also, in mission 5, 'Hold The Line', you have to visit the mission planner, or F-15Es 3 and 4 will start on top of each other. They don't explode (if only they did ;)), but you can't really kill them when they're on the ground.
  17. I have similar issues, I'll describe my version of your 4: 1-I know, so I just modify it in the mission editor, and have my flight start in the air. 2-So THAT'S what happened to them, I wondered where the Su-25Ts had went. 3-I haven't experienced that. Or maybe I have, but didn't notice. 4-Yup.
  18. Okay, thanks a lot!
  19. I noticed that there is a sale on several modules, including the F-5E and Combined Arms, which I was intending to purchase at some point in the very near future. I have three questions: 1-What's the sale about? Just Summer? 2-If so, will there also be an Independence Day sale? 3-How long will this sale last?
  20. F-16C Blocks With AGM-88 HARM? I was wondering, which blocks can carry the HARM? I know that the 50D/52D were the only ones intended to be "Wild Weasel" aircraft, but, according to this site, as well as others, blocks 30/32, 40/42, and 50/52 can also use it. My question: If the 50D/52D were the only ones intended for it, yet all F-16Cs but block 25 could carry it, can the other ones employ the HTS, and therefore be able to effectively use the missile?
  21. So, basically, it's a hodge-podge of proposed but not used Su-30 variants?
  22. Hello everyone, I have a question that I've never been able to figure out. Like the title says, what variant is the DCS Su-30? It only says 'Su-30 "Flanker-C"', so I have no idea. Ideally, I'd say it's an Su-30MKK/MK2/M2, but those have 12 pylons, this one only has 10. And if it's an Su-30M/K, it shouldn't be able to use any weapons that the already flyable Su-27S can't. Also, how come it can carry R-27ETs (though oddly enough, not R-27Ts) on the intake stations? I thought that all Flankers could only carry them on the intermediate wing pylons. Can someone please enlighten me on this? It's been bugging me for a while now.
  23. I'd totally love modern Russian aircraft, I voted Su-30. IF any version were actually an option, I'd obviously go for the Su-30MKI and MKK (and sub-variants; MKA/MKM/SM/SM1; MK2/MK3), but I could probably even settle for an Su-30M or Su-30K. By the way, which variant is the one we have in DCS? I'd go for Su-30MKK, except it only has 10 pylons. As far as I know, the only Su-30s with multi-role and R-77 had 12 pylons.
  24. Okay, I realize that lots of work goes into them, I just don't have any first-hand experience, so I just kind of take what I read for truth.
