  1. The Su-27 will obliterate the Hornet, they're so easy to kill in Fortress Mozdok! Of course, that's including BVR, and excluding the AIM-9X, but I still think the Flanker has the advantage.
  2. Yeah, I personally don't find the A-10A, Su-25, MiG-29A, or MiG-29G too appealing, but the MiG-29S with more fuel, an internal ECM jammer, and the R-77 can be quite fun. It's campaign is great, to. If it ever goes outside of FC3, get it. Other than that, the F-15C, Su-27, and Su-33 are the only ones really worth having.
  3. Sorry about it being paused, but I just HAD to have these two!:)I knew if I unpaused it, I'd lose them.;)
  4. Okay, just thought it was a possibility. Anyways, lovely Su-30MKA!:)
  5. You working with Gizmondo, r2-d2? Love the pics!
  6. Do you have your game on Steam? NTTR is after the change, so it has to be used on Steam.
  7. Hello, everyone! I have a question regarding the difference between night and day in DCS World. How early in the morning is "day" and how late in the evening is "night"? As in, what time periods differentiate daytime and nighttime fligh time? I'm wanting to get some nighttime flight time in the MiG-29S, and was wondering if 5:30 A.M. is early enough to be counted as night. By the way, why is the Su-27's cockpit lighting so much worse than the MiG-29S's?
  8. Some Aerobatics. Screenshot: There they go (the tanks)!;) Track 1: A little something I did for St. Patrick's day a while back. Track 2: Sorry it's so blasted dark, at least the flares look cool. The smoke gen is yellow.:( Track 3: Made it to 1,550km/h IAS!:) By the way, how do I figure out the URL link to an image, so I can make it big? 9. Final Mission Some pics of campaign mission 10. 1-3 are of my load, 4-7 are of combat, 8-10 are of my jet/more of my load, and the final 2 are of 2 and 3, respectively, who have gone into combat and are keeping their tanks. Unfortunately, the game crashed just as I was about to end it.:cry:
  10. I already have 2.5OB, but I have an update available. Will updating erase any of my stats (logbook or otherwise) or campaign progress?
  11. OTH Mission 7. Some pics of the Strike Escort-Airfields mission. 1-3 are just shots of my load, 4 is the same but with AB, 5-6 are a couple of Fox 1!s, and 7 and 8 are just before and after my R-77 killed a wounded F-4. Did the mission with no losses but 2 of my wingmen, and only one was legit, as the other just ran out of fuel. I didn't save a pic of it, but boy, do they like to hold on to their tanks!
  12. Thanks a whole lot, jojo! So, the Mica is a better choice for WVR than the Magic II, right? ZHeN, I believe there is. It's also called the RVV-SD, and it's a longer range version of the R-77.
  13. Over The Hump Mission 6. The Su-24MR "Fencer-E", the fastest jet ever made (I'm convinced it's faster than the MiG-25 and SR-71;)). Not really, but boy, can it gain and maintain speed! Enjoy the screenshots.:)
  14. How does the R-77-1 compare with the AMRAAM (any version)? And, is there a difference between the Mica EM and the Mica RF? What about between the Super 530D and the Super 530F?
  15. Do you mean the Su-25T, or the plain version with FC3? Either way, I've never done the campaign, and I don't know if there are any fire extinguishers, or any other way to keep the flames from destroying your aircraft. I myself prefer the fighters, mainly the F-15C, MiG-29S, and Su-27, but the Frogfoot is a worthy attack aircraft. I hope you figure out how to make it! Sorry I don't know how to help.
  16. AWESOME!!! That's my favorite scheme, to. I like the Su-30SM, Su-34, and Su-35 in a nice black.
  17. Yeah, I don't have the F-15C, but I do have the Su-27 and FC3, and the Flankers from the module and bundle are identical.
  18. You have to pick and choose your engagements in the MiG-29S. Do I have enough fuel? Do I have enough missiles? Do I have enough wingmen? What are they, how many are there, and what are they carrying? I'd still recommend the jet, though, it's fun, reasonably maneuverable, and can use the R-77 (it has a relatively short range, I know, but launching at high altitude and high speed will increase that). 1x1,500L tank, 2xR-27ER, 2xR-73, and 2xR-77 is a recipe for fun (just be careful not to go against F-15Cs.;)).:)
  19. The waypoint/navigation system works fine, and it can HOJ. The MiG-29S also has a fun campaign, and the R-77s are jus plain cool, if not super good.
  20. Hi, I own FC3, and I love it. I'd totally recommend getting it during a sale. The Su-33 is similar to the Su-27, but it has 2 more pylons, I think a touch more fuel, and, unfortunately, only half the chaff/flare load. It's heavier, and can't accelerate as fast, but it's still a good aircraft, and it's capable of in-flight refueling. As for the MiG-29, the MiG-29S is the only version worth flying, but it's not bad. Sure, it doesn't have a lot of internal fuel (though it does have a bit more than the other variants), and just adding the centerline tank doesn't help that much, but it is also capable of in-flight refueling. Plus, it has internal ECM (the others don't have any at all; it's not super good, but better than nothing), and it's the only flyable Russian jet to use an ARH missile (the R-77, which really isn't AMRAAM-like that much, but it sure looks cool). All in all, they're both good jets, you just have to know how to use them well. FC3 also includes the A-10A, F-15C, and Su-25, in case you ever wanted to give them a try, as well as the MiG-29A and MiG-29G. I'd really recommend it!
  21. Also, he said something about the F/A-18C being the only full fidelity fourth gen aircraft. What about the M2KC?
  22. Alright, I'll try that whenever I do the campaign again. I did manage to takeoff successfully enough to complete it. In the Su-27, I usually like to begin pulling up at ~230km/h, as I don't like to remain on the ground long enough to blow my tires. This usually gets me into the air at ~270km/h. I'll try doing the same in the MiG-29S, though, being lighter and accelerating faster, I imagine I'll be in the air at closer to ~250km/h.
  23. Hello, everyone! I thought I'd post this thread, as I have a few questions about the real versions of DCS missiles (and some that aren't in DCS), and I'm sure others do, as well. Anyways, I was wondering what the real 'ranges' (I know that a lot of factors are involved) of the AIM-120B/C, R-27ER1/ET1, R-73 and R-77 are, as I've seen ranges of ~100km for the AIM-120B/C, ~80km for the R-27ER1/ET1, ~20-30km for the R-73, and ~80km for the R-77, which obviously isn't the case in the game. The encyclopedia-listed ranges are a good deal shorter-ranged, and the actual launch ranges shorter still. Also, I have a few questions about missiles that aren't in DCS. So, here goes: 1-What are the 'real ranges' for the AIM-120B/C, R-27ER1/ET1, R-73, and R-77? 2-What about the AIM-120D, MBDA Meteor, R-73M, R-74, and R-77-1? 3-What version is the in-game R-73? Is it the baseline R-73, or at least the R-73E? 4-Between the AIM-120D, MBDA Meteor, and R-77-1, which is probably the most capable? I'd also like just general information on the three, in particular the Meteor.
  24. Hmm...Good idea, except that my jet gets pelted, like it's being shot, and one time I managed a takeoff, but not before losing the right rear tail plane.
