  1. The external pods feed the forward and aft tanks with their own pumps. Try the following: Set your KA on the ramp with about 5-10% fuel (i.e. not much), with external fuel tanks. If you switch the external tank pumps on, you should slowly see the fuel quantity increase on the gauge (note the gauge only indicates internal fuel quantity!)
  2. Like I said.. if I recall correctly, ED recorded the sound from the real thing. If people decide to make mods for it, it's either because they don't know, or they "want" a different sound from the aircraft (for their own immersion I suppose).
  3. Example please, I cannot find one.
  4. ED recorded the sound from the real thing IIRC.
  5. Does that include your own sig? :music_whistling: "---:wallbash:" :P
  6. Well, there ya go ;)
  7. Exactly. Have an option in the user CP somewhere which gives the user the option to turn off or on the sig's in general, or pictures in the sig, whatever.
  8.
  9. User CP works ok for me, cannot give rep though.
  10. Downloading/installing
  11. My view: It would depend on the background knowledge. If you don't have anyknowledge/experience with flight in general, learn the principles of flight first, experience them. Get systems knowledge (both general and specific). THEN jump into combat. But my tip first and foremost.. learn to fly WITHOUT the TGP! If at a later point you need to spot something QUICKLY, you will be able to, where as if you learned combat just on the TGP you won't. IIRC, real A-10 student pilots only get to fly with the TGP at a later stage in their training.
  12. I'm setting the prop for 2700 RPM during the approach and leave it there. During the landing it won't be near that RPM (low power). Why I do this: if you have to go-around and you wank the throttle forward, you won't overrev the engine. If you were to have the prop lever fully forward, there is a possibility to overrev the engine. Plus 2700 RPM has a nice powerband :)
  13. Very nifty :) Should come in handy for a couple of racing games (which I haven't played in a while since I've built my pit :P ) Nice!
  14. Good stuff ;) My hope is they eventually implement the cockpit fan(s) :P
  15. Because it is. OT: +1 from me.
  16. What was your IAS at altitude?
  17. No :devil_2: Thou shalt always think of bacooon!!
  18. They are calling it DCS: F15C module... Given that the full clickable cockpit etc is still under consideration I feel this would negate the purpose of the true DCS title. (DCS being full on, 6DOF, AFM, full systems etc..)
  19. Because It's Bacon! By SkateZilla's request :music_whistling:
  20. Hi! Perfectly possible :) Couple of things to check: - Near your left knee in the cockpit the engine startpanel, there is a radio selector (red thumbsliders). Make sure that's set to the same frequency on both aircraft; - On the right hand side panel make sure D/L is switched ON and all modes are set properly.
  21. I feel your pain brother...
  22. Aaah d'oh! :music_whistling: Clearly I need a cup of coffee :P
